RESUMO

In this study, we proposed a holographic identity verification encryption system that integrates face recognition, air-writing, and the multiple point cloud gridding encryption (M-PCGE) method to ensure multi-level security for objects. The experimental results show that the M-PCGE algorithm proposed in this paper achieves image encryption and decryption quickly with a high degree of restoration, and the security is verified.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: The clinical significance of the YY1 gene mutation and expression in pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (PNETs) remains unknown. Therefore, this study aimed to comprehensively analyze the somatic mutation of YY1 in the different subtypes of PNETs. METHODS: A total of 143 PNETs were assessed by Sanger sequencing to identify the somatic mutation of YY1 gene in various subtypes of PNETs. YY1 protein expression was examined in 103 PNETs by immunohistochemical staining and western blot. Gene mutation and its protein expression were correlated with clinicopathologic features. RESULTS: A recurrent mutation (chr14:100743807C>G) in the YY1 gene was identified in 15 of 83 insulinomas (18%) and in only 1 of 60 noninsulinoma PNETs (1.7%) (P = .0045). The YY1 mutation was not found in MEN1-associated insulinomas. The YY1 mutation in insulinomas was correlated with older age and lower serum glucose levels (age, 57 vs 42.5 years, P = .006; blood glucose, 25.2 vs 33.6 mg/dL, P = .008). YY1 protein expression was found in 100 of 103 PNETs, although expression was weaker in metastases than in localized tumors (P = .036). The stronger expression of YY1 protein was associated with favorable disease-free survival of patients with PNETs (log-rank, P = .011; n = 70). Multivariable statistical analysis showed that YY1 protein expression could be an independent predictor of prognosis. CONCLUSION: The hotspot YY1 mutation mostly occurred in insulinomas and rarely in noninsulinoma PNETs. The stronger YY1 protein expression was correlated with the better prognosis of PNETs patients.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: The COVID-19 outbreak has affected people's health worldwide. For college students, web-based physical education is a challenge, as these course are normally offered outdoors. OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was to use data from a web-based survey to evaluate the relationship between the mental health status of college students and their sports-related lifestyles. Problems related to web-based physical education were also examined. METHODS: A web-based survey was conducted by snowball sampling from May 8 to 11, 2020. Demographic data, mental health status, and sports-related lifestyles of college students in Wuhan as well as issues related to web-based physical education were collected. Mental health status was assessed by the Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale (DASS-21). RESULTS: The study included 1607 respondents from 267 cities. The average scores of the DASS-21 subscales (2.46 for depression, 1.48 for anxiety, and 2.59 for stress) were significantly lower in our study than in a previous study (P<.05). Lower DASS-21 scores were significantly correlated with regular exercise, maintaining exercise habits during the outbreak of COVID-19, exercising more than 1 to 2 times a week, exercise duration >1 hour, and >2000 pedometer steps (all P<.05). None of the three forms of web-based physical education was preferred by more than 50% of respondents. Frequent technical problems were confronted by 1087/1607 students (67.6%). Shape-up exercises (846/1607, 52.6%), a designed combination of exercises (710/1607, 44.2%), and Chinese kung fu (559/1607, 34.8%) were suggested sports for web-based physical education. CONCLUSIONS: Mental status was significantly correlated with regular exercise and sufficient exercise duration. Professional physical guidance is needed for college students in selected sports. Exercises not meeting students' preferences, frequent technical problems, and the distant interaction involved in web-based physical education were the main problems that should be solved in future.

