The metabolites and microbiota in tongue coating display distinct characteristics in certain digestive disorders, yet their relationship with colorectal cancer (CRC) remains unexplored. Here, we employed liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry to analyze the lipid composition of tongue coating using a nontargeted approach in 30 individuals with colorectal adenomas (CRA), 32 with CRC, and 30 healthy controls (HC). We identified 21 tongue coating lipids that effectively distinguished CRC from HC (AUC = 0.89), and 9 lipids that differentiated CRC from CRA (AUC = 0.9). Furthermore, we observed significant alterations in the tongue coating lipid composition in the CRC group compared to HC/CRA groups. As the adenoma-cancer sequence progressed, there was an increase in long-chain unsaturated triglycerides (TG) levels and a decrease in phosphatidylethanolamine plasmalogen (PE-P) levels. Furthermore, we noted a positive correlation between N-acyl ornithine (NAOrn), sphingomyelin (SM), and ceramide phosphoethanolamine (PE-Cer), potentially produced by members of the Bacteroidetes phylum. The levels of inflammatory lipid metabolite 12-HETE showed a decreasing trend with colorectal tumor progression, indicating the potential involvement of tongue coating microbiota and tumor immune regulation in early CRC development. Our findings highlight the potential utility of tongue coating lipid analysis as a noninvasive tool for CRC diagnosis.

Ulcerative colitis (UC), a chronic and nonspecific inflammatory disease of the intestine, has become a prevalent global health concern. This guideline aims to equip clinicians and caregivers with effective strategies for the treatment and management of adult UC patients using traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). The guideline systematically evaluated contemporary evidence through the Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development, and Evaluation framework. Additionally, it incorporated insights from ancient Chinese medical sources, employing the evidence grading method found in traditional TCM literature. The development process involved collaboration with multidisciplinary experts and included input from patients with UC. The guideline, based on a comprehensive review of available evidence, present 40 recommendations. They offer a condensed overview of TCM's role in understanding the pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment of UC, along with an assessment of the efficacy of various TCM-based treatments. TCM exhibits promising outcomes in the treatment of UC. However, to establish its efficacy conclusively, further high-quality clinical studies on TCM for UC are essential.

Photocatalytic oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) offers a promising hydrogen peroxide (H2 O2 ) synthetic strategy, especially the one-step two-electron (2e- ) ORR route holds great potential in achieving highly efficient and selectivity. However, efficient one-step 2e- ORR is rarely harvested and the underlying mechanism for regulating the ORR pathways remains greatly obscure. Here, by loading sulfone units into covalent organic frameworks (FS-COFs), we present an efficient photocatalyst for H2 O2 generation via one-step 2e- ORR from pure water and air. Under visible light irradiation, FS-COFs exert a superb H2 O2 yield of 3904.2 µmol h-1 g-1 , outperforming most reported metal-free catalysts under similar conditions. Experimental and theoretical investigation reveals that the sulfone units accelerate the separation of photoinduced electron-hole (e- -h+ ) pairs, enhance the protonation of COFs, and promote O2 adsorption in the Yeager-type, which jointly alters the reaction process from two-step 2e- ORR to the one-step one, thereby achieving efficient H2 O2 generation with high selectivity.

BACKGROUND AND AIMS: The optical diagnosis of colorectal cancer (CRC) invasion depth with white light (WL) and image-enhanced endoscopy (IEE) remains challenging. We aimed to construct and validate a 2-modal deep learning-based system, incorporated with both WL and IEE images (named Endo-CRC) in estimating the invasion depth of CRC. METHODS: Samples were retrospectively obtained from 3 hospitals in China. We combined WL and IEE images into image pairs. Altogether, 337,278 image pairs from 268 noninvasive and superficial CRC and 181,934 image pairs from 82 deep CRC were used for training. A total of 296,644 and 4528 image pairs were used for internal and external tests and for comparison with endoscopists. Thirty-five videos were used for evaluating the real-time performance of the Endo-CRC system. Two deep learning models, solely using either WL (model W) or IEE images (model I), were constructed to compare with Endo-CRC. RESULTS: The accuracies of Endo-CRC in internal image tests with and without advanced CRC were 91.61% and 93.78%, respectively, and 88.65% in the external test, which did not include advanced CRC. In an endoscopist-machine competition, Endo-CRC achieved an expert comparable accuracy of 88.11% and the highest sensitivity compared with all endoscopists. In a video test, Endo-CRC achieved an accuracy of 100.00%. Compared with model W and model I, Endo-CRC had a higher accuracy (per image pair: 91.61% vs 88.27% compared with model I and 91.61% vs 81.32% compared with model W). CONCLUSIONS: The Endo-CRC system has great potential for assisting in CRC invasion depth diagnosis and may be well applied in clinical practice.

