RESUMO

Proton batteries are competitive due to their merits such as high safety, low cost, and fast kinetics. However, it is generally difficult for current studies of proton batteries to combine high capacity and high stability, while the research on proton storage mechanism and redox behavior is still in its infancy. Herein, the polyanionic layered copper oxalate is proposed as the anode for a high-capacity proton battery for the first time. The copper oxalate allows for reversible proton insertion/extraction through the layered space but also achieves high capacity through synchronous redox reactions of Cu2+ and C2O42-. During the discharge process, the bivalent Cu-ion is reduced, whereas the C═O of the oxalate group is partially converted to C-O. This synchronous behavior presents two units of charge transfer, enabling the embedding of two units of protons in the (110) crystal face. As a result, the copper oxalate anode demonstrates a high specific capacity of 226 mAh g-1 and maintains stable operation over 1000 cycles with a retention of 98%. This work offers new insights into the development of dual-redox electrode materials for high-capacity proton batteries.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Hepatectomy combined with hepatic artery reconstruction in the operation for hilar cholangiocarcinoma (Klatskin tumor) is a challenging procedure. We present a video of left hepatectomy combined with right hepatic artery reconstruction for hilar cholangiocarcinoma. PATIENT AND METHODS: The patient was a 60-year-old male who presented with obstructive jaundice. The imaging examination showed that the confluence of left and right hepatic ducts and the wall of common hepatic duct were thickened, the local lumen was narrowed, the intrahepatic bile duct was dilated, and the right hepatic artery was invaded by tumors nearly 2.3 centimeters. Left hepatectomy with total caudate lobectomy, resection with reconstruction of right hepatic artery, hilar lymphadenectomy, and Roux-en-Y hepaticojejunostomy were performed. RESULTS: The operation time was 345 min, and the amount of bleeding was about 400 ml. There was no blood transfusion. The pathology showed poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma, with negative margins of common bile duct and right hepatic duct, and negative results of all lymph nodes. The patient's recovery was uneventful and he was discharged on postoperative day 14. The patient was disease free at 12-month follow-up evaluation. CONCLUSIONS: Hepatic artery resection and reconstruction procedure is safe and feasible for hilar cholangiocarcinoma in a highly tertiary hepatobiliary center.

