OBJECTIVE: A self-rating post stroke depression scale (PSDS) showed a good reliability and validity to assess severity of depressive symptoms among stroke patients. This study aimed to retest the psychometric properties of PSDS in different types of post-stroke depression (PSD). MATERIALS AND METHODS: A total of 170 stroke patients were recruited in the study. 82 and 25 patients were respectively diagnosed as PSD symptoms disorder (PSDSD) and PSD disorder (PSDD) patients according to their respective diagnostic criteria. The PSDS and the 9-item Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9) were used to assess the severity of depression. Cronbach α, Spearman rank coefficient and independent sample t-test were conducted to examine reliability, internal consistency and discriminate validity. Then the receiver operating characteristic curve and Youden index were used to performance evaluation and cut-off value respectively in different subtypes of PSD patients. RESULTS: The Cronbach α of PSDS was 0.857, indicting a good reliability. The Spearman correlation coefficient between PSDS and PHQ-9 was 0.942 (P<0.001). The discriminate validity displayed significant difference between PSDSD as well as PSDD and no depression patients (all P<0.001). 5/24 and 10/24 were the cut-off value for PSDSD and PSDD patients. CONCLUSIONS: PSDS is a useful screen tool with an acceptable psychometric properties for estimation of different subtypes of PSD patients.

Since a novel coronavirus was discovered from a cluster of patients with emerging pneumonia of unknown etiology in Wuhan, China, it has spread rapidly through droplet and contact transmission. Recently, the novel coronavirus pneumonia which was named COVID-19 by the World Health Organization (WHO) has been raised as a worldwide problem. Radiological examinations were confirmed as effective methods for the screening and diagnosis of COVID-19. It is reported that some radiologists and radiological technologists were infected when giving examinations to the patients with COVID-19. In order to reduce the infection risk of medical staff in radiology department, we summarized the experience on prevention and control measures in radiology department for COVID-19, aiming to guide the prevention and practical work for radiologists and radiological technologists. KEY POINTS: • The novel coronavirus spreads rapidly through droplet and contact transmission. • Radiologists and radiological technologists were possibly infected by patients. • Prevention and control measures in radiology department for COVID-19 are important.

BACKGROUND: Intrapancreatic accessory spleens (IPASs) are usually misdiagnosed as pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (PNETs). Texture analysis is valuable in tumor detection, diagnosis, and staging. PURPOSE: To identify the potential of texture features in differentiating IPASs from small hypervascular PNETs. MATERIAL AND METHODS: Twenty-one patients with PNETs and 13 individuals with IPASs who underwent pretreatment dynamic contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CT) were retrospectively analyzed. The routine imaging features-such as location, size, margin, cystic or solid appearance, enhancement degree and pattern, and lymph node enlargement-were recorded. Texture features, such as entropy, skewness, kurtosis, and uniformity, on contrast-enhanced images were analyzed. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analysis was performed to differentiate IPASs from PNETs. RESULTS: No significant differences were observed in margin, enhancement degree (arterial and portal phase), lymph node enlargement, or size between PNETs and IPASs (all P > 0.05). However, IPASs usually showed heterogeneous enhancement at the arterial phase and the same degree of enhancement as the spleen at the portal phase, both of which were greater than those of PNETs (69% vs. 35%, P = 0.06; 100% vs. 29%, P = 0.04). Entropy and uniformity were significantly different between IPASs and PNETs at moderate (1.5) and high sigma values (2.5) (both P < 0.01). ROC analysis showed that uniformity at moderate and high sigma had the highest area under the curve (0.82 and 0.89) with better sensitivity (85.0-95.0%) and acceptable specificity (75.0-83.3%) for differentiating IPASs from PNETs. CONCLUSIONS: Texture parameters have potential in differentiating IPASs from PNETs.