RESUMO

To explore the relationship between the epithelial adhesion molecules and immune responses of airway epithelium, we observed the expression of integrin ß4 and intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1) in the mice airway epithelium after sensitization with allergens. BALB/c mice were sensitized with intraperitoneal injection of ovalbumin (OVA) or house dust mite (HDM) and then developed airway hyper-responsiveness as determined by barometric whole-body plethysmography. Both OVA and HDM sensitization led to increases of the number of peripheral leukocytes as well as inflammatory cells infiltration in lungs. OVA sensitized mice showed more severe inflammatory cells infiltration than HDM sensitized mice. Immunohistochemistry analysis of mice lung tissues revealed that sensitization with both allergens also led to a decrease of integrin ß4 expression and an increase of ICAM-1 expression in airway epithelia. OVA sensitized mice showed a more significant increase of ICAM-1 expression compared with HDM sensitized mice. siRNA mediated silencing of integrin ß4 gene in 16HBE cells resulted in an up-regulation of ICAM-1 expression. Our results indicate a possible role of airway epithelial adhesion molecules in allergen-induced airway immune responses.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To observe the dynamic time-phase expressions of key genes of brain-gut CaM signal pathway of spleen Qi deficiency rats and the intervention effect of Sijunzi decoction. METHOD: Male Wistar rats were randomly divided into the normal control group, model 14 d, 21 d, 28 d groups, and Sijunzi decoction 14 d, 21 d, 28 d groups. Except for the normal control group, the remaining groups were included into the spleen Qi deficiency model with the bitter cold breaking Qi method (ig 7.5 g · kg⁻¹ · d⁻¹ of Rheum officinale, Fructus aurantii immaturus, Magnolia officinalis preparation) and the exhaustive swimming method. On the 7th day after the modeling, the Sijunzi decoction groups were orally administered with Sijunzi decoction 20 g · kg⁻¹ · d⁻¹. The expressions of key genes CaM/CaMK II of CaM signaling pathway in hippocampus and intestine at different time points by immunohistochemical method and Western blot. At the same time, the intervention effect of Sijunzi decoction on spleen Qi deficiency rats and its mechanism were analyzed. RESULT: Spleen Qi deficiency rats showed higher intestinal CaM/CaMK II expression and lower hippocampus CaM/CaMK II expression than normal rats (P < 0.05, P < 0.01). After the treatment of Sijunzi decoction, spleen Qi deficiency rats showed reduction in intestinal CaM/CaMK II expression and increase in hippocampus CaM/CaMK II expression (P < 0.05, P < 0.01). CONCLUSION: The formation of spleen Qi deficiency syndrome may be related to the high expression of CaM/CaMK II in small intestine tissues and its low expression in hippocampus tissues. Sijunzi decoction may achieve the therapeutic effect in spleen Qi deficiency syndrome by reducing the CaM/CaMK II expression in intestinal tissues and increasing it in hippocampus tissues.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To explore the efficacy of high tibial osteotomy (HTO) combined with medial meniscus centralization in knee osteoarthritis. METHODS: A total of 26 patients who underwent surgery from October 2018 to October 2020 were reviewed. Among them, 14 patients underwent high tibial osteotomy combined with arthroscopic meniscus centralization surgery were centralized group, including 8 males and 6 females, with an average age of (50.2±1.4) years old and follow-up time of (16.8±4.0) months. Twelve patients with high tibial osteotomy were in the control group, including 6 males and 6 females, with an average age of (50.9±1.8) years and follow-up time of (19.0±4.8) months. Operation time, the knee Lysholm score, knee 2000 IKDC score, MRI, femoral tibial angle(FTA), hip knee ankle angle (HKA), and intraoperative and postoperative complications were recorded. RESULTS: All the incisions healed without any complication. The operation time in the centralized group was longer than that in the control group[(65.0±2.1)min vs(52.0±2.1)min, P<0.05]. The medial meniscus extrusion reduction value in the centralized group was significantly reduced compared with the control group[(2.8±1.4) mm vs (1.1±2.2) mm, P<0.05]. The FTA, HKA, knee Lyshlom score, and 2000 IKDC score between two groups were no significantly (P>0.05). Postoperative knee Lyshlom score and knee 2000 IKDC score improved in both groups(P<0.05). CONCLUSION: HTO combined with centralization of medial meniscus can improve the reduction of medial meniscus and improve knee function. The medium and long-term curative effect still needs long-term follow-up of more cases.