RESUMO

Cantharidin is a terpenoid from coleoptera beetles. Cantharidin has been used to treat molluscum contagiosum and some types of tumors. Cantharidin is highly toxic, and cantharidin poisoning and fatal cases have been reported worldwide. The mechanisms underlying cantharidin-induced toxicity remain unclear. Cantharidin contains anhydride, which may react with biologic amines. This study aimed to examine the chemical reactivity of cantharidin toward nucleophiles and characterize adducts of cantharidin with biologic amines in vitro and in mice. Here two types of conjugates were formed in the incubation of cantharidin under physiologic conditions with free amino acids, a mimic peptide, or amine-containing compounds, respectively. Amide-type conjugates were produced by the binding of cantharidin anhydride with the primary amino group of biologic amines. Imide-type conjugates were generated from the dehydration and cyclization of amide-type conjugates. The structure of the conjugates was characterized by using high-resolution mass spectrometry. We introduced the 14N/15N and 79Br/81Br isotope signatures to confirm the formation of conjugates using L-(ε)15N-lysine, L-lysine-15N2, and bromine-tagged hydrazine, respectively. The structure of imide conjugate was also confirmed by nuclear magnetic resonance experiments. Furthermore, the amide and imide conjugates of cantharidin with amino acids or N-acetyl-lysine were detected in mouse liver and urine. Cantharidin was found to modify lysine residue proteins in mouse liver. Pan-cytochrome P450 inhibitor 1-aminobenzotriazole significantly increased the urine cantharidin-N-acetyl-lysine conjugates, whereas it decreased cantharidin metabolites. In summary, cantharidin anhydride can covalently bind to biologic amines nonenzymatically, which facilitates a better understanding of the role of nonenzymatic reactivity in cantharidin poisoning. SIGNIFICANCE STATEMENT: Anhydride moiety of cantharidin can covalently bind to the primary amino group of biological amines nonenzymatically. Amide and imide conjugates were generated after the covalent binding of cantharidin anhydride with the primary amino groups of amino acids, a mimic peptide, and protein lysine residues. The structure of conjugates was confirmed by 14N/15N and 79Br/81Br isotope signatures using isotope-tagged reagents and nuclear magnetic resonance experiments. This study will facilitate the understanding of the role of nonenzymatic reactivity in cantharidin poisoning.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: When selecting inhaled therapies, it is important to consider both the active molecules and the device. Extrafine formulation beclomethasone dipropionate plus formoterol fumarate (BDP/FF) has been available for some years delivered via pressurized metered-dose inhaler (pMDI). More recently, a breath-activated, multi-dose dry-powder inhaler (DPI), the NEXThaler, has been approved. The current study aimed to demonstrate the non-inferiority of BDP/FF delivered via the DPI vs. via the pMDI, in Chinese adults with asthma. METHODS: After a four-week run-in period, when all patients received BDP/FF pMDI 100/6 µg, two inhalations twice daily (BID), patients were randomized equally to BDP/FF pMDI or DPI, both 100/6 µg, two inhalations BID for 12 weeks. The primary objective was to demonstrate non-inferiority of BDP/FF DPI vs. BDP/FF pMDI in terms of average pre-dose morning peak expiratory flow (PEF) over the entire treatment period. RESULTS: Of 252 and 242 patients in the DPI and pMDI groups, respectively, 88.5% and 88.8% completed the study. The primary objective was met, with no statistically significant difference between the treatments in average pre-dose morning PEF, and with the lower limit of the 95% CI above the -15 L/min non-inferiority margin (adjusted mean difference: 5.25 L/min [95% CI: -0.56, 11.06]). Adverse events were reported by 48.4% and 49.6% patients in the DPI and pMDI groups, respectively, most mild or moderate. CONCLUSIONS: The NEXThaler DPI is a similarly effective device to the pMDI for the administration of BDP/FF in adults, so extending the options available for the management of asthma.

RESUMO

INTRODUCTION: The sesquiterpene glycosides (SGs) from Dendrobium nobile Lindl. have immunomodulatory effects. However, there are no studies on the growth conditions affecting its contents and quantitative analysis methods. OBJECTIVE: In the present study, a quantitative analysis method for six SGs from D. nobile was established. We explored which growth conditions could affect the contents of SGs, providing a basis for the cultivation and clinical application of D. nobile. METHODS: Firstly, based on the optimization of mass spectrometry parameters and extraction conditions for six SGs in D. nobile, a method for the determination of the contents of six SGs was established using high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with triple quadrupole tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC-QqQ-MS/MS) in multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) mode. Then, the methodology of the established method was validated. Secondly, the established method was applied to determine the contents of six SGs from 78 samples of D. nobile grown under different growth conditions. Finally, chemometrics analysis was employed to analyze the results and select optimal growth conditions for D. nobile. RESULTS: The results indicated significant variations in the contents of SGs from D. nobile grown under different growth conditions. The primary factors influencing SG contents included age, geographical origin, altitude, and epiphytic pattern. CONCLUSION: Therefore, the established method for determining SG contents from D. nobile is stable. In particular, the SG contents were relatively high in samples of 3-year-old D. nobile grown at an altitude of approximately 500 m on Danxia rocks in Chishui, Guizhou.

RESUMO

To address the issues of sluggish response and inadequate precision in traditional gate opening control systems, this study presents a novel approach for direct current (DC) motor control utilizing an enhanced beetle antennae search (BAS) algorithm to fine-tune the parameters of a fuzzy proportional integral derivative (PID) controller. Initially, the mathematical model of the DC motor drive system is formulated. Subsequently, employing a search algorithm, the three parameters of the PID controller are optimized in accordance with the control requirements. Next, software simulation is employed to analyze the system's response time and overshoot. Furthermore, a comparative analysis is conducted between fuzzy PID control based on the improved beetle antennae search algorithm, and conventional approaches such as the traditional beetle antennae search algorithm, the traditional particle swarm algorithm, and the enhanced particle swarm algorithm. The findings indicate the superior performance of the proposed method, characterized by reduced oscillations and accelerated convergence compared to the alternative methods.