Depressive symptoms are common in individuals with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) who have an increased risk of dementia. It is currently unclear whether the pattern of spontaneous brain activity in patients with MCI differs between subjects with and without depressive symptoms. The current study sought to investigate the features of spontaneous brain activity in MCI patients with depressive symptoms (D-MCI) using coherence regional homogeneity (CReHo) analysis with resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (rsfMRI). We obtained rsfMRI data in 16 MCI patients with depressive symptoms and 18 nondepressed MCI patients (nD-MCI) using a 3 T scanner. Statistical analyses were performed to determine the regions in which ReHo differed between the two groups in specific frequency bands, slow-4 (0.027-0.073 Hz) and slow-5 (0.010-0.027 Hz), and typical bands (0.01-0.08 Hz). Correlation analyses were performed between the CReHo index of these regions and clinical variables to evaluate the relationship between CReHo and pathophysiological measures in the two groups. Our results showed that D-MCI patients exhibited significantly higher CReHo in the left Heschl's gyrus and left thalamus and lower CReHo in the left postcentral gyrus in the typical frequency band. In the slow-4 frequency band, D-MCI patients showed significantly higher CReHo in the left Heschl's gyrus and left thalamus. In the slow-5 frequency band, D-MCI patients exhibited significantly lower CReHo in the superior medial prefrontal gyrus. In addition, the results revealed that CReHo values in the left thalamus were positively correlated with Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAMD) scores in D-MCI patients. These results suggest that the sensorimotor network may be one of the main pathophysiological factors in D-MCI.

Follow-up observation is required for mild-to-moderate hydrocephalic patients because of the potential damage to brain. However, effects of mild-to-moderate hydrocephalus on gray and white matter remain unclear in vivo. Using structural MRI and diffusion tensor imaging (DTI), current study compared the cortical thickness and white matter integrity between children with mild-to-moderate communicating hydrocephalus and healthy controls. The relationships between cortical changes and intelligence quota were also examined in patients. We found that cortical thickness in the left middle temporal and left rostral middle frontal gyrus was significantly lower in the hydrocephalus group compared with that of controls. Fractional anisotropy in the right corpus callosum body was significantly lower in the hydrocephalus group compared with that of controls. In addition, there was no association of cortical thinning or white matter fractional anisotropy with intelligence quota in either group. Thus, our findings provide clues to that mild-to-moderate hydrocephalus could lead to structural brain deficits especially in the middle temporal and middle frontal gyrus prior to the behavior changes.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the value of three-dimentional pseudo-continuous arterial spin labeling (ASL) perfusion imaging in differentiating acute cerebral infarction from acute encephalitis. METHODS: From September 2013 to September 2014, 42 patients with actue stroke onset and 20 healthy volunteers underwent conventional brain MRI DWI and 3D-ASL Perfusion Imaging in our hospital. Only 20 patients whose lesions located in the middle cerebral artery (MCA) territory were enrolled in this study. Of these cases, 12 cases were diagnosed with acute cerebral infarction, 8 were diagnosed with encephalitis. First, we analyzed the imaging features of the 20 patients and 20 volunteers. Then, CBF values of the lesions in the 20 patients and the gray matter of MCA territory in the 20 volunteers were measured on 3D-pcASL images. Third, the difference of mean CBF values between patients and volunteers were analyzed. RESULTS: Out of 20 study group, 19 patients whose lesions presented high signal intensity on DWI images, 12 cases were acute cerebral infarction and 8 were encephalitis. All the lesions of 20 cases showed abnormal perfusion on 3D-pcASL images. 3D-pcASL has good consistency with DWI in diagnostic capabilities (χ² = 0.565, P = 0.01). On 3D-pcASL, 11 acute cerebral infarction patients presented perfusion defects or low perfusion, 1 acute cerebral infarction patients showed high perfusion, 8 encephalitis patients showed inhomogeneous perfusion. The mean value of CBF was (17 ± 6) ml · min⁻¹ · 100 g⁻¹ in 12 acute cerebral infarction patients, (136 ± 69) ml · min⁻¹ · 100 g⁻¹ in 8 encephalitis patients and (68 ± 12) ml · min⁻¹ · 100 g⁻¹ three in 20 healthy volunteers. The difference in mean value of CBF among the three groups was statistically significant (P < 0.01). CONCLUSION: Acute cerebral infarction often shows low perfusion and acute encephalitis shows high perfusion on 3D-pcASL images, which has a higher application value in diagnosis and differentiation of acute cerebral infarction and encephalitis.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the clinical application of multi-slice computed tomography angiography (MSCTA) low-dose scan in pulmonary veins and left atrium and to reduce the radiation dose. METHOD: 100 middle-sized patients underwent pulmonary veins and left atrium MSCTA were collected and randomly divided into five groups averaged. The tube current were 250 mAs (conventional dose), 200, 150, 100, and 80 mAs (low dose), respectively. The CT scan length (L), volume CT dose index (CTDIvol) and dose length product (DLP) of five groups were recorded automatically, and the effective dose(ED) was measured. The signal to noise ratio (SNR) and the contrast to noise (CNR) of thoracic aorta at the middle level of left atrium were measured to evaluate the image quality objectively. The image quality of pulmonary veins and left atrium MSCTA was evaluated by two experienced radiologists using double-blind method. The results were analyzed by statistics. RESULT: (1) The CTDIvol(mGy), DLP(mGy*cm) and ED decreased evidently with the scan dose reduced, and the difference had statistical significance. (2) The image quality was mainly excellent and good in 100 mAs and the above, and it was mainly good in 80 mAs group. The image quality decreased with mAs reduced. The difference of SNR and CNR within five groups had statistical significance. The satisfaction degree of subjective evaluation on image quality of the five groups was up to 100%. CONCLUSION: On the premise that the image quality confirmed to the clinical diagnosis, the low dose scan in pulmonary veins and left atrium SCTA can obviously reduce radiation dose, and it had important clinical significance.

