RESUMO

H-type motion platform with linear motors is widely used in two-degrees-of-freedom motion systems, and one-direction dual motors need to be precisely controlled with strict synchronization for high precision performance. In this paper, a synchronous control method based on model decoupling is proposed. The dynamic model of an H-type air floating motion platform is established and one direction control using two motors with position dependency coupling is decoupled and converted into independent position and rotation controls, separately. For the low damping second-order oscillation system of the rotation control loop, a new fractional order biquad filtering method is proposed to generate an antiresonance peak to improve the phase and control gain of the open loop system, which can ensure system stability and quick attenuation for external disturbances. In the multiple-degree-of-freedom decoupled control loops, a systematic feedback controller design methodology is proposed to satisfy the given frequency domain design specifications; a feed-forward control strategy is also applied to compensate the disturbance torque caused by the platform motion. The simulation and experimental results demonstrate that the proposed synchronization control method is effective, and achieves better disturbance rejection performance than the existing optimal cancellation filtering method and biquad filtering method.

RESUMO

A piecewise frequency control (PFC) strategy is proposed in this paper for coordinating vibration isolation and positioning of supporting systems under complex disturbance conditions, such as direct and external disturbances. This control strategy is applied in an active-passive parallel supporting system, where relative positioning feedback for positioning and absolute velocity feedback for active vibration isolation. The analysis of vibration and deformation transmissibility shows that vibration control increases low-frequency position error while positioning control amplifies high-frequency vibration amplitude. To overcome this contradiction across the whole control bandwidth, a pair of Fractional-Order Filters (FOFs) is adopted in the PFC system, which increases the flexibility in the PFC design by introducing fraction orders. The system stability analysis indicates that the FOFs can provide a better stability margin than the Integral-Order Filters (IOFs), so the control gains are increased to get a better performance on the AVI and positioning. The PFC based on FOFs can suppress the peak amplitude at the natural frequency which cannot be avoided when using the IOFs. The constrained nonlinear multivariable function is formed by the required performance and the stability of the system, then the controller parameters are optimized effectively. Lastly, the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by experiments.

RESUMO

In this paper, a multi-module electrodynamic exciter based on moving-magnet disk voice coil motor is presented to meet the demands of high torque and high bandwidth in a dynamic torsional stiffness test. A variable pole-arc ratio disk Halbach array (VPAR-DHA) is proposed, so that both high torque density and low rotor inertia can be obtained through enhancing the magnetic field in the working range. The analytical quasi-3-D model of VPAR-DHA was set up by using the harmonic function method, with the consideration of end-effects by a correction function. Electromagnetic structure optimization was carried out with the analytical model, and verified by 3-D finite-element (FEM) results. The proposed design was experimentally tested and verified with a prototype that achieved a peak dynamic torque output of 40 Nm at a frequency of 120 Hz, and a stroke of ±1°. The proposed method can also be easily extended to satisfy various demands of dynamic torsional stiffness test.

RESUMO

This paper presents a novel 2-D magnet array with gaps and staggers, which is especially suitable for magnetically levitated planar motor with moving magnets. The magnetic flux density distribution is derived by Fourier analysis and superposition. The influences of gaps and staggers on high-order harmonics and flux density were analyzed, and the optimized design is presented. Compared with the other improved structures based on traditional Halbach magnet arrays, the proposed design has the lowest high-order harmonics percentage, and the characteristics of flux density meet the demand of high acceleration in horizontal directions. It is also lightweight and easy to manufacture. The proposed magnet array was built, and the calculation results have been verified with experiment.

RESUMO

A simple and accurate method based on the magnetic equivalent circuit (MEC) model is proposed in this paper to predict magnetic flux density (MFD) distribution of the air-gap in a Lorentz motor (LM). In conventional MEC methods, the permanent magnet (PM) is treated as one common source and all branches of MEC are coupled together to become a MEC network. In our proposed method, every PM flux source is divided into three sub-sections (the outer, the middle and the inner). Thus, the MEC of LM is divided correspondingly into three independent sub-loops. As the size of the middle sub-MEC is small enough, it can be treated as an ideal MEC and solved accurately. Combining with decoupled analysis of outer and inner MECs, MFD distribution in the air-gap can be approximated by a quadratic curve, and the complex calculation of reluctances in MECs can be avoided. The segmented magnetic equivalent circuit (SMEC) method is used to analyze a LM, and its effectiveness is demonstrated by comparison with FEA, conventional MEC and experimental results.