RESUMO

In this work, a functional covalent gel material is developed to resolve the severe dendritic growth and hydrogen evolution reaction toward Zn/electrolyte interface in aqueous zinc-ion batteries (ZIBs). A covalent gel layer with superior durability forms homogeneously on the surface of Zn foil. The covalent gel with triazole functional groups can uniformize the transport of Zn2+ due to the interactions between Zn2+ ions and the triazole groups in the covalent gel. As a consequence, the symmetrical battery with triazole covalent gel maintains stable Zn plating/stripping for over 3000 h at 1 mA cm-2 and 1 mAh cm-2 , and the full cell combined with a V2 O5 cathode operates steadily and continuously for at least 1800 cycles at 5 A g-1 with a capacity retention rate of 67.0%. This work provides a train of thought to develop stable covalent gels for the protection of zinc anode toward high-performance ZIBs.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Myocardial infarction (MI) and post-MI-heart failure (pMIHF) are a major cause of death worldwide, however, the underlying mechanisms of pMIHF from MI are not well understood. This study sought to characterize early lipid biomarkers for the development of pMIHF disease. METHODS: Serum samples from 18 MI and 24 pMIHF patients were collected from the Affiliated Hospital of Zunyi Medical University and analyzed using lipidomics with Ultra High Performance Liquid Chromatography and Q-Exactive High Resolution Mass Spectrometer. The serum samples were tested by the official partial least squares discriminant analysis (OPLS-DA) to find the differential expression of metabolites between the two groups. Furthermore, the metabolic biomarkers of pMIHF were screened using the subject operating characteristic (ROC) curve and correlation analysis. RESULTS: The average age of the 18 MI and 24 pMIHF participants was 57.83 ± 9.28 and 64.38 ± 10.89 years, respectively. The B-type natriuretic peptide (BNP) level was 328.5 ± 299.842 and 3535.96 ± 3025 pg/mL, total cholesterol(TC) was 5.59 ± 1.51 and 4.69 ± 1.13 mmol/L, and blood urea nitrogen (BUN) was 5.24 ± 2.15 and 7.20 ± 3.49 mmol/L, respectively. In addition, 88 lipids, including 76 (86.36%) down-regulated lipids, were identified between the patients with MI and pMIHF. ROC analysis showed that phosphatidylethanolamine (PE) (12:1e_22:0) (area under the curve [AUC] = 0.9306) and phosphatidylcholine (PC) (22:4_14:1) (AUC = 0.8380) could be potential biomarkers for the development of pMIHF. Correlation analysis showed that PE (12:1e_22:0) was inversely correlated with BNP and BUN, but positively correlated with TC. In contrast, PC (22:4_14:1) was positively associated with both BNP and BUN, and was negatively associated with TC. CONCLUSIONS: Several lipid biomarkers were identified that could potentially be used to predict and diagnose patients with pMIHF. PE (12:1e_22:0) and PC (22:4_14:1) could sufficiently differentiate between patients with MI and pMIHF.