Background: Depression, one of the most frequent complications after stroke, increases the disease's burden and physical disability. Poststroke depression (PSD) is a multifactorial disease with genetic, environmental and biological factors involved in its occurrence. Genetic studies on PSD to date have mainly focused on the monoamine system and brain-derived neurotrophic factors. However, understanding is still limited about the influence of the single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) of other neurotrophic factors on PSD. Aims: The present study aimed to investigate the relationship between seven vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) family gene variants that occur with PSD. Methods: A multicentre candidate gene study from five hospitals in Jiangsu Province from June 2013 to December 2014 involved 121 patients with PSD and 131 patients with non-PSD. Demographic characteristics and neuropsychological assessments were collected. The χ2 test was used to evaluate categorical variables, while the independent t-test was applied to continuous variables. SNPs in seven genes (VEGFA, VEGFB, KDR, FLT-1, IGF-1, IGF-1R and PlGF) were genotyped. Single-marker association for PSD was analysed by χ2 tests and logistic regression using SPSS and PLINK software. Results: Patients with PSD included more women and those with lower education levels, lower body mass indexes, lower Mini-Mental State Examination scores, and higher scores on the 17-item Hamilton Depression Rating Scale than non-PSD patients. Ninety-two SNPs with seven genes were genotyped and passed quality control. The rs7692791 CC genotypes, the C allele of KDR and the rs9282715 T allele of IGF-1R increased the risk for PSD (χ2=7.881, p=0.019; χ2=4.259, p=0.039; χ2=4.222, p=0.040, respectively). In addition, the SNP rs7692791 of KDR was significantly associated with PSD by the logistic regression of an additive model (p=0.015, OR=9.584, 95% CI: 1.549 to 59.31). Conclusions: Patients with rs7692791 C allele carriers or the CC genotype of KDR and the rs9282715 T allele of IGF-1R may have PSD susceptibility. Findings such as these may help clinicians to identify the high-risk population for PSD earlier and, thus, enable them to provide more timely interventions. An unseen wave of vast infection was detected in China in December 2022, and healthcare workers faced inevitable challenges and heavy stress. We aimed to present a dynamic mental health map and, most importantly, provide a timely report of the current situation in healthcare workers. The current study conducted four national cross-sectional online surveys from February and March 2020, Apr 2022, and Jan 2023. The Psychosomatic Symptom Scale (PSSS) and Perceived Stress Scale-10 (PSS-10) were used to assess psychosomatic symptoms and perceived stress. Fourteen thousand nine hundred forty-five participants (8578 healthcare workers and 6367 others) participated in the surveys. The prevalence of psychosomatic syndrome, reflected by PSSS, was 19.3% (Wave1), 22.9% (Wave2), 36.4% (Wave3), and 60.7% (Wave4) among healthcare workers, compared to 24.0% (Wave1), 35.7% (Wave2), 34.2% (Wave3) and 50.5% (Wave4) among the others. In addition, healthcare workers exhibited lower PSSS total scores at the beginning but higher in later waves. Despite their infection status, they now suffer from more severe psychosomatic symptoms than the rest of society. Our findings suggest that healthcare workers in China have now experienced severe psychosomatic symptoms and tremendous stress. Therefore, there is an urgent need to utilize social support for them.