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Functional dyspepsia-epigastric pain syndrome (FD-EPS) is characterized pathophysiologically by visceral hypersensitivity, but the effect of the temperature stimulation on gastric function has been seldom studied. AIM: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of liquid nutrients at different temperatures on the gastric accommodation, sensitivity, and gastric-wall compliance of healthy subjects (HS) and FD-EPS patients. METHODS: Ten FD-EPS patients (Roma III criteria) and ten HS were recruited into the study. Intragastric pressure (IGP) and gastric perfusion were measured and compared following the administration of liquid nutrients at 37 °C on day 1 and at 8 °C on day 2. RESULTS: Seven patients developed abdominal discomfort or abdominal pain after being given cold liquid nutrient. The administration of liquid nutrient at 8 °C resulted in an increase of IGP in HS (P=0.044), a significant decrease in gastric perfusion (P<0.0001), a marked increase in IGP (P=0.015), and a dramatic reduction in gastric wall compliance (P=0.012) in patients compared to the effects of liquid nutrient at 37 °C. In addition, IGP in patients was lower than that in HS at 37 °C liquid nutrient (P=0.036), and the gastric perfusion volume in patients at maximal satiety was also significantly reduced at 8 °C liquid nutrient compared with HS (P=0.017). CONCLUSIONS: Cold stimulation can increase the IGP in HS and FD-EPS patients, elevate the visceral sensitivity and reduce the gastric volume of FD-EPS patients. FD-EPS patients who are sensitive to cold may develop epigastric discomfort or pain.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To improve the understanding of sublingual gland amyloidosis causing obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome(OSAHS). METHODS: A case of sublingual gland amyloidosis causing OSAHS diagnosed in april 2012 was reported and the related literatures were reviewed. The literature review was carried out respectively with "amyloidosis, sublingual gland, obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome", as the search terms in Wanfang Data and PubMed by November 2012. RESULTS: A case of 74 year-old male patient was admitted to the hospital because of snoring for 5 years, sleep apnea for 1 year and arousal for 1 month. After admission, polysomnography showed severe OSAHS, physical examination showed redundant the sublingual gland. Enhanced CT scanning showed soft tissue masses at the sublingual gland. Abdominal B ultrasonic and CT also showed a spaces-occupying lesion in the left retroperitoneal. B-guided core needle biopsy was performed in the left retroperitoneal. Pathology report showed amyloidosis. Subsequently, sublingual gland mass resection was performed. Pathology report after operation showed amyloid deposits staining with Congo red, which gives it a characteristic green birefringence in polarised light. Accordingly, it was diagnosed as sublingual gland amyloidosis. The symptoms of snore and sleep apnea were disappeared after operation. So far, there was no local recurrence with 10 months follow-up. A total of 3 literatures were received in Wanfang Data, including 2 of macroglossia amyloidosis causeing OSAHS case report and one of retrospective study. There were no reports about sublingual gland amyloidosis in Wanfang Data. A total of 5 literatures were received in Pubmed, including 2 of sublingual gland amyloidosis case report, 2 of macroglossia amyloidosis causeing OSAHS case report and one of retrospective study. However, there were no reports about sublingual gland amyloidosis causing OSAHS. CONCLUSIONS: Amyloidosis rarely occurred in the sublingual gland and is easy to be misdiagnosed and missed diagnosed, which can causing severe OSAHS. To make a definite diagnosis, histopathology and staining with Congo red are needed and a characteristic green birefringence in polarised light is a reliable marker for diagnosis. After sublingual gland mass resection, the patient had good prognosis.

