RESUMO

Volatile esters in apple (Malus domestica) fruit are the critical aroma components determining apple flavor quality. While the exact molecular regulatory mechanism remains unknown, jasmonic acid (JA) plays a crucial role in stimulating the synthesis of ester aromas in apples. In our study, we investigated the effects of methyl jasmonate (MeJA) on the production of ester aroma in apples. MeJA treatment significantly increased ester aroma synthesis, accompanied by the upregulation of several genes involved in the jasmonate pathway transduction. Specifically, expression of the gene MdMYC2, which encodes a transcription factor associated with the jasmonate pathway, and the R2R3-MYB transcription factor gene MdMYB85 increased upon MeJA treatment. Furthermore, the essential gene ALCOHOL ACYLTRANSFERASE 1 (MdAAT1), encoding an enzyme responsible for ester aroma synthesis, showed increased expression levels as well. Our investigation revealed that MdMYC2 and MdMYB85 directly interacted with the promoter region of MdAAT1, thereby enhancing its transcriptional activity. In addition, MdMYC2 and MdMYB85 directly bind their promoters and activate transcription. Notably, the interaction between MdMYC2 and MdMYB85 proteins further amplified the regulatory effect of MdMYB85 on MdMYC2 and MdAAT1, as well as that of MdMYC2 on MdMYB85 and MdAAT1. Collectively, our findings elucidate the role of the gene module consisting of MdMYC2, MdMYB85, and MdAAT1 in mediating the effects of JA and promoting ester aroma synthesis in apples.

INTRODUCTION: The active constituents in Aurantii Fructus sourced from different regions within Hunan Province exhibit variations, with certain samples demonstrating substandard quality. OBJECTIVES: The aim of this study is to conduct a comparative analysis of the chemical composition and quality of Aurantii Fructus from various sources, establish a robust methodology for quality evaluation, and determine the optimal harvesting period. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The components of Aurantii Fructus were qualitatively analyzed using a non-targeted metabolomics approach. Multivariate statistical analyses were conducted to identify potential markers, enabling qualitative and quantitative evaluation of the quality and optimal harvest period of Aurantii Fructus. RESULTS: Overall, 155 compounds were identified in Aurantii Fructus, with Huangpi exhibiting the highest number of components. Eleven potential markers were selected to assess the quality of Aurantii Fructus. The average content of Huangpi was the highest, indicating a high level of similarity. The samples' overall scores were ordered as follows: Huangpi > Xiangcheng > Choucheng > Daidai. Anren and Changde's Huangpi exhibited high contents, being rich in chemical components, resulting in favorable scores. Similarly, Changde's Xiangcheng displayed significant medicinal value. As the harvest time was delayed, there was an increase in fruit size, accompanied by thinner peels and a continuous decrease in the contents of potential markers. The best harvest period of Aurantii Fructus was within 1 week before and after the Lesser Heat. CONCLUSION: The present study establishes a precise and efficient method for evaluating the quality of Aurantii Fructus, thereby providing more comprehensive insights into its composition. This research lays the foundation for subsequent development and utilization of Aurantii Fructus.

This study aims to explore the molecular regulatory mechanism of the differential accumulation of flavonoids between 'Xianglei' and the wild type of Lonicera macranthoides. The flowers, stems, and leaves of the two varieties of L. macranthoides were collected. Ultra-performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry(UPLC-MS) and high-throughput sequencing(RNA-seq) were employed to screen out the differential flavonoids, key differentially expressed genes(DEGs) and transcription factors(TFs). Fourteen DEGs were randomly selected for verification by qRT-PCR. The results showed that a total of 17 differential flavonoids were obtained, including naringin chalcone, apigenin, and quercetin. The transcriptomic analysis predicted 19 DEGs associated with flavonoids, including 2 genes encoding chitin synthase(CHS) and 3 genes encoding chalcone isomerase(CHI). The regulatory network analysis and weighted gene co-expression network analysis(WGCNA) screen out the key enzyme genes CHS1, FLS1, and HCT regulating the accumulation of flavonoids. MYB12 and LBD4 may be involved in the biosynthesis of flavonoids by regulating the expression of key enzyme genes CHS1, FLS1, and HCT. The qRT-PCR and RNA-seq results were similar regarding the expression patterns of the 14 randomly selected DEGs. This study preliminarily analyzed the transcriptional regulatory mechanism for the differential accumulation of flavonoids in the two varieties of L. macranthoides and laid a foundation for further elucidating the regulatory effects of key enzyme genes and TFs on the accumulation of flavonoids.