BACKGROUND: Two years have passed since the 2019 novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) was first reported. The persistent pandemic might lead to severe psychosomatic problems and fatigue. In addition, the recent rapid rising COVID-19 cases in China have become a trending issue. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the dynamic changes in psychosomatic problems at the initial and current stages of the pandemic. METHODS: Three waves of cross-sectional online survey were conducted during the initial COVID outbreak in China. The psychosomatic symptom scale (PSSS), perceived stress scale (PSS), and pandemic fatigue scale (PFS) were used to assess the psychosomatic problems, stress, and fatigue. RESULTS: 4317, 1096, and 2172 participants completed the first, second, and third surveys. The prevalence of psychosomatic disorder was 22 %, 28 %, and 39 %, respectively. The network structure of PSSS symptoms has not significantly changed as the pandemic progresses. However, the global strength of the PSSS networks, indicating the overall connectivity, in the third wave was significantly higher than in the first wave (s = 0.54, P = 0.007). The most central symptoms in the first and third wave networks were depressed mood and tiredness. The PFS score was higher in the people concerned with indirect impact than those concerned with health (P < 0.001). PFS has positive relationships with PSSS and PSS score (R = 0.41, P < 0.001 and R = 0.35, P < 0.001, respectively). CONCLUSIONS: The persistence of the pandemic caused critical psychosomatic issues, stress, and indirect burden over time, leading to inevitable fatigue. People endured needing immediate attention to prevent or reduce psychosomatic disorders.

OBJECTIVES: To verify the Brief Psychosomatic Symptom Scale (BPSS) among patients with psychosomatic-related disorders in general hospitals and determine the threshold of BPSS. METHODS: The BPSS is a shortened 10-item version of the psychosomatic symptoms scale (PSSS). Data from 483 patients and 388 healthy controls were included for psychometric analyses. Internal consistency, construct validity, and factorial validity were verified. The threshold of BPSS in distinguishing psychosomatic patients from healthy controls were determined using receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis. The ROC curve of the BPSS was compared with that of the PSSS and patient health questionnaire-15 (PHQ-15) by using Venkatraman's method with 2000 times Monte-Carlo simulations. RESULTS: The reliability of the BPSS was good with Cronbach's α of 0.831. BPSS was significantly correlated with PSSS (r = 0.886, P < 0.001), PHQ-15 (r = 0.752, P < 0.001), PHQ-9 (r = 0.757, P < 0.001) and GAD-7 (r = 0.715, P < 0.001), which indicated good construct validity. ROC analyses demonstrated that the AUC of the BPSS was comparable with that of PSSS. The gender-specific threshold of BPSS was determined as ≥8 in males and ≥ 9 in females. CONCLUSIONS: The BPSS is a brief and validated instrument for screening common psychosomatic symptoms.

