O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar as alterações do perímetro do arco superior quantitativamente e linearmente em duas fases pré e pós-disjunção maxilar em crianças respiradoras orais por meio de tomografia computadorizada. A amostra consistiu de 10 crianças com exames tomográficos na faixa etária de 8 a 14 anos, de ambos os gêneros, respiradores orais tratados com disjunção maxilar. Os pacientes selecionados serão submetidos à tomografia computadorizada em dois momentos antes da disjunção maxilar (T1) e 3 meses após o período de contenção da disjunção maxilar (T2). ABSTRACT

The aim of this study was to perform a quantitative and linear evaluation of the alterations on maxillary arch perimeter of mouth breathing children using computerized tomography in two phases pre and post orthopedic maxillary disjunction. Sample was composed by 10 chil-dren aged 8-14 years old, from both genders, mouth breathers, with CT images and treated with maxillary disjunction.
