Integrative and Complementary Practices (PICs) is a set of therapeutic actions that are not present in biomedicine and have been gaining a prominent role in health services, as they reduce disease symptoms, prevent diseases, and with the advantage of being a non-drug practice., promoting humanized, safe, effective, universal care and support for conventional medicine. Acupuncture is a set of procedures that stimulates places through the insertion of metallic filiform needles for promotion, maintenance, health recovery and disease prevention. Most experiences with PICs occur in Primary Health Care and only 4% in High Complexity, where it is important to expand access and offer to these practices in hospitals so that quality of life help occurs, in order to harmonize different ways to live on the levels physical, mental, social, cultural, environmental and spiritual
