ABSTRACT
Intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) is a common and devastating condition. Its incidence is expected to increase as the population ages, and its epidemiology is changing. Advances in understanding the pathogenesis of ICH have recently been made. A number of recently completed and ongoing trials suggest that new treatments that limit the mortality and morbidity of ICH may be on the horizon.