The mechanical properties (compressibility or deformability) of cells are closely related to their death, migration, and differentiation. Accurate separation and manipulation of bioparticles based on these mechanical properties are still a challenging in the field of acoustofluidics. In this work, based on surface acoustic waves (SAW) and divergent microchannels, we developed a new method for separating and detecting particles or cells with different compressibility. The difference in acoustic radiation force (Fr) caused by compressibility are gradually amplified and accumulated by decreasing the flow velocity, and they are finally reflected in the particle migration distance. During the transverse migration process, the alternating dominance of the acoustic radiation force and the Stokes resistance force (Fs) drives the particles to create three typical migration patterns: intermittent migration, compound migration, and near-wall migration. In the present tilted SAW device, a 91% separation success rate of ∼10 µm polystyrene (PS) and polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) particles can be achieved by optimizing the acoustic field input power and the fluid velocity. The application potential of the present divergent microchannel is validated by separating the myelogenous leukemia cell K562 and the natural killer cell NK92 that have similar densities and sizes (∼15 µm) but different compressibility. The results of this work are expected to provide valuable insights into the acoustofluidics separation and detection of the cells that are with different compressibility.

As a porous and network materials consisting of metals and organic ligands, metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have become one of excellent crystalline porous materials and play an important role in the era about materials science. Plasma, as a useful tool for stimulating efficient reactions under many conditions, and the plasma-assisted technology gets more attractions and endows MOFs more properties. Based on its feature, the research about the modifications and functionalities of MOFs have been developing a certain extent. This review contains a description of the methods for plasma-assisted modification and synthesis of MOFs, with specifically focusing on the plasma-assisted potential for modifications and functionalities of MOFs. The different applications of plasma-assisted MOFs were also presented.

As a new type of catalyst with the potential for commercial application in NOx removal from diesel engine exhausts, Cu-SSZ-39 catalysts must have excellent resistance to complex and harsh conditions. In this paper, the effects of phosphorus on Cu-SSZ-39 catalysts before and after hydrothermal aging treatment were investigated. Compared with fresh Cu-SSZ-39 catalysts, phosphorus poisoning significantly decreased the low-temperature NH3-SCR catalytic activity. However, such activity loss was alleviated by further hydrothermal aging treatment. To reveal the reason for this interesting result, a variety of characterization techniques including NMR, H2-TPR, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, NH3-TPD, and in situ DRIFTS measurements were employed. It was found that Cu-P species produced by phosphorus poisoning decreased the redox ability of active copper species, resulting in the observed low-temperature deactivation. After hydrothermal aging treatment, however, Cu-P species partly decomposed with the formation of active CuOx species and a release of active copper species. As a result, the low-temperature NH3-SCR catalytic activity of Cu-SSZ-39 catalysts was recovered.

Pd/Al2O3 catalysts supported on Al2O3 of different particle sizes were synthesized and applied in methane combustion. These catalysts were systematically characterized by Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET), X-ray diffraction (XRD), high resolution-transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM), high-angle annular dark field-scanning transmission electron microscopy (HAADF-STEM), H2-temperature-programmed reduction (H2-TPR), O2-temperature-programmed oxidation (O2-TPO), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and X-ray absorption fine structure (XAFS). The characterization results indicated that nano-sized Al2O3 enabled the uniform dispersion of palladium nanoparticles, thus contributing to the excellent catalytic performance of these nano-sized Pd/Al2O3 catalysts. Among them, Pd/Al2O3-nano-10 (Pd/Al2O3 supported by alumina with an average particle size of 10 nm) showed superior catalytic activity and stability for methane oxidation under harsh practical conditions. It maintained excellent catalytic performance for methane oxidation for 50 hr and remained stable even after harsh hydrothermal aging in 10 vol.% steam at 800°C for 16 hr. Characterization results revealed that the strong metal-support interactions and physical barriers provided by Al2O3-nano-10 suppressed the coalescence ripening of palladium species, and thus contributed to the superior sintering resistance of the Pd/Al2O3-nano-10 catalyst.

