RESUMO

Arachis lutescens Krapov. & Rigoni 1958 is an important species due to their potentially extensive applications for cultivated peanut breeding. The whole chloroplast genome of A. lutescens was successfully assembled and annotated for the first time. The complete chloroplast genome of A. lutescens is a typically circular structure of 156,398 bp with a GC content of 36.3%. It comprises a large single-copy (LSC) region of 85,950 bp, a small single-copy (SSC) region of 18,800 bp, and two inverted repeat regions (IRs) of 25,824 bp, each. The plastome of A. lutescens contains a total of 125 genes, including 81 protein-coding genes, 36 tRNAs, and eight rRNAs. The phylogenetic analysis strongly supports the close relationship between A. lutescens and cultivated peanut clades. This study contributes to our understanding of the molecular characteristics and evolutionary relationships of this plant species.

RESUMO

Existing stress evaluation methods based on the Lamb waves mainly use the time of flight (TOF) or velocity as the means of stress measurement. However, these two features used for stress measurement are sometimes insensitive to stress changes. Therefore, it is essential to explore other features that are potentially more sensitive to stress changes. The time-frequency spectrums of signals containing stress information have not yet been fully studied for stress evaluation. This paper proposes a uniaxial stress measurement method based on two time-frequency characteristics of Lamb waves, i.e., the slope of time-frequency spectrum distribution (TFSD) and pulse width impact factor. Theoretical expressions of the slope of TFSD are derived. The impacts of excitation signal parameters (i.e., bandwidth and center frequency) and noise on two time-frequency characteristics were discussed. Then, the fitting results of the finite element simulation are consistent with the results predicted by theory. To experimentally validate the proposed theory, aluminum plate specimens with two different types of adhesives were used for the experiment. According to the experimental stress measurement expression, three uniaxial tensile tests in the range of 35-95 MPa were conducted on the identical batch of specimens. The maximum standard deviation of multiple measured stress based on pulse width impact factor is 3.76433 MPa, demonstrating excellent measurement stability. The maximum standard deviation of multiple measured stress based on the slope of TFSD is 9.12492 MPa. It shows that the proposed methodology is a promising alternative for stress measurement.

BACKGROUND: Aspergillus niger is generally considered safe and is widely used across a broad range of industries from food to pharmaceuticals. The metabolites of some Aspergillus species are effective in killing nematodes. The active ingredients that play a role are citric acid and oxalic acid. RESULTS: The effective nematocidal metabolite in the fermentation broth of the A. niger Ym16 is a calcium oxalate coordination compound (C2 H2 O4 •2(C2 HO4 )•C2 O4 •4(H2 O)•2(Ca)). The mortality of fermentation broth and compound solution to second-stage juveniles (J2s) of Meloidogyne incognita were 94% (8 h) and 95% (2 h), respectively. The hatching inhibition rates of fermentation broth and compound solution to eggs of M. incognita were 86% (24 h) and 87% (12 h), respectively. Furthermore, the Ym16 strain promoted plant growth. CONCLUSION: Strain Ym16 and its metabolites should be the first choice for nematode control because it is an effective agent against soil nematodes. © 2023 Society of Chemical Industry.
