ABSTRACT
OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the effects of salidroside on lung injury in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) mice. METHODS: Smoked cigarettes (CS) method was used to establish the COPD model in mice. Investigate the morphological changes. IL-6, IL-1β, TNF-α, SOD and MDA were measured. Western blot was applied to evaluate the related proteins in lung, such as p-IκBα, Nrf-2, HO-1, p-NF-κBp65. RESULTS: H&E staining demonstrated that salidroside inhibited CS-induced pathological injury in lung tissue, decreased cytokines. SOD was increased and MDA was decreased.Salidroside also increased Nrf-2, HO-1 and decreased p-IκBα, p-NF-κBp65. CONCLUSION: Salidroside possesses protective effect on lung injury in COPD mice, the regulation of oxidative stress and inflammation may be the mechanism.