The present study explored the consistency of the content proportions of active components of Aurantii Fructus and analyzed the influencing factors based on three-dimensional multi-component analysis. A total of 839 Aurantii Fructus samples in 65 research articles were analyzed using the three-dimensional multi-component analysis mode. The content data of flavonoid components(naringin, hesperidin, neohesperidin, narirutin, and nobiletin), coumarin components(meranzin and gluconolactone), and alkaloid(synephrine) in 386 samples which met the criteria of 2020 edition of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia were extracted and adjusted to percentages, and the content ratios between components were calculated. The influencing factors of Aurantii Fructus quality were analyzed. The results showed content ratios of components as follows: neohesperidin∶naringin in the range of 0.4-1.2; narirutin∶naringin in the range of 0.02-0.16; hesperidin∶naringin in the range of 0.01-0.3; nobiletin∶naringin in the range of 0.000 588 3-0.069 68; synephrine∶naringin in the range of 0.02-0.042; gluconolactone∶naringin in the range of 0.001-0.01; meranzin∶naringin in the range of 0.000 4-0.035. The quality of Aurantii Fructus was closely related to the origin, variety, harvesting time, and processing method of medicinal materials. Harvesting time had a greater impact on the quality of Aurantii Fructus, and the origin and variety had a certain impact on the quality of Aurantii Fructus. The findings of this study indicated that the ratios between flavonoid components, flavonoids and coumarin components, and flavonoids and alkaloids fluctuated. The production base should optimize the varieties, harvesting period, and processing methods of Aurantii Fructus to provide a scientific basis for the production of high-quality Aurantii Fructus.

As a large family of transcription factors, the MYB family plays a vital role in regulating flower development. We studied the MYB family members in Lonicera macranthoides for the first time and identified three sequences of 1R-MYB, 47 sequences of R2R3-MYB, two sequences of 3R-MYB, and one sequence of 4R-MYB from the transcriptome data. Further, their physicochemical properties, conserved domains, phylogenetic relationship, protein structure, functional information, and expression were analyzed. The results show that the 53 MYB transcription factors had different conserved motifs, physicochemical properties, structures, and functions in wild type and 'Xianglei' cultivar of L. macranthoides, indicating their conservation and diversity in evolution. The transcript level of LmMYB was significantly different between the wild type and 'Xianglei' cultivar as well as between flowers and leaves, and some genes were specifically expressed. Forty-three out of 53 LmMYB sequences were expressed in both flowers and leaves, and 9 of the LmMYB members showed significantly different transcript levels between the wild type and 'Xianglei' cultivar, which were up-regulated in the wild type. The results provide a theoretical basis for further studying the specific functional mechanism of the MYB family.

Magnetic molecules on surfaces have been widely investigated to reveal delicate interfacial couplings and for potential technological applications. In these endeavors, one prevailing challenge is how to preserve or recover the molecular spins, especially on highly metallic substrates that can readily quench the magnetic moments of the admolecules. Here, we use scanning tunneling microscopy and spectroscopy to exploit the semimetallic nature of antimony and observe, surprisingly yet pleasantly, that the spin of Co-phthalocyanine is well preserved on Sb(111), as unambiguously evidenced by the emergent strong Kondo resonance across the molecule. Our first-principles calculations further confirm that the optimal density of states near the Fermi level of the semimetal is a decisive factor, weakening the overall interfacial coupling, while still ensuring sufficiently effective electron-spin scattering in the many-body system. Beyond isolated admolecules, we discover that each of the magnetic moments in a molecular dimer or a densely packed island is distinctly preserved as well, rendering such molecular magnets immense potentials for ultrahigh density memory devices.

A comparative study was performed to investigate the NH3-selective catalytic reduction (SCR) reaction activity of Cu-SSZ-13 zeolites having Si/Al ratios (SARs) of 5, 18, and 30. Remarkably, the Cu-SSZ-13 zeolite catalysts exhibited completely opposite behaviors as a function of SAR under standard SCR (SSCR) and fast SCR (FSCR) reaction atmospheres. Under SSCR conditions, the NOx conversion increased as expected with the decreasing SAR. Under FSCR conditions, however, the NOx conversion decreased as the SAR decreased, contrary to expectations. In this study, based on characterization of the catalysts by X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, electron paramagnetic resonance, H2-temperature-programmed reduction, temperature-programmed desorption, and diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy, together with theoretical calculations, the authors found that the amount of Brønsted acid sites goes up while the SAR goes down, leading to an increase in the accumulation of NH4NO3 under FSCR reaction conditions. Moreover, the accumulated NH4NO3 is of greater stability for those low SAR Cu-SSZ-13 catalysts. These two reasons cause the FSCR performance of Cu-SSZ-13 to decrease with a decrease in SAR. As a result, the NO2 effect on SCR activity changes from promotion to inhibition as the SAR decreases.

