RESUMEN

El área de tabaquismo de la Sociedad Española de Neumología y Cirugía Torácica (SEPAR) se ha mostrado muyactiva a lo largo del año 2010 en cuanto a la realización de trabajos de investigación. Muchos de ellos hanculminado en la publicación de interesantes artículos. En este artículo se comentan y analizan los principalestrabajos de investigación clínica y básica que han sido llevados a cabo por los diferentes miembros del área detabaquismo de la SEPAR.Se revisan las diferentes disciplinas incluidas en el tema tabaquismo diagnóstico y tratamiento, epidemiología,genética, bibliometría y enfermedades relacionadas con el consumo del tabaco(AU)

The Smoking and Health Section of the Spanish Society of Pneumology and Thoracic Surgery has been highlyactive in research throughout 2010. Many of the research studies performed have led to interestingpublications. The present article analyzes the main clinical and basic research articles published by thedistinct members of the Society’s Smoking and Health Section.The various disciplines included under the heading of smoking are reviewed diagnosis and treatment,epidemiology, genetics, bibliometry and tobacco-related diseases(AU)