RESUMO

Background: Tuberculosis (TB), a multisystemic disease with protean presentation, remains a major global health problem. Although concurrent pulmonary tuberculosis (PTB) and extrapulmonary tuberculosis (EPTB) cases are commonly observed clinically, knowledge regarding concurrent PTB-EPTB is limited. Here, a large-scale multicenter observational study conducted in China aimed to study the epidemiology of concurrent PTB-EPTB cases by diagnostically defining TB types and then implementing association rules analysis. Methods: The retrospective study was conducted at 21 hospitals in 15 provinces in China and included all inpatients with confirmed TB diagnoses admitted from Jan 2011 to Dec 2017. Association rules analysis was conducted for cases with concurrent PTB and various types of EPTB using the Apriori algorithm. Results: Evaluation of 438,979TB inpatients indicated PTB was the most commonly diagnosed (82.05%) followed by tuberculous pleurisy (23.62%). Concurrent PTB-EPTB was found in 129,422 cases (29.48%) of which tuberculous pleurisy was the most common concurrent EPTB type observed. The multivariable logistic regression models demonstrated that odds ratios of concurrent PTB-EPTB cases varied by gender and age group. For PTB cases with concurrent EPTB, the strongest association was found between PTB and concurrent bronchial tuberculosis (lift = 1.09). For EPTB cases with concurrent PTB, the strongest association was found between pharyngeal/laryngeal tuberculosis and concurrent PTB (lift = 1.11). Confidence and lift values of concurrent PTB-EPTB cases varied with gender and age. Conclusions: Numerous concurrent PTB-EPTB case types were observed, with confidence and lift values varying with gender and age. Clinicians should screen for concurrent PTB-EPTB in order to improve treatment outcomes.

RESUMO

The inhibition of tyrosinase (TYR) activity is an effective measure to inhibit melanin synthesis. At present, there are many methods with discrepant details that study the TYR inhibitory activity of samples. Under the same experimental conditions, this paper systematically studies whether enzyme species and sample addition methods are the key factors that determine the TYR inhibitory activity of samples. TYRs extracted from B16F10 cells, apple and mushroom, called BTYR, ATYR and MTYR, respectively, were selected to implement this study. Results showed that TYR inhibitory activities of samples were obviously affected by the above two factors. It was necessary to select the appropriate enzyme according to the problems to be explained. It was speculated that indirectly inhibitory activity reflected the comprehensive effects of samples on TYR catalytic activity and intracellular TYR synthesis pathway, while directly inhibitory activity reflected the effects of samples on TYR catalytic activity. Additionally, kojic acid could be used as a positive control for both B16F10 cells and MTYR models. The TYR inhibitory activity of ß-arbutin was complicated and fickle, while that of epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) was universal and stable, which is to say, EGCG always inhibited TYR activity in a dose-dependent manner. In conclusion, the TYR inhibitory activities of samples were affected by enzyme species and sample addition methods. Compared with the unstable ß-arbutin, EGCG was more valuable for clinical research.

RESUMO

Perianal Paget's disease (PPD) is a rare malignant cutaneous tumor. This paper reported a case of PPD complicated by lung adenocarcinoma and anal canal cancer. The patient, a 76-year-old female, had been experiencing recurrent lower abdominal pain and perianal pruritus for the past 5 years. Upon physical examination, a cauliflower-like neoplasm in size of 5 cm×6 cm was observed on the right perianal skin, with local skin ulceration and a small amount of fluid discharge. The left perianal skin was also involved. In thoracoknee position, a hard mass was palpable in the rectal submucosa at 5-6 points 2 cm from the anal verge. Chest CT revealed multiple lesions in both lungs, indication of metastatic tumors. Further evaluation with fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography and computed tomography (FDG-PET/CT) indicated multiple hypermetabolic nodules in the lungs, hypermetabolic lymph nodes throughout the body, early FDG uptake in a small patch of skin on the left hip, and increased FDG uptake in the anorectal region. Histopathological examination confirmed the diagnosis of lung adenocarcinoma. This resulted in the patient being diagnosed with PPD, lung adenocarcinoma, anal canal cancer, and systemic multiple lymph node metastasis. The combination of PPD with gastrointestinal tumors and other metachronous malignant tumors is highly prevalent. Colonoscopy, FDG-PET/CT, histopathology, and immunohistochemistry play crucial roles in early identification of local lymph node and distant involvement, facilitating the evaluation of potential malignant tumors and differential diagnosis. Treating methods for PPD are currently diverse, including postoperative combined or single chemotherapy, radiotherapy, targeted therapy, and photodynamic therapy. As trerapeutical options continue to develop, the extent and efficacy of surgery need to be reassessed.