Coloring in apple fruit due to anthocyanin accumulation is inhibited by high temperature; however, the underlying mechanism remains unclear. In the present study, total anthocyanin and cyanidin 3-galactoside contents were determined and compared between cv. 'Redchief Delicious' apple fruits at 25 °C and 35 °C treatments. The high temperature (35 °C) treatment substantially decreased total anthocyanin and cyanidin 3-galactoside contents. The transcriptomes of 25 °C- and 35 °C-treated apples were analyzed by high-throughput RNA sequencing. A total of 8354 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were detected at four time points corresponding to the two temperature treatments. The up-regulated DEGs were annotated using GO as well as KEGG databases. A network module of 528 genes (including 21 transcription factors) most associated with the total anthocyanin and cyanidin 3-galactoside contents was constructed by weighted correlation network analysis (WGCNA). In the WGCNA module, we unearthed a LOB domain-containing gene designated as MdLBD37. The expression of MdLBD37 was sharply up-regulated by high temperature and negatively correlated with the total anthocyanin and cyanidin 3-galactoside contents. Overexpression of MdLBD37 in apple fruit and calli decreased the expression of anthocyanin biosynthetic genes, such as MdCHI, MdCHS, MdF3H, MdANS, MdDFR, and MdUFGT, along with anthocyanin accumulation. Our results suggested that MdLBD37 significantly influenced the high-temperature inhibition of anthocyanin accumulation in apples. The findings shed more light on the mechanism of anthocyanin inhibition during high-temperature stress in apples.

RESUMO

Chemotherapy-induced intestinal mucositis, a painful debilitating condition affecting up to 40-100% of patients undergoing chemotherapy, can reduce the patients' quality of life, add health care costs and even postpone cancer treatment. In recent years, the relationships between intestinal microbiota dysbiosis and mucositis have drawn much attention in mucositis research. Chemotherapy can shape intestinal microbiota, which, in turn, can aggravate the mucositis through toll-like receptor (TLR) signaling pathways, leading to an increased expression of inflammatory mediators and elevated epithelial cell apoptosis but decreased epithelial cell differentiation and mucosal regeneration. This review summarizes relevant studies related to the relationships of mucositis with chemotherapy regimens, microbiota, TLRs, inflammatory mediators, and intestinal homeostasis, aiming to explore how gut microbiota affects the pathogenesis of mucositis and provides potential new strategies for mucositis alleviation and treatment and development of new therapies.

BACKGROUND: Trimethylamine-N-Oxide (TMAO) is a proatherogenic and prothrombotic metabolite. Our study examined the association of plasma TMAO level with cardiovascular and all-cause mortality in hemodialysis (HD) patients. METHODS: Patients who were at least 18 years-old and received HD for at least 6 months were enrolled within 6 months. Patients with coronary heart disease, congestive heart failure, arrhythmia, or stroke within 3 months before study onset were excluded. The primary endpoints were cardiovascular and all-cause death, and the secondary endpoint was cerebrovascular death. RESULTS: We recruited 252 patients and divided them into a high-TMAO group (>4.73 µg/mL) and a low-TMAO group (≤4.73 µg/mL). The median follow-up time was 73.4 months (interquartile range: 42.9, 108). A total of 123 patients died, 39 from cardiovascular disease, 19 from cerebrovascular disease, and 65 from other causes. Kaplan-Meier analysis indicated that the high-TMAO group had a greater incidence of cardiovascular death (Log-Rank: p = 0.006) and all-cause death (Log-Rank: p < 0.001). Cox regression analysis showed that high TMAO level was significantly associated with cardiovascular and all-cause mortality. After adjustment for confounding, this association remained significant for cardiovascular mortality (TMAO as a continuous variable: HR: 1.18, 95%CI: 1.07, 1.294, p < 0.001; TMAO as a dichotomous variable: HR: 3.44, 95%CI: 1.68, 7.08, p < 0.001) and all-cause mortality (TMAO as a continuous variable: HR: 1.14, 95%CI: 1.08, 1.21, p < 0.001; TMAO as a dichotomous variable: HR: 2.54, 95%CI: 1.71, 3.76, p < 0.001). CONCLUSIONS: High plasma TMAO level is significantly and independently associated with cardiovascular and all-cause mortality in HD patients.