RESUMO

Background: Tobacco cessation is proven to be the most effective and cost-effective strategy for smokers to reduce their risk of smoking-related disease and premature death. Providing effective, efficient, safe, and patient-centred tobacco cessation treatment to reach those who need them is a significant challenge. To date, only a few nationwide studies in China have assessed the overall clinical care practice and treatment outcome of tobacco cessation. Methods: This a prospective, nationwide, multicenter, cohort study covering all Eastern China, Northwest China, Central China, North China, Southwest China, Northeast China, and South China. Participants who were current smokers aged 18-85 years attending clinic for smoking cessation were included. All the participants were treated with 3-month cessation treatment and followed up for 3 months. Data were collected prospectively using online system. The primary outcome was 7-day point abstinence rate at 24 weeks, validated biochemically by an expired carbon monoxide level of less than 10 ppm. The participants lost to follow-up or not providing validation were included as non-abstainers. Findings: A representative sample of 3557 participants were recruited and 2943 participants were included into this analysis. These participants had mean age of 53.05 years, and 94.8% were males, with 75.8% showing symptoms of tobacco dependence. A total of 965 (32.8%) participants were treated with Bupropion + behavioural counselling, followed by 935 (31.8%) with behavioural counselling, 778 (26.4%) with Varenicline + behavioural counselling, 135 (4.6%) with alternative treatments + behavioural counselling, and 130 (4.4%) with nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) + behavioural counselling. After 3-month treatment and 3-month follow-up, 21.74% of the participants quit smoking at 24 weeks. In the multivariable-adjusted analyses, quitting smoking was significantly associated with female, higher socioeconomic status, poor health condition, different treatment received, and less smoking intensity. The tobacco cessation treatment varied widely across different areas of China. In particular, the areas with higher usage of cessation medication were associated with better cessation treatment outcome. Interpretation: The CNTCCS is the first large-scale nationwide cohort study of smoking cessation in China. Rich data collected from this prospective cohort study provided the opportunity to evaluate the clinical practice of tobacco cessation treatment in China. RESUMO

Anti-tumor activity and mechanism of matrine is evaluated and investigated. MTT assay showed that the matrine was able to inhibit gastric cancer cell line MNK45 in a dose-dependent manner. The concentration required for 50% inhibition (IC50) was found to be 540 µg/ml. This anti-tumor function was achieved through modulation of the NF-κB, XIAP, CIAP, and p-ERK proteins expression in cell line MNK45. By western blot analysis, we found that expression of NF-κB, XIAP, CIAP, and p-ERK proteins in cell line MNK45 would vary with varying concentration of matrine. These protein interactions possibly play a pivotal role in the regulation of apoptosis, for which further detailed analyzes are need. These results overall indicate that matrine can be used as an effective anti-tumor agent in therapy of gastric cancer.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To explore the symptomatic features and psychosocial factors in patients with belching disorders. METHODS: At Peking Union Medical College Hospital Outpatient Clinic from September 2010 to January 2011, 21 consecutive patients with repetitive belching were profiled by symptom questionnaires, including general demographics, spectrum of symptoms, disease course, predisposing factors, previous treatment, psychosocial factors, mental status and personality traits, etc. Pearson's correlation analysis and exact probability were used. RESULTS: Among them, 20 patients fulfilled the Rome III criteria of belching disorders. There were 5 males and 15 females with an age range of (49 ± 10) years. Among them, the belching patterns were daily (n = 18), meal-related (n = 16), spontaneous (n = 15), controllable (n = 16) and symptomatic overlapping (n = 17). The most common symptoms were functional dyspepsia (FD) (n = 13) and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) (n = 11). Sixteen patients experienced mental stimulation/negative events and 13 patients were related to family tension, work stress and overwork. There were 12 patients with anxiety and/or depression and 8 with neurotic personality. The number of overlapping symptoms was related to anxiety states (r = 0.47, t = 2.14, P < 0.05). But the severity of belching was unrelated to with or without depression and anxiety state (P = 0.096). CONCLUSIONS: There are a variety of clinical manifestations in patients with belching disorders. Belching disorders is often related to emotional change and environmental stress and accompanied by abnormal mental and personality characteristics. Belching may be an abnormal behavior reaction to gastrointestinal discomfort symptoms. The psychological and social factors probably play an important role in the pathogenesis of belching disorders.