RESUMO

[Co(bapbpy)Cl]+ (bapbpy: 6,6'-bis(2-aminopyridyl)-2,2'-bipyridine) is a polypyridyl cobalt(II) complex bearing both a redox-active bipyridine ligand and pendant proton relays. This compound catalyzes electro-assisted H2 evolution in DMF with distinct mechanisms depending on the strength of the acid used as the proton source (pKa values ranging from 3.4 to 13.5 in DMF) and the applied potential. Electrochemical studies combining cyclic voltammetry and bulk electrolysis measurements enabled one to bring out four distinct catalytic processes. Where applicable, relevant kinetic information were obtained using either foot-of-the-wave analysis (FOWA) or analytical treatment of bulk electrolysis experiments. Among the different catalytic pathways identified in this study, a clear relationship between the catalyst performances and stability was evidenced. These results draw attention to a number of interesting considerations and may help in the development of future adequately designed catalysts.

RESUMO

To compare the effect of integration processing technology of origin (IPTO) and traditional cutting processing technology (TCPT) of Moslae Herba for lung-Yang deficiency rats caused by complex factors, analyze the mechanism, and provide the modern pharmacology basis for the implementation of IPTO of Moslae Herba. The rat models of lung-Yang deficiency were established by smoking + swimming in ice water + drinking ice water. The model rats were randomly divided into different groups, and were treated with intragastric administration for 30 d. Then the general signs, anal temperature and autonomic activity of the rats were observed. The pathological morphology of lung tissues was observed, and the positive expression of tumor necrosis factor (TNF-α) was observed by immunohistochemical method, and the hematological indexes were determined. Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) method was used to detect serum nitric oxide (NO), immunoglobulin G (IGG), malondialdehyde (MDA), thromboxane B2 (TXB2) and interleukin-8 (IL-8) level, and the organ coefficients of heart, liver, spleen, lung, kidney and other organs were calculated. According to the results, Moslae Herba volatile oil and decoction could improve the general signs and autonomic activities of lung-Yang deficiency rats, improve the body weight, rectal temperature, and the content of IGG in serum of lung-Yang deficiency rats, reduce organ coefficients of heart, liver, spleen, lung and kidney, serum NO, MDA, TXB2, IL-8 contents, white blood cell and TNF-α mean optical density in the lung tissues of rats. witg statistically significant difference (P<0.01 or P<0.05). The effects of IPTO volatile oil and water decoction were slightly higher. Therefore, Moslae Herba has therapeutic effect on lung-Yang deficiency rats, and ICPT has better effect, whose mechanism may be related to the intervention of TNF-α expression, improving the level of IGG, and inhibiting NO, MDA, IL-8, and TXB2 levels.

RESUMO

The present study investigated the effects of temperature on growth performance, slaughtering traits, meat quality and antioxidant function of Pekin ducks from 21-42 d of age. Single factor analysis of variance was used in this experiment, 144 21 d-old Pekin ducks were randomly allotted to 4 environmentally controlled chambers: T20 (20°C), T23 (23°C), T26 (26°C) and T29 (29°C), with 3 replicates in each group (12 ducks in each replicate), the relative humidity of all groups is 74%. During the 21-day trial period, feed and water were freely available. At 42 d, the BW (body weight) and ADG (average daily gain) of T26 were significantly lower than T20 (p < 0.05), and the T29 was significantly lower than T20 and T23 (p < 0.05). The ADFI (average daily feed intake) of T26 and T29 were significantly lower than T20 and T23 (p < 0.05). Compared to the T29, the T20 showed a significant increase oblique body length and chest width, and both the keel length and thigh muscle weight significantly increased in both the T20 and T23, while the pectoral muscle weight increased significantly in other groups (p < 0.05). The cooking loss of the T29 was the lowest (p < 0.05). The T-AOC (total antioxidant capacity) of T29 was significantly higher than the other groups (p < 0.05), the SOD (superoxide dismutase) in the T29 was significantly higher than the T23 and T26 (p < 0.05). In conditions of 74% relative humidity, the BW and ADFI of Pekin ducks significantly decrease when the environmental temperature exceeds 26°C, and the development of body size and muscle weight follows this pattern. The growth development and serum redox state of Pekin ducks are more ideal and stable at temperatures of 20°C and 23°C.