RESUMO

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder with cognitive impairment that currently is uncurable. Previous study shows that trilobatin (TLB), a naturally occurring food additive, exerts neuroprotective effect in experimental models of AD. In the present study we investigated the molecular mechanisms underlying the beneficial effect of TLB on experimental models of AD in vivo and in vitro. APP/PS1 transgenic mice were administered TLB (4, 8 mg· kg-1 ·d-1, i.g.) for 3 months; rats were subjected to ICV injection of Aß25-35, followed by administration of TLB (2.5, 5, 10 mg· kg-1 ·d-1, i.g.) for 14 days. We showed that TLB administration significantly and dose-dependently ameliorated the cognitive deficits in the two AD animal models, assessed in open field test, novel object recognition test, Y-maze test and Morris water maze test. Furthermore, TLB administration dose-dependently inhibited microglia and astrocyte activation in the hippocampus of APP/PS1 transgenic mice accompanied by decreased expression of high-mobility group box 1 (HMGB1), TLR4 and NF-κB. In Aß25-25-treated BV2 cells, TLB (12.5-50 µM) concentration-dependently increased the cell viability through inhibiting HMGB1/TLR4/NF-κB signaling pathway. HMGB1 overexpression abrogated the beneficial effects of TLB on BV2 cells after Aß25-35 insults. Molecular docking and surface plasmon resonance assay revealed that TLB directly bound to HMGB1 with a KD value of 8.541×10-4 M. Furthermore, we demonstrated that TLB inhibited Aß25-35-induced acetylation of HMGB1 through activating SIRT3/SOD2 signaling pathway, thereby restoring redox homeostasis and suppressing neuroinflammation. These results, for the first time, unravel a new property of TLB: rescuing cognitive impairment of AD via targeting HMGB1 and activating SIRT3/SOD2 signaling pathway.

RESUMO

Time-delayed reservoir computing (RC) is a brain inspired paradigm for processing temporal information, with simplification in the network's architecture using virtual nodes embedded in a temporal delay line. In this work, a novel, to the best of our knowledge, RC system based on a dual-loop optoelectronic oscillator is proposed to enhance the prediction and classification. The hardware is compact and easy to implement, and only a section of fiber compared to the traditional optoelectronic oscillator reservoir is added to conform the dual-loop scheme. Compared with the traditional reservoir, a remarkable performance of the proposed RC system is demonstrated by simulation on three well-known tasks, namely the nonlinear auto regressive moving average (NARMA10) task, signal waveform recognized task, and handwritten numeral recognition. The parameter optimization in the NARMA10 task is presented with influenced factors. The novel RC system finally obtains a normalized mean square error at 0.0493±0.007 in NARMA10 task, 6.172×10-6 in signal waveform recognized task, and a word error rate at 9% in handwritten numeral recognition with suitable parameters.