Anaerobic ammonium oxidation coupled with Fe(III) reduction (Feammox) is an autotrophic biological nitrogen removal (BNR) technique in treating low-C/N wastewater. However, the nitrogen removal rate of Feammox is limited by the extracellular electron transfer. In this study, wood activated carbon (AC) was chosen as electron shuttle to enhance the start-up of the Feammox process. Within an operational period of 150 days, the NH4+-N removal efficiency reached 97.9-99.5% with a volumetric loading rate (VLR) of 0.04-0.06 kg N m-3 d-1. Batch experiments indicated that compared with Fe2O3-AQDS and Fe2O3 groups, Fe2O3-AC group showed higher catalytic performance and TN removal efficiency reached 85.7%. Quinone (CO) and phenolic (-OH) chemical groups of AC were equipped with electron transfer capacity (76.51 ± 9.27 µmol e- g-1). Moreover, Fe(II)/Fe(III) species and the secondary iron minerals were found in our system. Microbial analysis showed that Proteobacteria and Acidobacteriota, which observed with relatively high abundance, were played an important role in the integrated Feammox system. This study demonstrates the significant influence of AC on Feammox process and provides an enhanced biological nitrogen removal strategy for practice engineering application.

Herbal plants typically have complex compositions and diverse mechanisms. Among them, bioactive constituents with relatively high exposure in vivo are likely to exhibit therapeutic efficacy. On the other hand, their bioavailability may be influenced by the synergistic effects of different bioactive components. Cytochrome P450 3A (CYP3A) is one of the most abundant CYP enzymes, responsible for the metabolism of 50% of approved drugs. In recent years, many therapeutic herbal constituents have been identified as CYP3A substrates. It is more evident that CYP3A inhibition derived from the herbal formula plays a critical role in improving the oral bioavailability of therapeutic constituents. CYP3A inhibition may be the mechanism of the synergism of herbal formula. In this review, we explored the multiplicity of CYP3A, summarized herbal monomers with CYP3A inhibitory effects, and evaluated herb-mediated CYP3A inhibition, thereby providing new insights into the mechanisms of CYP3A inhibition-mediated oral herb bioavailability.

Microbially derived extracellular polymeric substances (EPSs) occupy a large portion of dissolved organic matter (DOM) in surface waters, but the understanding of the photochemical behaviors of EPS is still very limited. In this study, the photochemical characteristics of EPS from different microbial sources (Shewanella oneidensis, Escherichia coli, and sewage sludge flocs) were investigated in terms of the production of reactive species (RS), such as triplet intermediates (3EPS*), hydroxyl radicals (•OH), and singlet oxygen (1O2). The steady-state concentrations of •OH, 3EPS*, and 1O2 varied in the ranges of 2.55-8.73 × 10-17, 3.01-4.56 × 10-15, and 2.08-2.66 × 10-13 M, respectively, which were within the range reported for DOM from other sources. The steady-state concentrations of RS varied among different EPS isolates due to the diversity of their composition. A strong photochemical degradation of the protein-like components in EPS isolates was identified by excitation emission matrix fluorescence with parallel factor analysis, but relatively, humic-like components remained stable. Fourier-transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry further revealed that the aliphatic portion of EPS was resistant to irradiation, while other portions with lower H/C ratios and higher O/C ratios were more susceptible to photolysis, leading to the phototransformation of EPS to higher saturation and lower aromaticity. With the phototransformation of EPS, the RS derived from EPS could effectively promote the degradation of antibiotic tetracycline. The findings of this study provide new insights into the photoinduced self-evolution of EPS and the interrelated photochemical fate of contaminants in the aquatic environment.