BACKGROUND: Fruit peel colour is an important agronomic trait for fruit quality. Cytosine methylation plays an important role in gene regulation. Although the DNA methylation level of a single gene is important to affect the phenotype of mutation, there are large unknown of difference of the DNA methylation in plant and its mutants. RESULTS: Using bisulfite sequencing (BS-Seq) and RNA-sequencing (RNA-Seq), we analysed three deep-red-skinned apple (Malus × domestica) mutants (Yanfu 3, YF3; Yanfu 8, YF8; Shannonghong, SNH) and their lighter-skinned parents (Nagafu 2, NF2; Yanfu 3, YF3; Ralls, RL) to explore the different changes in methylation patterns associated with anthocyanin concentrations. We identified 13,405, 13,384, and 10,925 differentially methylated regions (DMRs) and 1987, 956, and 1180 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) in the NF2/YF3, YF3/YF8, and RL/SNH comparisons, respectively. And we found two DMR-associated DEGs involved in the anthocyanin pathway: ANS (MD06G1071600) and F3H (MD05G1074200). These genes exhibited upregulated expression in apple mutants, and differences were observed in the methylation patterns of their promoters. These results suggested that both the regulatory and structural genes may be modified by DNA methylation in the anthocyanin pathway. However, the methylation of structural genes was not the primary reason for expression-level changes. The expression of structural genes may be synergistically regulated by transcription factors and methylation changes. Additionally, the expression of the transcription factor gene MYB114 (MD17G1261100) was upregulated in the deep-red-skinned apple. CONCLUSION: Through the analysis of global methylation and transcription, we did not find the correlation between gene expression and the DNA methylation. However, we observed that the upregulated expression of ANS (MD06G1071600) and F3H (MD05G1074200) in apple mutants results in increased anthocyanin contents. Moreover, MYB114 (MD17G1261100) is likely another regulatory gene involved in apple coloration. Our data provided a new understanding about the differences in formation of apple colour mutants.

The purpose of the study was to observe changes in endoplasmic reticulum stress (ERS)- and autophagy-related proteins in gastric smooth muscle tissues of diabetic rats with gastroparesis, investigate the effect of insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1) on ERS and autophagy in rat gastric smooth muscle cells cultured under different glucose concentrations, and explore the influence of IGF-1 on development of diabetic gastroparesis (DGP). After establishing a rat model of DGP, rats were divided into normal control (NC) and 6-week diabetic model (DM6W) groups. Expression of ERS-related and autophagy-related proteins was detected by western blot analysis and immunofluorescence assay in rat gastric smooth muscle tissue and in vitro-cultured rat gastric smooth muscle cells exposed to different glucose concentrations and treatment with IGF-1 for 24 or 48 h. Changes in glucose-regulated-protein-78 (GRP78), growth arrest and DNA damage-inducible gene 153 (CHOP), and microtubule-associated protein 1A/1B light chain 3B (LC3) expression levels were detected by western blot analysis, and GRP78 and LC3 expression were examined by confocal laser-scanning microscopy. In vivo expression levels of GRP78, CHOP, and LC3 were significantly higher in the DM6W group compared with the NC group (p < 0.001). Twenty-four hours after cells were cultured at different glucose concentrations in vitro, expression of GRP78, CHOP, and LC3II/I was significantly higher in the high glucose-treated group compared with the normal glucose group (p < 0.05). After IGF-1 intervention, CHOP and GRP78 expression were significantly higher in the normal glucose + IGF-1 group compared with the normal glucose group (p < 0.01), while no significant difference was found between high glucose and high glucose + IGF-1 groups. LC3II/I expression was significantly lower in the normal glucose + IGF-1 group compared with the normal glucose group, and was significantly lower in the high glucose and high glucose + IGF-1 groups (p < 0.05). After 48 h of culture, CHOP expression was significantly higher and LC3II/I expression was significantly lower in the high glucose group compared with the normal glucose group (p < 0.05), but no significant change in GRP78 expression was observed between these two groups. After IGF-1 intervention, there was no difference in CHOP or GRP78 expression between normal glucose + IGF-1 and normal glucose groups. However, CHOP and GRP78 expression were significantly lower in the high glucose + IGF-1 group compared with the high glucose group (p < 0.05). There was no significant difference in LC3II/I expression between normal glucose + IGF-1 and normal glucose groups, or high glucose + IGF-1 and high glucose groups. Results of confocal laser-scanning microscopy showed significantly lower expression of LC3II/I in the high glucose + IGF-1 group compared with the high glucose group (p < 0.05). ERS and autophagy were involved in the occurrence of DGP. IGF-1 exerted an inhibitory effect on ERS in rat gastric smooth muscle cells cultured under high glucose conditions, and this inhibitory effect increased with time. IGF-1 inhibited the level of autophagy in rat gastric smooth muscle cells cultured under high glucose conditions at early stages, which may be achieved through inhibition of ERS.