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the diagnostic value of multi-slice CT (MSCT) reconstructions for congenital vascular rings together with tracheal stenosis. METHODS: 9 cases of children with congenital vascular ring and tracheal stenosis confirmed by surgery were collected in the study, all cases had undergone thin slice CT contrast enhancement, the MSCT data were transmitted to the workstation for multiplanar reconstruction (MPR), volume rendering technique (VRT) and VR transparency reconstruction. With the surgical results as the gold standard, the imaging characteristics of echocardiography (UCG) and MSCT were comparatively analyzed. RESULTS: In 9 cases, there were 4 cases of pulmonary artery sling, 3 cases of right aortic arch combination with left aberrant subclavian artery, 1 case of double aortic arch, 1 case of innominate artery compression syndrome. In this group, 5 cases were accompanied with other cardiac malformations (tetralogy of Fallot in 2 cases, double outlet right ventricle with patent ductus arteriosus and ventricular septal defect in 1 case, ventricular septal defect in 1 case, double superior vena cava in 1 case), 1 case of tetralogy of Fallot demonstrated many tortuous collateral arteries around aorta. All malformations were well displayed by VRT, MPR. VR transparency reconstruction can stereoscopically display trachea and bronchial compression condition, the main trachea was compressed in 6 cases, the main trachea and left main bronchus was compressed in 2 cases, the main trachea and left main bronchus was compressed in 1 cases, UCG detected all intracardiac malformations, 1 case of pulmonary artery sling was misdiagnosed as patent ductus arteriosus, 8 cases of vascular rings, tracheal and bronchial stenosis were missed. CONCLUSION: MSCT reconstruction technology is a noninvasive, rapid diagnostic method, it can clearly show the congenital vascular rings abnormalities and the degree of tracheal stenosis, it has important significance for clinic treatment.

Convergent evidence indicates that individuals with symptoms of depression exhibit altered functional connectivity (FC) of the amygdala, which is a key brain region in processing emotions. At present, the characteristics of amygdala functional circuits in patients with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) with and without depression are not clear. The current study examined the features of amygdala FC in patients with MCI with depression symptoms (D-MCI) using resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging. We acquired resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging data from 16 patients with D-MCI, 18 patients with MCI with no depression (nD-MCI), and 20 healthy controls (HCs) using a 3T scanner and compared the strength of amygdala FC between the three groups. Patients with D-MCI exhibited significant FC differences in the amygdala-medial prefrontal cortex and amygdala-sensorimotor networks. These results suggest that the dysfunction of the amygdala-medial prefrontal cortex network and the amygdala-sensorimotor network might be involved in the neural mechanism underlying depression in MCI.

OBJECTIVES: To develop and verify the Psychosomatic Symptom Scale (PSSS) among psychosomatic patients and the cut-off value of PSSS in distinguishing psychosomatic patients from health controls. METHODS: The PSSS was drafted by an expert workgroup. 996 patients and 366 controls from 14 general hospitals in China were recruited to complete PSSS, Patient Health Questionnaire-15 (PHQ-15) and Symptom Checklist-90 (SCL-90). Student's t-test, Kruskal-Wallis test, Cronbach's α, Spearman's correlation, and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) were used to verify the PSSS. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analyses were used to determine the cut-off value. RESULTS: Cronbach α of PSSS was 0.907. The PSSS was significantly correlated with SCL-90 somatization subscale (r = 0.682, P < 0.001) and PHQ-15 (r = 0.724, P < 0.001). CFA supported the theoretical two-factor structure of the PSSS, with comparative fit index (CFI) = 0.979, Tucker-Lewis index (TLI) = 0.977, root mean square error of approximation (RMSEA) = 0.039 (90% CI: 0.035-0.042), and standardized root mean residual (SRMR) = 0.054. As the sum score of PSSS was significantly higher in female, cut-off values were determined as 11 in females and 10 in males respectively. CONCLUSIONS: The PSSS is a reliable and valid instrument for measuring psychosomatic symptoms.