BACKGROUND: Early diagnosis of gastric cancer is difficult in China due to the lack of a valid method for endoscopic screening. Early gastric cancer, especially flat gastric cancer, lacks specific endoscopic features. Many cases appear to be similar to ordinary gastritis cases under normal white light endoscopy, which can lead to misdiagnosis. AIMS: In order to find a new method to improve detection rate of early gastric cancer in China, we designed a trial to validate linked color imaging (LCI) for screening of early gastric cancer in a high-risk population, as compared to white light imaging (WLI). METHOD: Subjects were randomly allocated to either the LCI + WLI or WLI group and then subjected to gastroscopy and all endoscopies were made after special preparation. All endoscopists had knowledge of this experiment. The main indicator was the rate of detection of gastric neoplastic lesions. The difference in the detection rate between the two groups is reported. RESULTS: The detection rate was 4.31% in the WLI group and 8.01% in the LCI + WLI group. This is a difference of 3.70% with a P value < 0.001 and an OR (95% CI) of 1.934 (1.362, 2.746). The lower limit of the 95% CI was greater than 0, and the superiority margin was 1%. CONCLUSION: The detection rate of gastric neoplastic lesions was higher in the LCI + WLI group than in the WLI group, LCI might be an effective method for screening early gastric cancer.

BACKGROUND: Drainage is essential for source control of the infection in a pelvic abscess. The purpose of this study was to report 2 cases of endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)-guided drainage of the pelvic abscess and review the literature of different modalities of EUS-guided drainage of pelvic abscess. CASE PRESENTATION: A 60-year-old male developed a pelvic abscess 1 month after laparoscopic complete tumor resection. An abdominal CT showed a mass shadow (about 7.1 cm × 5.1 cm) in the right pelvic region. Another case was an 85-year-old male who developed a pelvic abscess 3 days after recurrent tumor resection of multiple organs. The CT showed pelvic effusion and gas accumulation (approximately 6.5 cm × 4.2 cm), and the intestinal tube above the small intestinal anastomosis was dilated with effusion. A 19G-A puncture needle was used to puncture the abscess. An 8-mm cylindrical balloon was inserted, followed by a 10 Fr-3 cm double pigtail stent and an 8.5 Fr drainage tube. After EUS-guided drainage of pelvic abscess, the symptoms disappeared without recurrence. CONCLUSIONS: EUS-guided drainage is an effective and safe method for treating pelvic abscesses as long as the drainage modality is appropriately selected based on the etiology, size, and mucus viscosity of the abscess.

Membrane filtration combined with pre-coagulation has advantages in advanced wastewater treatment. As a model of a microbial polysaccharide, research on the effect of sodium alginate (SA) on alum hydrolysis has been rare; therefore, it is necessary to gain insight into the interface interaction between SA molecules and Al species, and the role SA plays during floc formation. In this study, the interaction mechanism between SA and Al species has been investigated, by evaluating the effect of SA on floc characteristics and membrane fouling during coagulation-ultrafiltration with different Al species coagulants (AlCl3 and preformed Al13). Al 2p X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) confirmed that the complexation of ligands and Al species strongly affects the reaction pathways for Al hydrolysis and the final nature of the flocs, as Al13 can be decomposed into octahedral precipitates when SA is added. The presence of SA can affect floc properties, which have important impacts on the characteristics of the cake layer and membrane fouling. Due to the bridging ability of SA, the floc strength increased by about 50% using Ala, which was much better than preformed Al13, with a percentage increase of only about 6%. Moreover, the recovery factor of HA-flocs was decreased from 96% to 43% with SA addition of 0.5 mg/L. It was concluded that SA can affect the characteristics of the cake layer and membrane fouling through participating in the formation of primary flocs and altering the Al hydrolysis pathway.