RESUMO

Cantharidin (CTD) is an effective antitumor agent. However, it exhibits significant hepatotoxicity, the mechanism of which remains unclear. In this study, biochemical and histopathological analyses complemented with ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (UHPLC-MS/MS)-based targeted metabolomic analysis of bile acids (BAs) were employed to investigate CTD-induced hepatotoxicity in rats. Sixteen male and female Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into two groups: control and CTD (1.0 mg/kg) groups. Serum and liver samples were collected after 28 days of intervention. Biochemical, histopathological, and BA metabolomic analyses were performed for all samples. Further, the key biomarkers of CTD-induced hepatotoxicity were identified via multivariate and metabolic pathway analyses. In addition, metabolite-gene-enzyme network and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathway analyses were used to identify the signaling pathways related to CTD-induced hepatotoxicity. The results revealed significantly increased levels of biochemical indices (alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase, and total bile acid). Histopathological analysis revealed that the hepatocytes were damaged. Further, 20 endogenous BAs were quantitated via UHPLC-MS/MS, and multivariate and metabolic pathway analyses of BAs revealed that hyocholic acid, cholic acid, and chenodeoxycholic acid were the key biomarkers of CTD-induced hepatotoxicity. Meanwhile, primary and secondary BA biosynthesis and taurine and hypotaurine metabolism were found to be associated with the mechanism by which CTD induced hepatotoxicity in rats. This study provides useful insights for research on the mechanism of CTD-induced hepatotoxicity.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the relationships between monosodium urate (MSU) crystals -induced neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) and bone erosion in gout. METHODS: Animal models were used to study the relationship between NETs induced by MSU crystals and bone erosion. Neutrophils were treated with MSU crystals to induce NETs. The osteoblasts-like cells (OB) were then treated with NETs, and the supernatant was co-incubated with osteoclasts-like cells (OC). The NETs were digested with DNase, and the neutrophil elastase (NE) was inhibited with sivelestat sodium. Cell viability, mRNA, and protein expression were also assessed. RESULTS: After treating OB with NETs, the cell viability decreased. Yet, after digesting the DNA and inhibiting NE, the viability was moderately improved. The expression level of osteoprotegerin (OPG) and alkaline phosphatase (ALP) was up-regulated, while the expression level of receptor activator of nuclear factor kappa-B ligand (RANKL) was down-regulated in the sivelestat sodium + MSU group compared with MSU group. The number of OC was significantly elevated. In contrast, the number of OB was not increased in the tibia after establishing the gout model. The supernatant obtained from OB was treated with NETs promoting OC differentiation. The expression level of receptor activator of nuclear factor kappa-B (RANK), tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase (TRAP), and cathepsin K (Cst K) was up-regulated in the MSU group compared with the normal control (NC) group. CONCLUSION: NETs induced by MSU crystals could inhibit osteoblasts viability and enhance the activity of osteoclasts.

RESUMO

To prevent the frequent occurrence of transmission line galloping accidents, many scholars have carried out studies. However, there are still many difficulties that have not been solved. To address the issues that have arisen during the installation of the monitoring system, a new installation technique for the galloping monitoring terminal structure has been developed, and structural design and transmission line impact have been taken into account. A method combining Kalman and Mahony complementary filtering has been shown to solve the problem of wire twisting when galloping is taken into account. The displacement is derived by double-integrating the acceleration, although the trend term has a significant impact on the integration result. To handle the trend term issue and other error effects, a method combining the least-squares method, the adaptive smoothing method, and the time-frequency domain hybrid integration approach is used. Finally, the monitoring terminal's structural design is simulated and evaluated, and the measured amplitude is assessed on a galloping standard test bench. The difference between the measured amplitude and the laboratory standard value is less than 10%, meeting the engineering design criteria. And the galloping trajectory is identical to the test bench trajectory, which is critical for user end monitoring.

RESUMO

Accurate ranging and real-time temperature monitoring are essential for metrology and safety in electrical conduit applications. This paper proposes an acoustic time-of-flight (TOF) estimation method based on the digital lock-in filtering (DLF) technique for conduit ranging and thermometry. The method establishes the relationship between the frequency and the time domain by applying a linear frequency modulated Chirp signal as the sound source and using the DLF technique to extract the first harmonic of the characteristic frequencies of the transmitted and received signals. Acoustic TOF estimation in the conduit is then achieved by calculating the mathematical expectation of the time difference between each characteristic frequency in the time-frequency relationship of the two signals. The experimental results with enhanced noise interference on different conduit lengths and various temperature conditions, proved that the proposed DLF method can establish a robust linear time-frequency relationship according to the characteristics of the Chirp signal, and the measurement accuracy of TOF has also been confirmed. Compared to the conventional method, the DLF method provides the lowest absolute error and standard deviation for both distance and temperature measurements with an enhanced robustness.

