RESUMO

To explore the effect of predictive nursing on the mental state, compliance and sleep quality of elderly patients with cervicitis. The clinical data of 96 elderly patients with cervicitis who were admitted to our hospital from June 2019 to June 2021 were selected as the research objects. According to the different treatments, they were divided into a control group and an observation group with 48 cases each. Among them, the control group was given routine care, and the observation group was given predictive care on the basis of the control group. The effects of the quality of life, mental state, compliance and sleep quality of the 2 groups of patients before and after nursing were compared. Comparing the nursing compliance of the 2 groups of elderly patients with cervicitis, statistics showed that the difference was statistically significant (P < .05). After nursing, the sleep quality, increased arousal, unstable sleep, and night terrors of the 2 groups of elderly patients with cervicitis were significantly improved, and the negative emotion score of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group. Statistics show that this difference is statistically significant (P < .05). The comparison of the quality of life scores of the 2 groups of patients before nursing was not statistically significant (P > .05). After nursing, the mental vitality score, social interaction score, emotional restriction score, and mental status of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group. Statistics showed that the difference was statistically significant (P < .05). After nursing, the psychological pressure of the 2 groups of elderly patients with cervicitis was significantly improved, and the observation group fear, anxiety, desire for knowledge, fear of discrimination, despair, and low self-esteem were significantly lower than those of the control group. The difference was statistically significant (P < .05). Predictive nursing can effectively improve the quality of life and sleep of elderly patients with cervicitis, reduce psychological pressure, improve compliance and sleep quality, and benefit the prognosis and clinical treatment of patients. It has a certain reference value for the nursing of elderly patients with cervicitis.

RESUMO

The guava fruit fly, Bactrocera correcta, is one of the major pests affecting mango (Mangifera indica) and guava (Psidium guajava) production in China. The compound ß-caryophyllene was identified from the rectal gland extracts of wild B. correcta males and was demonstrated to be a more specific and potent male lure than methyl eugenol (ME) for B. correcta. In order to find potential additional pheromone attractants for the monitoring and mass-trapping of this fruit fly, a series of chemical and behavioral assays were conducted in this study. Ten compounds were identified from the rectal glands of virgin B. correcta females. These compounds consisted of five major compounds (i.e., ethyl dodecanoate, ethyl tetradecanoate, ethyl (E)-9-hexadecenoate, ethyl hexadecanoate, and ethyl (Z)-9-octadecenoate) in high quantities, and other compounds (i.e., octanal, N-(3-methylbutyl) acetamide, (Z)-9-tricosene, ethyl octadecanoate, and ethyl eicosanoate) in trace amounts, while virtually no compounds were found in male rectal glands. The bioassays indicate that female rectal gland extracts are attractive to virgin females and males. Furthermore, a cyclical production of the five major compounds was found, recurring at roughly 10-d intervals with peaks in 10⁻13-, 25-, and 35-d-old females. Collectively, these results will contribute to the understanding of pheromone communication in B. correcta and may provide important information for improving existing monitoring and control methods for this pest.

RESUMO

Selenium (Se) is a naturally occurring trace element. It is essential for humans and animals but is very toxic at higher concentrations and will make the selenium pollution. In four inorganic states of selenate [SeO4(2-) (VI)], selenite [SeO3(2-) (IV)], elemental selenium [Se0 (0)] and selenide [Se2- (-II)], selenium oxyanions including selenite and selenate are well known to be more bioavailable but higher toxic than other forms. Many bacteria have the capacity to reduce selenium oxyanions to red elemental ground granule, called red elemental selenium, which is likely to be Se-protein compound. It has lower toxicity comparing with selenite, but when the size is at 5-200 nm, its bioavailability to selenite was similar in terms of inducing seleno-enzymes in cultured cells and in Se-deficient rats. This provides the potential to gain the best manner to supply selenium for organisms and solve the pollution of selenium. So far, series of researches have been made to study this bacterial reduced process. Many substances such as carbon source, oxygen, elemental sulfur, glutathione, some oxidoreductases and transfer protein in membrane were found to affect or participate this biological dissimilatory reduction. This review presents the discovery of the biomorphic red elemental selenium, factors affecting the bacterial reduction of the selenium oxyanions, and the possible pathways to form red elemental selenium in bacteria.