BACKGROUND AND STUDY AIMS: For bowel preparation, using a reduced volume of polyethylene glycol (PEG) solution without influencing its effectiveness would be preferable. While simethicone shows great potential as an adjunctive agent, data on its use are limited. We aimed to clarify whether simethicone added to low-volume PEG solution improved bowel cleansing. PATIENTS AND METHODS : Consecutive adult patients registered for colonoscopy were recruited from seven medical centers in South China between 15 April and 15 July 2015 and prospectively randomized into two groups: 2 L PEG (conventional group) and 2 L PEG plus simethicone (simethicone group). The primary endpoint was the effectiveness of bowel cleansing according to the Boston Bowel Preparation Scale (BBPS). Secondary endpoints included cecal intubation time, adenoma detection rate (ADR), patient safety and compliance, and adverse events. RESULTS : We included 290 and 289 patients in the conventional and simethicone groups, respectively, for analysis. The proportion with acceptable bowel cleansing (BBPS ≥ 6) was significantly higher in the simethicone group than in the conventional group (88.2 % vs. 76.6 %; P < 0.001). The mean (SD) BBPS score was significantly lower in the conventional group (6.5 [1.8] vs. 7.3 [1.7]; P < 0.001), as was the bubble score (2.5 [0.7] vs. 2.8 [0.5]; P < 0.001). The average cecal intubation time was significantly shorter in the simethicone group (6.3 [3.1] vs. 7.5 [5.1] minutes; P < 0.001). The ADR in the right colon was higher in the simethicone group than in the conventional group (16.6 % vs. 10.3 %; P = 0.03). Safety and compliance, including the taste, smell, and dosage of PEG, were similar for both groups. CONCLUSIONS: Simethicone added to low-volume PEG solution improves bowel-cleansing efficacy, with similar safety and compliance, shorter cecal intubation time, and higher ADR.

ETHNOPHARMACOLOGICAL RELEVANCE: Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi (SBG), a widely used traditional Chinese medicine, exhibits anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Wogonin is one of the primary bioactive components of SBG. Acetaminophen (APAP)-induced liver injury (AILI) represents a prevalent form of drug-induced liver damage and is primarily driven by inflammatory responses and oxidative stress. AIM OF STUDY: To investigate the therapeutic effects of Wogonin on AILI and the underlying mechanisms. MATERIALS AND METHODS: C57BL/6 J mice were pre-treated with Wogonin (1, 2.5, and 5 mg/kg bodyweight) for 3 days, followed by treatment with APAP (300 mg/kg bodyweight). The serum and liver tissue samples were collected at 24 h post-APAP treatment. Bone marrow-derived macrophages and RAW264.7 cells were cultured and pre-treated with Wogonin (5, 10, and 20 µM) for 30 min, followed by stimulation with lipopolysaccharide (LPS; 100 ng/mL) for 3 h. To examine the role of the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway in the therapeutic effect of Wogonin on AILI, mice and cells were treated with LY294002 (a PI3K inhibitor) and MK2206 (an AKT inhibitor). RESULTS: Wogonin pre-treatment dose-dependently alleviated AILI in mice. Additionally, Wogonin suppressed oxidative stress and inflammatory responses. Liver transcriptome analysis indicated that Wogonin primarily regulates immune function and cytokines in AILI. Wogonin suppressed inflammatory responses of macrophages by inhibiting the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway. Consistently, Wogonin exerted therapeutic effects on AILI in mice through the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway. CONCLUSIONS: Wogonin alleviated AILI and APAP-induced hepatotoxicity in mice through the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway.

Decreased levels of ß-hydroxybutyrate (BHB), a lipid metabolic intermediate known to slow the progression of colorectal cancer (CRC), have been observed in the colon mucosa of patients with inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). In particular, patients with recurrent IBD present an increased risk of developing colitis-associated colorectal cancer (CAC). The role and molecular mechanism of BHB in the inflammatory and carcinogenic process of CAC remains unclear. Here, the anti-tumor effect of BHB was investigated in the Azoxymethane (AOM)/Dextran Sulfate Sodium (DSS)-induced CAC model and tumor organoids derivatives. The underlying mechanisms were studied using transcriptome and non-target metabolomic assay and further validated in colon tumor cell lineage CT26 in vitro. The tumor tissues and the nearby non-malignant tissues from colon cancer patients were collected to measure the expression levels of ketogenic enzymes. The exogenous BHB supplement lightened tumor burden and angiogenesis in the CAC model. Notably, transcriptome analysis revealed that BHB effectively decreased the expression of VEGFA in the CAC tumor mucosa. In vitro, BHB directly reduced VEGFA expression in hypoxic-treated CT26 cells by targeting transcriptional factor HIF-1α. Conversely, the deletion of HIF-1α largely reversed the inhibitory effect of BHB on CAC tumorigenesis. Additionally, decreased expression of ketogenesis-related enzymes in tumor tissues were associated with poor survival outcomes in patients with colon cancer. In summary, BHB carries out anti-angiogenic activity in CAC by regulating HIF-1α/VEGFA signaling. These findings emphasize the role of BHB in CAC and may provide novel perspectives for the prevention and treatment of colonic tumors.