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To survey the emotional and sleeping status of patients with chronic constipation (CC) and analyze the relationship between psychological status and constipated symptoms. METHODS: From January 2009 to April 2010, 5 centers and 25 stratified hospitals were selected as the representatives of different regions of mainland China. The CC questionnaires including constipated symptoms, emotional and sleeping status, previous treatments and self-reported impact of constipation on health status, etc. Questionnaires were completed by well-trained physicians or investigators during face-to-face interviews. CC was diagnosed in accordance with the Rome III criteria. RESULTS: A total of 909 valid questionnaires analyzed. There were 258 males and 651 females with a mean age of (49 ± 19) years. 41.5% (377 cases) reported "tense feelings" and 38.3% (348 cases) "felt downcast" over the past 3 months. The patients feeling tense and(or) downcast "frequently" and "most of time" were around 11.3% (103 cases) and 9.4% (85 cases). And 43.8% (398 cases) patients reported sleeping disorders over the past 3 months. Regional differences existed in the comorbidities of psychological and sleeping disorders in CC patients, especially in those from tertiary hospitals. And it was the highest in Beijing area for tense feelings and downcast. The sleeping disorders were the most common in the patients from secondary hospitals, of which 66.1% (37/56) and 65.0% (39/60) were from Wuhan and Xi'an respectively. They were higher than Beijing and Guangzhou (39.7% (23/58), 29.0% (9/31), all P = 0.001). The patients from rural primary clinics suffered more sleeping disorders than those from urban primary cares (P = 0.026). About 35.0% (318 cases) and 28.4% (258 cases) patients reported their constipation was related with emotional and sleeping disorders. The comorbidities of psychological and sleeping disorders were more common in severe constipated patients than mild and moderate counterparts and resulted in more hospital visits (both P = 0.000). CONCLUSIONS: The CC patients often have the comorbidities of psychological and sleeping disorders with regional differences. The patients from the hospitals at various levels may present different spectrums of comorbidities of psychological and sleeping disorders. And the severity of CC influences the moods, sleeps and hospital visits.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Inhibition of mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) represents an attractive target for anticancer therapy, but its role in suppression of colorectal cancer (CRC) cell growth by cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitors is unclear. Here, we analyzed the effect of indomethacin (Indo, a nonselective COX-2 inhibitor) and nimesulide (Nim, a selective COX-2 inhibitor) on mTOR signaling in CRC cells in vitro and in vivo to determine the dependence of this effect on COX-2. METHODS: Human CRC cell lines with varying COX-2 expression levels were treated with Indo and Nim. Western blot test was performed to detect mTOR-related components (mTOR, p70s6 K, and 4EBP1), and cell viability, cell cycle, and apoptosis were assessed. HCT116 and SW1116 cells were injected into athymic nude mice to establish a CRC xenograft model. After treatment with Nim, tumor volume, mTOR signaling, and apoptosis were evaluated in this model. HT29 and SW1116 cells were also treated with Nim after transfection with COX-2-specific small interfering RNA (siRNA) to assess dependence of COX-2 on mTOR signaling under drug treatment. RESULTS: Both Indo and Nim reduced mTOR signaling activity in CRC cells that differ in their COX-2 expression in vitro and in vivo. Additionally, Indo and Nim could reduce the mTOR signaling activity after COX-2 silencing in CRC cells. CONCLUSIONS: mTOR signaling is involved in Indo- and Nim-mediated suppression of CRC growth via a COX-2 independent pathway. This study unveils a novel mechanism through which COX-2 inhibitors exerts their anticancer effects and further emphasizes targeting mTOR signaling in anticancer therapy.