By description and prospective approach on 66 subjects diagnosed as AFB(+) tuberculosis, the variation of TCD4, TCD8 cells in blood of 40 patients with senile tuberculosis was determined. Authors concluded that: the average of TCD4, TCD8 cell counts decreased and this decrease was higher dramatically than other age groups of tuberculosis patients (P<0.05). The average counts of TCD4, TCD7 decreased in all various forms of tuberculosis, TCD4 cell average counts decreased obviously in patients with large lesions in X-ray images and in patients with Mantoux(-) reaction (p<0.05). There was no difference according to the severity of the lesion on X-ray image and Mantoux reaction results.
