RESUMO

As well-known machine learning methods, decision trees are widely applied in classification and recognition areas. In this paper, with the uncertainty of labels handled by belief functions, a new decision tree method based on belief entropy is proposed and then extended to random forest. With the Gaussian mixture model, this tree method is able to deal with continuous attribute values directly, without pretreatment of discretization. Specifically, the tree method adopts belief entropy, a kind of uncertainty measurement based on the basic belief assignment, as a new attribute selection tool. To improve the classification performance, we constructed a random forest based on the basic trees and discuss different prediction combination strategies. Some numerical experiments on UCI machine learning data set were conducted, which indicate the good classification accuracy of the proposed method in different situations, especially on data with huge uncertainty.

RESUMO

Pyrazole cores are common structural motifs existing in various agrochemicals and pharmaceuticals. Herein, a transition metal-free, three-component reaction of arylaldehydes, ethyl acrylate and N-tosylhydrazones is described, which leads to the formation of 1,3,5-trisubstituted and 1,3-disubstituted pyrazoles divergently under slightly different conditions.

RESUMO

Tricyclic ring systems possessing a dibenzo structure joined to a seven-membered heterocyclic ring frequently show important biological activities. However, a modular approach to these molecules based on efficient intermolecular reaction of readily available chemicals is lacking. Herein, an unprecedented palladium-catalyzed formal [4+3] annulation for modular construction of these tricyclic systems is described. This reaction features easily accessible reactants (o-haloarylaldehydes and N-tosylhydrazones), broad substrate scope, and excellent functional group compatibility. The synthetic potential is demonstrated by the easy scale-up reactions, late-stage modification of complex molecules, and collective synthesis of bioactive molecules and approved drugs.

RESUMO

Scandium oxide (Sc2O3) is considered as omnipotent "Industrial Ajinomoto" and holds promise in catalytic applications. However, rarely little attention is paid to its electrochemistry. Here, the first nanocasting design of high-surface area Sc2O3 with abundant oxygen vacancies (mesoporous VO-Sc2O3) for efficient electrochemical biomass valorization is reported. In the case of the electro-oxidation of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) to 2,5-furandicarboxylic acid (FDCA), quantitative HMF conversion, high yield, and high faradic efficiency of FDCA via the hydroxymethylfurancarboxylic acid pathway are achieved by this advanced electrocatalyst. The beneficial effect of the VO on the electrocatalytic performance of the mesoporous VO-Sc2O3 is revealed by the enhanced adsorption of reactants and the reduced energy barrier in the electrochemical process. The concerted design, in situ and ex situ experimental studies and theoretical calculations shown in this work should shed light on the rational elaboration of advanced electrocatalysts, and contribute to the establishment of a circular carbon economy since the bio-plastic monomer and green hydrogen are efficiently synthesized.

RESUMO

For a long time, one of the important safety problems in open-pit mines is the stability of a large number of high slopes with gently inclined soft interlayer. Rock masses formed after long geological processes generally have some initial damage. Mining works also cause varying degrees of disturbance and damage to rock masses in the mining area during the mining process. This phenomenon means that accurate characterization of the time-dependent creep damage for rock masses under shear load is necessary. The damage variable D is defined based on the spatial and temporal evolution laws of shear modulus and initial level of damage for the rock mass. In addition, a coupling damage equation between the initial damage of the rock mass and shear creep damage is established based on Lemaitre's strain equivalence assumption. Kachanov's damage theory is also incorporated to describe the entire process of time-dependent creep damage evolution for rock masses. A creep damage constitutive model that can reasonably reflect the actual mechanical properties of rock masses under multi-stage shear creep loading conditions is established. This takes into account multi-stage shear creep loading conditions, instantaneous creep damage during the shear load phase, staged creep damage and factors influencing the initial damage of rock masses. The reasonableness, reliability and applicability of this model are verified by comparing the results of the multi-stage shear creep test with calculated values from the proposed model. As opposed to the traditional creep damage model, the shear creep model established in this present study takes into account the initial damage of rock masses and can describe the multi-stage shear creep damage characteristics of rock masses more convincingly.

RESUMO

In this paper, a new 0.15-2 GHz broadband phase shifter with 9-bit phase resolution is presented. This broadband digital adjustable phase shifter is implemented by utilizing the signal vector summation technology. The phase shifter consists of one 90° hybrid coupler, two digital attenuators, two 180° hybrid couplers, two microwave switches, and one combiner. By adjusting the attenuation value of the two digital attenuators, the device creates a minimum 0.7° stepped phase shift. In addition, by switching the two microwave switches, a 360° range of phase shift is achieved while almost keeping the amplitude of the phase shifter constant. The measurement results show that the proposed phase shifter achieves a phase resolution of 0.7° while exhibiting an average insertion loss of 9 ± 2 dB and phase unbalance within ±10°. The calculated RMS phase error of the broadband phase shifter is below 5° from 0.15 to 2 GHz.