RESUMO

Spontaneous combustion of coal waste dumps is a serious threat to the ecological environment and the safety of mining areas. Even after land reclamation and ecological restoration, such spontaneous combustion activities are still active. Achieving early warning of spontaneous combustion is necessary to protect the reclaimed ecosystem and reduce environmental pollution, but it has not yet been well studied. To this end, this study proposed a spatial analysis method to achieve early warning spontaneous combustion of coal waste dump after reclamation by integrating unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and vegetation (Medicago sativa/alfalfa) growth status. The experiment was implemented in two slope areas (Areas I and II) of a coal waste dump after reclamation in Shanxi province, China, which were under threat of spontaneous combustion. Three alfalfa growth parameters, aboveground biomass (AGB), plant water content (PWC), and plant height (PH) of the study area, were estimated from UAV imagery features and used to assess the spontaneous combustion risk. Then, soil deep temperature points (25 cm depth) distributed evenly in the study area were collected to determine the underground temperature situation. It was found that the UAV-derived rededge Chlorophyll index (CIrededge), canopy temperature depression (CTD), and canopy height model (CHM) achieved a better estimation of alfalfa AGB (R2 = 0.81, RMSE = 99.2 g/m2, and MAE = 74.9 g/m2), PWC (R2 = 0.68, RMSE = 3.9%, and MAE = 3.2%), and PH (R2 = 0.77, RMSE = 9.79 cm, and MAE = 7.68 cm) of the study area, respectively. We also observed that three alfalfa parameters were highly correlated with the soil deep temperature, but differed in degree (R2 = 0.46-0.81). Furthermore, they were consistent with the soil deep temperature in spatial distribution and could reveal the change direction of underground temperature, which will help us to detect those potential spontaneous combustion areas. These results indicated that vegetation is a prior indicator to the changes in underground temperature of coal waste dump. We believed that UAV can be an effective environmental management tool for the initial assessment of spontaneous combustion risk of coal waste dump after reclamation.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Floral and sweet odors are two typical characteristic aromas of Congou black tea, but their aroma-active compounds are still unclear. Characterizing the key aroma-active compounds can provide a theoretical foundation for the practical aroma quality evaluation of Congou black tea and directional processing technology of high-quality black tea with floral or sweet odors. Gas chromatography-olfactometry (GC-O) combined with odor activity value (OAV) is often used to screen key aroma-active substances, but the interaction between aroma components and their impact on the overall sensory quality is ignored. Therefore, in this study, OAV combined with variable importance in projection (VIP) and Spearman correlation analysis (SCA) were used to characterize the aroma-active components of Congou black teas with floral and sweet odors. RESULTS: Eighty-five volatiles were identified in these samples using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). Twenty-three compounds were identified as potential markers for the floral and sweet odors of Congou black teas from orthogonal partial least squares discriminant analysis (OPLS-DA). Eighteen compounds were selected as candidate aroma compounds based on GC-O analysis and OAV calculations. In addition, 26 compounds were screened as crucial aroma compounds based on SCA. Finally, 19 compounds were evaluated as key aroma compounds by the comprehensive evaluation of VIP, OAV, and SCA. Terpenoids are the main active compounds that contribute to the floral odor of Congou black tea, whereas aldehydes are the key compounds for the sweet odor. CONCLUSION: The proposed method can effectively screen the aroma-active compounds and can be used for comprehensive quality control of products. © 2022 Society of Chemical Industry.

RESUMO

The clinical data for a patient with primary lung adenocarcinoma complicated with pulmonary hamartoma, who admitted to Zunyi Medical University Hospital in September 2020, was retrospectively analyzed. The 62-years-old male visited outpatient service because of dysphagia in March 2015, and the pulmonary nodules were found. In September 2020, the computed tomography indicated the enlarged nodule in the lower lobe of left lung with lobulation, and there was ground glass nodule in the upper lobe of left lung. After thoracoscopic wedge surgery, the primary pulmonary adenocarcinoma in the upper lobe of left lung and pulmonary hamartoma in the lower lobe of left lung were confirmed by pathology. Whole exon sequencing revealed that kinesin family member 20B (KIF20B) gene was not expressed in lung adenocarcinoma, but was expressed in pulmonary hamartoma. The clinical manifestations of lung adenocarcinoma complicated with pulmonary hamartoma was not typical, which could locate in the same side and different sides of the lung. The imaging manifestations of the 2 kinds of tumors were diverse and can not be completely distinguished. The pathological examination after surgery is the gold standard, and the possibility of malignant transformation of pulmonary hamartoma should be warned.