BACKGROUND: Colorectal adenoma is benign glandular tumor of colon, the precursor of colorectal cancer. But no pharmaceutical medication is currently available to treat and prevent adenomas. PURPOSE: To evaluate efficacy of Shenbai Granules, an herbal medicine formula, in reducing the recurrence of adenomas. STUDY DESIGN: This multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial was conducted by eight hospitals in China. METHODS: Patients who had received complete polypectomy and were diagnosed with adenomas within the recent 6 months were randomly assigned (1:1) to receive either Shenbai granules or placebo twice a day for 6 months. An annual colonoscopy was performed during the 2-year follow-up period. The primary outcome was the proportion of patients with at least one adenoma detected in the modified intention-to-treat (mITT) population during follow-up for 2 years. The secondary outcomes were the proportion of patients with sessile serrated lesions and other specified polypoid lesions. The data were analyzed using logistic regression. RESULTS: Among 400 randomized patients, 336 were included in the mITT population. We found significant differences between treatment and placebo groups in the proportion of patients with at least one recurrent adenoma (42.5 % vs. 58.6 %; OR, 0.47; 95 % CI, 0.29-0.74; p = 0.001) and sessile serrated lesion (1.8 % vs. 8.3 %; OR, 0.20; 95 % CI, 0.06-0.72; p = 0.01). There was no significant difference in the proportion of patients developing polypoid lesions (70.7 % vs. 77.5 %; OR, 1.43; 95 % CI, 0.88-2.34; p = 0.15) or high-risk adenomas (9.0 % vs. 13.6 %; OR, 0.63; 95 % CI, 0.32-1.25; p = 0.18). CONCLUSION: Shenbai Granules significantly reduced the recurrence of adenomas, indicating that they could be an effective option for adenomas. Future studies should investigate its effects in larger patient populations and explore its mechanism of action to provide more comprehensive evidence for the use of Shenbai Granules in adenoma treatment.

Background: Tongue coating microbiota has aroused particular interest in profiling oral and digestive system cancers. However, little is known on the relationship between tongue coating microbiome and colorectal cancer (CRC). Methods: Metagenomic shotgun sequencing was performed on tongue coating samples collected from 30 patients with CRC, 30 patients with colorectal polyps (CP), and 30 healthy controls (HC). We further validated the potential of the tongue coating microbiota to predict the CRC by a random forest model. Results: We found a greater species diversity in CRC samples, and the nucleoside and nucleotide biosynthesis pathway was more apparent in the CRC group. Importantly, various species across participants jointly shaped three distinguishable fur types.The tongue coating microbiome profiling data gave an area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) of 0.915 in discriminating CRC patients from control participants; species such as Atopobium rimae, Streptococcus sanguinis, and Prevotella oris aided differentiation of CRC patients from healthy participants. Conclusion: These results elucidate the use of tongue coating microbiome in CRC patients firstly, and the fur-types observed contribute to a better understanding of the microbial community in human. Furthermore, the tongue coating microbiota-based biomarkers provide a valuable reference for CRC prediction and diagnosis.

At the time of the spread of the COVID-19 epidemic, blurred lung signs suggested by imaging examination are particularly common. Novel coronavirus infection is mainly caused by respiratory symptoms. In the early stage of imaging examination, multiple small patchy shadows or ground glass shadows and invasive shadows of both lungs are dominant. While the pulmonary involvement in Crohn's disease (CD) is rare and not widely reported. For CD patients, the pulmonary manifestations do not belong to its routine symptoms. The lung involvement of CD patients is difficult to attract clinicians' attention. If CD patients have vague lung manifestations but have no response to routine treatment, they should consider the respiratory diseases related to CD. We describe a rare case of granulomatous inflammation associated with Crohn's disease. The patient do not respond to conventional treatment. The final treatment plan was CD immunomodulatory therapy (oral corticosteroids and azathioprine). After treatment, a review of the lung CT showed focal fibrosis and significant improvement in the lung lesions. It suggests that CD related respiratory diseases should be considered when CD patients have abnormal lung manifestations that do not respond to conventional treatment.