RESUMO

Post-stroke depression (PSD) is a very common complication that leads to increased physical disability, poor functional outcome, and higher mortality. Therefore, early detection and treatment are very important. Since there are currently no specific guidelines for this disorder in China, the purpose of this study was to develop PSD guidelines and provide suggestions for clinicians and related workers.

BACKGROUND: The effects of BDNF on post stroke depression (PSD) may be influenced by genetic variations in intracellular signal transduction pathways, such as the p11/tPA/BDNF pathway. In this study, we aimed to determine the association of polymorphisms in candidate genes of the gene transduction pathway with PSD, as well as the effects of the interactions between genes in our Chinese sample. METHODS: Two-hundred-fifty-four Chinese samples with acute ischaemic stroke included 122 PSD patients and 132 nonPSD patients. Sixty-five single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in six genes (p11, tPA, PAI-1, BDNF, TrkB and p75NTR) of the p11/tPA/BDNF pathway with minor allele frequencies > 5% were successfully genotyped from an initial series of 76 SNPs. The severity of depressive symptoms was assessed by the 17-item Hamilton Depression Rating scale score. Environmental factors were measured with the life events scale and social support rating scale for all patients. SNP and haplotype associations were analysed using gPLINK software. Gene-gene interactions were evaluated with generalized multifactor dimensionality reduction software. RESULTS: The results showed that TrkB polymorphisms (rs11140793AC genotype, rs7047042CG genotype, rs1221CT genotype, rs2277193TC genotype and rs2277192AG genotype) were significantly associated with PSD. Three haplotypes (AT, GG, and AAT) of TrkB were significantly associated with PSD. Seven haplotypes (GC, AG, ACG, CGC, GCT, ACGC and ACAT) of BDNF were significantly correlated with PSD. We identified significant gene-gene interactions between the p11 (rs11204922 SNP), tPA (rs8178895, rs2020918 SNPs) and BDNF (rs6265, rs2049046, rs16917271, rs727155 SNPs) genes in the PSD group. We also identified significant gene-gene interactions between the BDNF (rs2049046, rs7931247 SNPs) and TrkB (rs7816 SNP) genes with increased occurrence of PSD and sig gene-gene interactions between the BDNF gene (rs6265, rs56164415, rs2049046, rs4923468, rs2883187, rs16917271, rs1491850, rs727155, rs2049048 SNPs) and p75NTR gene (rs2072446, rs11466155) in the PSD group. CONCLUSION: These findings provides evidence that the TrkB gene, BDNF and TrkB haplotypes, and gene-gene interactions between p11, tPA and BDNF are all associated with PSD, which suggests that genetic variations in the p11/tPA/BDNF pathway may play a central role in regulating the underlying mechanism of PSD.

Previous studies have indicated that the level of glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF) may be correlated with stroke and depression. Here, we investigated whether GDNF can be a discriminant indicator for post stroke depression (PSD). 159 participants were divided into four groups: PSD, stroke without depression (Non-PSD), major depressive disorder (MDD) and normal control (NC) group, and the protein and mRNA expression levels of GDNF in serum were measured. The results showed that only MDD group had statistical difference in protein and mRNA levels compared with the other three groups (Bonferroni test, P < 0.05). The results of receiver operating curve (ROC) analysis supported GDNF as general distinguishing models in PSD and MDD groups with the area under the curve (AUC) at 0.797 (P < 0.001) and 0.831 (P < 0.001) respectively. In addition, the Spearman analysis demonstrated that the GDNF protein level negatively correlated with the value of Hamilton depression rating scale (HAMD) in PSD patients (correlation coefficient = -0.328, P = 0.047). Together, these findings suggest the protein and mRNA expression levels of GDNF decreased in patients with depression. GDNF may serve as a potential biomarker for differential diagnosis of PSD from MDD patients.