Honeycomb structure endows graphene with extraordinary properties. But could a honeycomb monolayer superlattice also be generated via self-assembly of colloids or nanoparticles? Here we report the construction of mono- and multilayer molecular films with honeycomb structure that can be regarded as self-assembled artificial graphene (SAAG). We construct fan-shaped molecular building blocks by covalently connecting two kinds of clusters, one polyoxometalate and four polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxanes. The precise shape control enables these complex molecules to self-assemble into a monolayer 2D honeycomb superlattice that mirrors that of graphene but on the mesoscale. The self-assembly of the SAAG was also reproduced via coarse-grained molecular simulations of a fan-shaped building block. It revealed a hierarchical process and the key role of intermediate states in determining the honeycomb structure. Experimental images also show a diversity of bi- and trilayer stacking modes. The successful creation of SAAG and its stacks opens up prospects for the preparation of novel self-assembled nanomaterials with unique properties.

Rapid acquisition of the spatial distribution of soil nutrients holds great implications for farmland soil productivity safety, food security and agricultural management. To this end, we collected 1297 soil samples and measured the content of soil total nitrogen (TN), soil available phosphorus (AP) and soil available potassium (AK) in Zengcheng, north of the Pearl River Delta, China. Hyperspectral remote sensing images (115 bands) of the Chinese Environmental 1A satellite were used as auxiliary variables and dimensionality reduction was performed using Pearson correlation analysis and principal component analysis. The TN, AP and AK of soil were predicted in the study area based on auxiliary variables after dimensionality reduction, along with stepwise linear regression (SLR), support vector machine (SVM), random forest (RF) and back-propagation neural network (BPNN) models; 324 independent points were used to verify the predictive performance. The BPNN model, which demonstrated the best predictive accuracy among all methods, combined ordinary kriging (OK) with mapping the spatial variations of soil nutrients. Results show that the BPNN model with double hidden layers had better predictive accuracy for soil TN (root mean square error (RMSE) = 0.409 mg kg-1, R² = 44.24%), soil AP (RMSE = 40.808 mg kg-1, R² = 42.91%) and soil AK (RMSE = 67.464 mg kg-1, R² = 48.53%) compared with the SLR, SVM and RF models. The back propagation neural network-ordinary kriging (BPNNOK) model showed the best predictive results of soil TN (RMSE = 0.292 mg kg-1, R² = 68.51%), soil AP (RMSE = 29.62 mg kg-1, R² = 69.30%) and soil AK (RMSE = 49.67 mg kg-1 and R² = 70.55%), indicating the best fitting ability between hyperspectral remote sensing bands and soil nutrients. According to the spatial mapping results of the BPNNOK model, concentrations of soil TN (north-central), soil AP (central and southwest) and soil AK (central and southeast) were respectively higher in the study area. The most important bands (464⁻517 nm) for soil TN (b10, b14, b20 and b21), soil AP (b3, b19 and b22) and soil AK (b4, b11, b12 and b25) exhibited the best response and sensitivity according to the SLR, SVM, RF and BPNN models. It was concluded that the application of hyperspectral images (visible-near-infrared data) with BPNNOK model was found to be an efficient method for mapping and monitoring soil nutrients at the regional scale.