RESUMO

This study aimed to investigate the effects of different humidity levels on the growth performance, slaughter performance, and meat quality of Pekin ducks through the artificial control of humidity, and to identify the suitable environmental humidity for Pekin duck growth. A completely randomized single-factor design was employed, selecting 144 newly hatched male Pekin ducks with healthy and similar BW (body weight) (60.92 g ± 4.38). These ducks were randomly assigned to four groups (A (RH (relative humidity) = 60%), B (RH = 67%), C (RH = 74%), D (RH = 81%)), with 12 ducks and 3 replicates in each group. The ducks were raised in a climate-controlled room for 42 days with ad libitum access to feed and water. BW and feed intake were measured every 3 days, and slaughter performance and meat quality were assessed at 42 days. There was no significant difference in the ADG (average daily gain) from 1 to 21 days (p > 0.05). The ADFI (average daily feed intake) of Group D was significantly lower than that of Groups A, B, and C (p < 0.05), with no significant differences between Groups A, B, and C (p > 0.05). At 42 days, the BW, ADG, and ADFI of Groups A and C were significantly higher than those of Group D (p < 0.05), with no significant differences among Groups A, B, and C (p > 0.05). Group C had a significantly higher breast muscle weight, breast muscle ratio, liver weight, and liver index than Groups B and D (p < 0.05), with no significant differences between Groups A, B, and D (p > 0.05). The meat shear force in Group C was significantly lower than that in Groups A, B, and D (p < 0.05). The L* (brightness) of Group C was significantly lower than that of Group A (p < 0.05), and the a* (redness) value of Group C was significantly higher than that of Groups A and B (p < 0.05), with no significant difference compared to Group D (p > 0.05). Group B had a significantly higher cooking loss than Groups A, C, and D (p < 0.05), with no significant differences among Groups A, C, and D (p > 0.05). Under 26 °C conditions, Pekin ducks perform best in terms of the production performance and feed efficiency, with high-quality meat, especially when reared at 74% humidity.

RESUMO

The covalent assembly between a cobalt diimine-dioxime complex and a fullerenic moiety results in enhanced catalytic properties in terms of overpotential requirement for H2 evolution. The interaction between the fullerene moiety and PCBM heterojunction further allows for the easy integration of the cobalt diimine-dioxime - fullerene catalyst with a poly-3-hexylthiophene (P3HT):[6,6]-phenyl-C61-butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM) bulk heterojunction, yielding hybrid photoelectrodes for H2 evolution from near-neutral aqueous solutions.

RESUMO

In recent years, visual tracking algorithms based on Siamese networks have attracted attention for their desirable balance between speed and accuracy. The performance of such tracking methods relies heavily on target templates. Static templates cannot cope with the adverse effects of target appearance change. The dynamic template method, with a template update mechanism, can adapt to the change in target appearance well, but it also causes new problems, which may lead the template to be polluted by noise. Based on the DaSiamRPN and UpdateNet template update networks, a Siamese tracker with "dynamic-static" dual-template fusion and dynamic template adaptive update is proposed in this paper. The new method combines a static template and a dynamic template that is updated in real time for object tracking. An adaptive update strategy was adopted when updating the dynamic template, which can not only help adjust to the changes in the object appearance, but also suppress the adverse effects of noise interference and contamination of the template. The experimental results showed that the robustness and EAO of the proposed method were 23% and 9.0% higher than those of the basic algorithm on the VOT2016 dataset, respectively, and that the precision and success were increased by 0.8 and 0.4% on the OTB100 dataset, respectively. The most comprehensive real-time tracking performance was obtained for the above two large public datasets.

RESUMO

The 21st century presents many challenges to mankind, including climate change, fast growing human population, and serious concerns over food security. Wheat is a leading cereal crop that largely fulfills the global food needs. Low temperature stress accompanied by nutrient-starved soils is badly disrupting the source-sink relationship of wheat, thus causing an acute decline in final yield and deteriorating the grain quality. This review paper aimed to understand how low temperature stress affects wheat source-sink organs (i.e., leaves, roots, and spikes) and how phosphorus application reliefs in alleviating its harmful consequences. Also, we discussed mitigation strategies to enhance wheat capacity to adapt to varying temperature extremes and made rational recommendations based on modern agronomic and breeding approaches. Therefore, this study is likely to establish a solid foundation for improving the tolerance to low temperature stress and to improve its phosphorus utilization efficiency in wheat.