Focal adhesion kinase (FAK) is considered as an attractive target for oncology. A series of F-18 labeled 5-bromo-N2-(4-(2-fluoro-pegylated (FPEG))-3,5-dimethoxyphenyl)-N4-(4-methoxyphenyl)pyrimidine-2,4-diamine derivatives were prepared and evaluated as the FAK targeted radiotracers for the early diagnoses of tumor. For the study of the FAK targeted drug molecules, this was the first attempt to develop the tumor diagnostic imaging agents on the radiopharmaceutical level. They inhibited the activity of FAK with IC50 in the range of 91.4-425.7 nM, and among which the result of the [19F]2 was relatively good and had a modest IC50 of 91.4 nM. The [19F]2 was also profiled in vitro against some other kinds of cancer-related kinases (including two kinds of non-receptor tyrosine kinase: PYK2 and JAK2, and three kinds of receptor tyrosine kinase: IGF-1R, EGFR and PDGFRß). It displayed 25.2 folds selectivity against PYK2, 35.1 folds selectivity against EGFR, and more than 100 folds selectivity against IGF-1R, JAK2 and PDGFRß. For the biodistribution in S180 bearing mice, the corresponding [18F]2 were also relatively good, with modest tumor uptake of 5.47 ± 0.19 and 5.80 ± 0.06 %ID/g at 15 and 30 min post-injection, respectively. Furthermore, its tumor/muscle, tumor/bone and tumor/blood ratio at 15 min post-injection were 3.16, 2.53 and 4.52, respectively. And its tumor/muscle, tumor/bone and tumor/blood ratio at 30 min post-injection were 3.14, 2.76 and 4.43, respectively. In addition, coronal micro-PET/CT images of a mouse bearing S180 tumor clearly confirmed that [18F]2 could be accumulated in tumor, especially at 30 min post-injection. Besides, for the [18F]2, both the biodistribution data and the micro-PET/CT imaging study showed significantly reduced uptake of the radiotracer in the tumor tissue at 30 min post-injection in mice that received PF-562,271 (one of the reported best selective FAK inhibitor which was developed by Pfitzer Inc. and inhibited the activity of FAK with IC50 value of 1.5 nM) at 1 h before the injection of radiotracer. In combination with the above kinase profiling assay, it could be indicated that the uptake of [18F]2 in tumor of the mouse model was due to FAK expression, and that [18F]2 might be a kind of selectively FAK targeted tumor imaging agents. What's more, the results of the MD (molecular dynamics) simulations were in agreement with the changing trends of the interaction between the different F-19 standards and the FAK (expressed as the in vitro inhibitory abilities of enzymatic activities of FAK in this article), which was also in agreement with and had great effect on the changing trends of the uptake of the corresponding F-18 labeled tracers in tumor and some of theirs target/non-target ratios.

AIM: Poststroke depression (PSD) is the most common complication of stroke. However, some stroke survivors with depression cannot meet the diagnostic criteria of PSD. The aim of this study was to propose the new conception of stroke patients with depression and then make them to receive reasonable diagnosis and treatment. METHODS: We first put forward the opinion that the general PSD should consist of PSD disorder (PSDD) and PSD symptoms (PSDS) according to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorder - Fifth Edition (DSM-5) and ZhongDa diagnostic criteria - first edition (ZD-1), respectively. The ZD-1 was established based on the suggestions of 65 Chinese chief doctors considering that the symptoms of PSDS might be different from those of PSDD and the duration of DSM-5 was too strict. Then, 166 stroke inpatients were recruited, and the study was conducted using the diagnosis and classification of PSD to verify the new concept. RESULTS: A total of 24 (14.46%) and 80 (48.19%) stroke patients were diagnosed with PSDD and PSDS, respectively, according to individual diagnosis criteria. Moreover, patients meeting the diagnostic criteria of PSDD should satisfy the criteria of PSDS first. The distribution frequencies of depressive symptoms were different, which suggested that there might be discrepant depressive symptoms between PSDS and PSDD. CONCLUSION: The present study proposes new opinion about the classification and diagnosis of depression in stroke survivors. The definition and criteria of PSDS are beneficial to explore phenomenological consistency and provide useful information for early recognition and appropriate interventions.