RESUMO

Stochastic cooling of the high-precision spectrometer ring (SRing) at the High Intensity Heavy-Ion Accelerator Facility (HIAF) project in China, which is used mainly for experiments with radioactive fragment beams, is applied to speed up the cooling process of a stored ion beam. In this article, a new coaxial-type notch filter with an amplitude equalizer in the long branch and an optical-type notch filter with phase-stabilized optical fiber are discussed and evaluated for the SRing stochastic cooling system. Both prototypes of coaxial and optical notch filters are fabricated and tested. The minimum notch depth of coaxial and optical notch filters reaches to 26 and 40 dB, respectively. The performance of both coaxial notch filter and optical fiber notch filter is presented in this work. These developments will be used not only for the longitudinal stochastic cooling system but also have potential for the beam feedback system.

RESUMO

INTRODUCTION: Quitting smoking, the critical path to reach the global targets of reducing tobacco use, can bring major and immediate health benefits to smokers. Exploring factors that help individuals to quit smoking is of great importance. The present study explored influencing factors on smoking cessation, in order to provide comprehensive reference for tobacco control policies. METHODS: Ex-smokers and current smokers were recruited online in this cross-sectional survey, from 1 October to 31 November 2022, in China. The observational data were collected using a questionnaire to collect information with respect to sociodemographic characteristics of smokers, attitudes towards smoking cessation, details of smoking cessation, and different potential factors related to smoking cessation through open-ended questions. RESULTS: A total of 638 smokers from 30 provinces were recruited as eligible respondents, with a mean age of 37.3 ± 11.7 years and a mean smoking history of 15.9 ± 13.7 years. The percentage of males was 92.3%. Of the 638 respondents, only 3.9% had no intention to stop smoking. Among 155 subjects who had quitted smoking successfully, willpower (55.5%) was considered as the most important contributing factor. Among 365 subjects who tried to quit but failed, lack of willpower (28.2%), tobacco dependence (16.2%), influence of surrounding smokers or smoking environments (15.9%), bad moods (9.9%), stress from work or life (7.9%), habits (7.1%), socialization (4.1%), and easy availability of tobacco (2.7%) were considered as the adverse factors leading to failure in quitting smoking. CONCLUSIONS: Willpower and support from family members were the vital factors that lead to successful smoking cessation. Future tobacco control policies should also focus on addressing withdrawal symptoms and creating smoke-free environments as well as other factors.

RESUMO

We describe a Xantphos-containing dinuclear palladium complex-enabled geminal aminoallylation of diazocarbonyl compounds, which selectively provides a range of quaternary α-amino esters. Direct N-H insertion, allylic alkylation of amino nucleophiles, and diene formation were not observed under standard conditions. Mechanistic studies indicated that a relayed pathway via allylation of the N-H insertion product or [2,3]-sigmatropic rearrangement of an ylide intermediate was unlikely.

RESUMO

Under field conditions, the moisture content of rock changes with the weather during prolonged creep. In order to investigate the effect of moisture content change on long-term shear strength and deformation behavior, a shear apparatus for intact rock was developed. Since three prefabricated holes are drilled in the upper part of the rock sample, the water injection device and the gas injection device can be used to inject water and gas into the rock sample alternately during the test to adjust the moisture content without removing the normal load and shear load. By using silicone gasket and seals in the shear box, fluid injection at a pressure of 5 MPa was achieved without leakage. Shear creep tests of argillaceous shale were conducted under both constant and dynamic moisture conditions, and the results were described by the Nishihara model. The experimental results revealed that there are significant differences in the long-term shear strength and deformation of argillaceous shale under different moisture content conditions. The proposed rock shear apparatus can advance the quantitative study of the shear creep properties of rock samples during moisture content changes and has certain practical application value for the prediction of engineering rock mass stability during rainfall.

RESUMO

Due to some harsh indoor environments, the signal of the ultra wide band (UWB) may be lost, which makes the data fusion filter can not work. For overcoming this problem, the neural network (NN) assisted Kalman filter (KF) for fusing the UWB and the inertial navigation system (INS) data seamlessly is present in this work. In this approach, when the UWB data is available, both the UWB and the INS are able to provide the position information of the quadrotor, and thus, the KF is used to provide the localization information by the fusion of position difference between the INS and the UWB, meanwhile, the KF can provide the estimation of the INS position error, which is able to assist the NN to build the mapping between the state vector and the measurement vector off-line. The NN can estimate the KF's measurement when the UWB data is unavailable. For confirming the effectiveness of the proposed method, one real test has been done. The test's results demonstrate that the proposed NN assisted KF is effective to the fusion of INS and UWB data seamlessly, which shows obvious improvement of localization accuracy. Compared with the LS-SVM assisted KF, the proposed NN assisted KF is able to reduce the localization error by about 54.34%.
