RESUMO

Objective: To investigate the incidence and the related risk factors of para-aortic lymph node metastasis in cervical cancer. Methods: The pathological data of 727 patients with cervical cancer who underwent radical hysterectomy and pelvic and para-aortic lymph node dissection were retrospectively analyzed. The relative postoperative pathological parameters of para-aortic lymph node metastasis were statistically analyzed. Results: Among the 727 patients with cervical cancer, 123(16.9%) had para-aortic lymph node metastasis. Univariate analysis showed that the tumor size, the depth of muscular invasion, the vessel invasion, the uterine body invasion, the vaginal invasion, the parametrial invasion, positive surgical margin, the ovary metastasis, the fallopian tubes metastasis, the pelvic lymph node metastasis, and the common iliac lymph node metastasis were associated with para-aortic lymph node metastasis. While the multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the diameter of primary tumor >4.2 cm, the parametrial invasion, the pelvic lymph node metastasis, and the common iliac lymph node metastasis were the independent risk factors of para-aortic lymph node metastasis. Conclusions: The diameter of primary tumor >4.2 cm, the parametrial invasion, the pelvic lymph node metastasis, and the common iliac lymph node metastasis are the independent risk factors of para-aortic lymph node metastasis in cervical cancer. The tumor size and the common iliac lymph node status should be fully evaluated before the initial operation. Additionally, assessment of the postoperative pelvic lymph node status and the parametrial status will help reduce the rate of misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis, providing a basis for individualized treatment and prognostic judgment.

RESUMO

This study was aimed at understanding the effect of intermittent hypobaric hypoxia preconditioning (IHHP) on neuroglobin (NGB) and Bcl-2 expression in the hippocampal CA1 region of rats following global cerebral ischemia-reperfusion. Wistar rats were randomly divided into sham, IHHP control, global cerebral ischemia-reperfusion (IR group), and IHHP+IR groups. The four-vessel occlusion rat model of Pulsinelli was used for the IR groups, in which the common carotid artery was occluded for 8 min before reperfusion. Thionin and immunohistochemical staining were used to observe NGB and Bcl-2 expression in the hippocampal CA1 region. Data was analyzed using the SPSS software. There was a significant increase in the number of surviving cells in the hippocampal CA1 region of the IHHP+IR group (119.5 ± 14) compared to the IR group (41.7 ± 3.8) (P < 0.05). There was a significant increase in the expression of NGB and Bcl-2 in the hippocampal CA1 region of the IHHP+IR group compared to the IR group. By upregulating hippocampal NGB and Bcl-2 expression, IHHP may play a role in neural protection by reducing hippocampal neuronal apoptosis following IR.

RESUMO

In this study, a Norland optical adhesive 68 (NOA68) film, approximately 2.2 µm thick, was manufactured using ultraviolet solidified NOA68 in apparatus manufacturing film on the inwall of a capillary copper pipe, developed in our laboratory. The roughness of the inwall of capillary copper pipe was improved from Ra = 0.766 to 0.204 µm and the contact angle was improved from approximately 96° to 55°, increasing hydrophilicity. Polymerase chain reaction experiments indicated that the ratio of work pressure in the microfluidic chip before modification to that after modification was 2.71/1, indicating that the extension efficiency increased. Our results provide a basis for the construction of a microform chip based on function integration.

RESUMO

In this paper, we have employed a thin, printed circuit board eddy current array in order to determine the radial distribution of the azimuthal component of the eddy current density at the surface of a steel plate. The eddy current in the steel plate can be calculated by analytical methods under the simplifying assumptions that the steel plate is infinitely large and the exciting current is of uniform distribution. The measurement on the steel plate shows that this method has high spatial resolution. Then, we extended this methodology to a toroidal geometry with the objective of determining the poloidal distribution of the toroidal component of the eddy current density associated with plasma disruption in a fusion reactor called J-TEXT. The preliminary measured result is consistent with the analysis and calculation results on the J-TEXT vacuum vessel.

RESUMO

The amplitude and spatial phase of the intrinsic error field of Joint TEXT (J-TEXT) tokamak were measured by scanning the spatial phase of an externally exerted resonant magnetic perturbation and fitting the mode locking thresholds. For a typical plasma with current of 180 kA, the amplitude of the 2∕1 component of the error field at the plasma edge is measured to be 0.31 G, which is about 1.8 × 10(-5) relative to the base toroidal field. The measured spatial phase is about 317° in the specified coordinate system (r, θ, ϕ) of J-TEXT tokamak. An analytical model based on the dynamics of rotating island is developed to verify the measured phase.
