RESUMO

Miltochrista Hübner, [1819] is one of the most species-rich genera of lichen-moths belonging to the Asura/Miltochrista complex and is distributed widely in the Oriental and Palaearctic Regions. A checklist of Miltochrista (sensu lato) was recently published by Volynkin et al. (2019) and included 206 species and 10 subspecies. Four additional species have since been described by Volynkin et al. (2020). But still, the taxonomy of this large and diverse genus is poorly studied and many new species are awaiting descriptions.

RESUMO

A new species, B. kirata Volynkin & N. Singh, sp. nov., similar to B. germana, is described from India and Nepal. The existence of two colour forms in some species of the genus Barsine Walker, 1854 is revealed. A new synonymy is established for Barsine germana (Rothschild, 1913), which includes two forms that were described as three different species: Barsine germana (Rothschild, 1913) (the yellow form) = B. valvalis Kaleka, 2003, syn. nov., and B. thomasi Kaleka, 2003, syn. nov. (the red-spotted forms).

RESUMO

The Asura/Miltochrista generic complex belongs to Lithosiini (Erebidae, Arctiinae). It is one of the most diverse and taxonomically unresolved groups of this tribe. At present, this generic complex includes about 25 valid genera, as well as several generic/specific taxa of unclear taxonomic status (Holloway 2001, Kirti Singh 2016, Volynkin 2017, Volynkin Ivanova 2017, Volynkin et al. 2017, Volynkin Cerný 2016).

RESUMO

In the present paper, we review the genus Dolgoma from India, establish three species-groups and describe a new species, D. xanthoma N. Singh, Kirti, Datta Volynkin, sp. nov. and a new subspecies, D. rectoides arunachala N. Singh Joshi, ssp. nov. A new genus, Teuloma Volynkin N. Singh, gen. nov. is established for Lithosia oblitterans Felder like species. Eight species are included here under Teuloma gen. nov., with five species known from India. Three of them are new for science and described below: T. microoblitterans N. Singh, Kirti Datta, sp. nov., T. neooblitterans N. Singh, Joshi Kirti, sp. nov. and T. falsinebulosa N. Singh, Kirti, Datta Volynkin, sp. nov. Eight new combinations are established: Dolgoma steineri (Holloway, 2001), comb. nov., D. locus Bucsek, 2012, comb. nov., Teuloma oblitterans (Felder, 1868), comb. nov., T. montanebula (Holloway, 2001), comb. nov., T. nebulosa (Walker, 1862), comb. nov., T. divisa (Walker, 1862), comb. nov., T. setiniformis (Hampson, 1900), comb. nov. and Wittia lucida (Fang, 2000), comb. nov. In addition, checklists of presently known species of Dolgoma and Teuloma gen. nov. are provided.