RESUMO

The preparation of low-cost and high-activity oxygen evolution reaction (OER) catalysts is a technical bottleneck in the field of electrolysis of water to produce hydrogen. Amorphous metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) with low-cost transition metals have attracted increasing attention in the catalytic field, yet metal atoms that are the main active sites are still ambiguous. Here, we synthesized a series of amorphous ternary Fex(NiCu)3-x-MOFs via an ultrasonic method. The optimal amorphous FeNiCu-MOF is found to be able to supply a current density of 10 mA cm-2 merely at a low overpotential of 260 mV with a small Tafel slope of 61 mV dec-1 and exhibits high durability over 24 h. Moreover, density functional theory (DFT) calculations show that the Fe atoms are the main active sites for the OER in the FeNiCu-MOF. This work shows that amorphous ternary MOFs have great potential for application in OER electrocatalysts due to the multiple synergistic effects and amorphous MOF structures.

RESUMO

Common visual features used in target tracking, including colour and grayscale, are prone to failure in a confusingly similar-looking background. As the technology of three-dimensional visual information acquisition has gradually gained ground in recent years, the conditions for the wide use of depth information in target tracking has been made available. This study focuses on discussing the possible ways to introduce depth information into the generative target tracking methods based on a kernel density estimation as well as the performance of different methods of introduction, thereby providing a reference for the use of depth information in actual target tracking systems. First, an analysis of the mean-shift technical framework, a typical algorithm used for generative target tracking, is described, and four methods of introducing the depth information are proposed, i.e., the thresholding of the data source, thresholding of the density distribution of the dataset applied, weighting of the data source, and weighting of the density distribution of the dataset. Details of an experimental study conducted to evaluate the validity, characteristics, and advantages of each method are then described. The experimental results showed that the four methods can improve the validity of the basic method to a certain extent and meet the requirements of real-time target tracking in a confusingly similar background. The method of weighting the density distribution of the dataset, into which depth information is introduced, is the prime choice in engineering practise because it delivers an excellent comprehensive performance and the highest level of accuracy, whereas methods such as the thresholding of both the data sources and the density distribution of the dataset are less time-consuming. The performance in comparison with that of a state-of-the-art tracker further verifies the practicality of the proposed approach. Finally, the research results also provide a reference for improvements in other target tracking methods in which depth information can be introduced.

RESUMO

The cobalt tetraazamacrocyclic [Co(N4H)Cl2]+ complex is becoming a popular and versatile catalyst for the electrocatalytic evolution of hydrogen, because of its stability and superior activity in aqueous conditions. We present here a benchmarking of its performances based on the thorough analysis of cyclic voltammograms recorded under various catalytic regimes in non-aqueous conditions allowing control of the proton concentration. This allowed a detailed mechanism to be proposed with quantitative determination of the rate-constants for the various protonation steps, as well as identification of the amine function of the tetraazamacrocyclic ligand to act as a proton relay during H2 evolution.

RESUMO

We report on the first systematic study of cobaloxime-based hydrogen photoproduction in mixed pH 7 aqueous/acetonitrile solutions and demonstrate that H2 evolution can be tuned through electronic modifications of the axial cobalt ligand or through introduction of TiO2 nanoparticles. The photocatalytic systems consist of various cobaloxime catalysts [Co(dmgH)2(L)Cl] (L = nitrogen-based axial ligands) and a water soluble porphyrin photosensitizer. They were assayed in the presence of triethanolamine as a sacrificial electron donor. Optimal turnover numbers related to the photosensitizer are obtained with electron-rich axial ligands such as imidazole derivatives (1131 TONs with N-methyl imidazole). Lower stabilities are observed with various pyridine axial ligands (443 TONs for para-methylpyridine), especially for those containing electron-acceptor substituents. Interestingly, when L is para-carboxylatopyridine the activity of the system is increased from 40 to 223 TONs in the presence of TiO2 nanoparticles.