Swine wastewater has become one of the main agricultural pollution sources. Quantitative characterization of dissolved organic matter (DOM) is often used in various water bodies, but there are few studies on DOM analysis of swine wastewater. In this study, swine wastewater was treated by a step-feed two-stage anoxic/aerobic (SF-A/O/A/O) process. By using parallel factor (PARAFAC) analysis of fluorescence excitation-emission matrix (EEM), the main components of swine wastewater were aromatic protein-like substances (C1), tryptophan-like substances (C2), fulvic acid-like/humic-like substances (C3) and humic-like substances (C4). Protein-like substances were degraded significantly, while humic-like substances were difficult to be utilized by microorganisms. Fluorescence spectral indexes showed that the characteristics of endogenous input and humus were enhanced. Moreover, several significant correlations between DOM components, fluorescence spectral indexes and water quality indexes were observed. These findings help to understand the biochemical role and the impact of DOM in water quality monitoring and control of swine wastewater.

BACKGROUND: Colorectal adenoma (CRA) is a significant precancerous lesion of sporadic colorectal cancer (CRC). CRA is likely to recur after polypectomy, increasing the risk of CRC. Chinese herbal medicine (CHM) has been used to reduce CRA recurrence. This review aims to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of oral CHM in reducing CRA recurrence compared to other treatments (placebo, routine care, no treatment, and conventional medicine). METHODS: We will search for randomised controlled trials (RCTs) from nine major biomedical databases in English and Chinese from their inception to July 2023. The RCTs that investigate the effects of oral CHM in reducing CRA recurrence compared to other treatments will be involved. We will exclude trials using CHM extract or external application of CHM, cohort study and cross-section study. The Cochrane Risk of Bias Tool version 2 will be used to assess the quality of included studies. Data will be analysed using Review Manager software 5.4 and STATA. The random effect model will be used. The heterogeneity of intervention effects will be tested by Chi2 (Cochrane Q) and I2 statistics. Funnel plots will assess publication bias if more than ten studies are included. Subgroup and sensitivity analysis will be conducted when possible. DISCUSSION: This review will discuss the effectiveness and safety of oral CHM in reducing CRA recurrence. It will show the critical information for clinicians in the decision-making process and countries to develop clinical guidelines on CRA management. Background: Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is the global most common chronic liver disease. Non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), an inflammatory subtype of NAFLD, has been shown to significantly increase the risk of colorectal adenoma (CRA). Therefore, from the perspective of bioinformatics analysis, the potential mechanisms of NASH/NAFLD-CRA can be explored. Methods: In this study, we screened the differentially expressed genes (DEGs) and core effect pathways between NASH and CRA by analyzing the single-cell data of CRA patients and the high-throughput sequencing data (GSE37364 and GSE89632) in the online database. We screened therapeutic targets and biomarkers through gene function classification, pathway enrichment analysis, and protein-protein interaction network analysis. In terms of single cell data, we screened the core effect pathway and specific signal pathway of cell communication through cell annotation and cell communication analyses. The purpose of the study was to find potential biomarkers, therapeutic targets, and related effect pathways of NASH-CRA. Results: NASH-CRA comorbidities were concentrated in inflammatory regulation-related pathways, and the core genes of disease progression included IL1B, FOSL1, EGR1, MYC, PTGS2, and FOS. The results suggested the key pathway of NASH-CRA might be the WNT pathway. The main cell signal communication pathways included WNT2B - (FZD6 + LRP5) and WNT2B - (FZD6 + LRP6). The send-receive process occurred in embryonic stem cells. Conclusions: The core genes of NASH-CRA (FOS, EGR1, MYC, PTGS2, FOSL1, and IL1B) may participate in inflammation and immune responses through up-regulation in the process of disease occurrence, interfering with the pathophysiological process of CRA and NASH. NASH-CRA produces cell signal communication in the WNT pathway sent by WNT2B and received by FZD6, LRP5, and LRP6 in embryonic stem cells. These findings may help formulate early diagnosis and treatment strategies for CRA in NAFLD/NASH patients, and further explore corresponding prognostic markers and potential approaches. The significance of scRNA-seq in exploring tumor heterogeneity lies in promoting our understanding of the expression program of tumor related genes in tumor development patterns. However, the biggest challenge is that this analysis may miss out on some biologically significant gene expression programs.