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To increase the understanding in protein-losing enteropathy (PLE). METHODS: Sixty-one PLE patients were enrolled in the study and the clinical characteristics, complicated disease, diagnosis and treatment were analyzed. RESULTS: The age of the patients was 16 - 77 (40 ± 15) years, and the gender ratio was 35:26 (female:male). The main clinical manifestations were bilateral lower limb edema in 51 cases, ascites in 41 cases, bilateral pleural effusion in 23 cases, pericardial effusion in 13 cases, abdominal pain in 16 cases and diarrhea in 33 cases. The prominent abnormality in laboratory examinations was hypoalbuminemia. The underlying diseases include systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) in 28 cases, intestinal lymphangiectasia in 12 cases, hepatic cirrhosis in 5 cases, heart diseases in 5 cases, Crohn's disease in 3 cases, membranous nephropathy in 2 cases, Budd-Chiari syndrome in 1 case. Four cases happened after abdominal operation and 1 case after radiation therapy of gastric cardia cancer. Thirty-seven cases were diagnosed by (99)Tc(m)-labelled human serum albumin scintigraphy and 24 cases were diagnosed clinically. Treatment was focused on underlying diseases. The clinical manifestations in 21 cases of SLE improved after SLE was controlled. In 2 cases of intestinal lymphangiectasia and one with Crohn's disease, the clinical manifestations improved after surgery. The other patients had no improvement. CONCLUSIONS: PLE was not uncommon in clinical practice. Its predominant characteristics were severe hypoalbuminemia, edema and dropsy of serous cavity. RESUMO

BACKGROUND AND AIMS: The function of human macrophage metalloelastase (HME) also known as matrix metalloproteinase 12, in tumorigenesis is contradictory. The current study was designed to investigate the association of HME expression with angiogenesis and prognosis of gastric carcinomas. METHODS: In situ hybridization and immunohistochemistry were used to detect HME in human gastric carcinomas, chronic gastritis with atypical hyperplasia, and normal gastric epithelium mucosa. The results were further confirmed by RT-PCR or semi-quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction and Western blotting in gastric carcinomas and paired noncancerous tissues. VEGF and microvessel density count were also detected by immunohistochemical staining in all carcinoma tissues. The prognostic significance of HME was assessed with multiple linear regression analysis and Cox proportional hazards model. RESULTS: High expression of HME protein/mRNA was observed in gastric carcinomas and atypical hyperplasia tissues compared with normal gastric epithelium mucosa, or paired noncancerous tissues. HME protein/mRNA were negatively correlated with MVD (p < 0.01), VEGF (p < 0.01), tumor differentiation grade (p < 0.05), vascular invasion (p < 0.01), and recurrence (p < 0.05-0.01). HME protein was an independent influential factor of MVD (p < 0.01). HME protein/mRNA was an independent prognostic factor of gastric carcinoma (p < 0.05-0.01). Patients with overexpression of HME protein/mRNA demonstrated a significantly better survival rate compared with those who did not (p < 0.05-0.01). CONCLUSIONS: Overexpression of HME is strongly correlated with the reduced angiogenesis and vascular invasion of gastric carcinoma, and may serve as a useful predictive indicator in patients with this disease.

RESUMO

Neutrophils are key inflammatory cells in the immunopathogenesis of asthma. Neutrophil migration can be initiated through activation of the CXCR1 and CXCR2 receptors by CXC chemokines, such as IL-8. Although transcription factor KLF2 has been found to maintain T cell migration patterns through repression of several chemokine receptors, whether KLF2 can regulate neutrophil migration via modulation of CXCR1 and CXCR2 is unknown. Here, we aimed to explore the functions of KLF2, CXCR1 and CXCR2 in neutrophil migration in asthma and to establish a regulatory role of KLF2 for CXCR1/2. We demonstrate that with asthma aggravation, the percentages and migration rates of peripheral blood neutrophils gradually increased in asthmatic patients and the guinea pig asthma model. Correspondingly, both the KLF2 mRNA and protein levels in neutrophils were gradually reduced. While CXCR1 and CXCR2 expression was negatively correlated with KLF2. In vitro knockdown of KLF2 dramatically increased the migration of HL-60-drived neutrophil-like cells, which was accompanied by an increase in the CXCR1 and CXCR2 mRNA and protein expression levels. Taken together, our results indicate that decreased KLF2 aggravates asthma progression by promoting neutrophil migration, which is associated with the transcriptional upregulation of CXCR1 and CXCR2. The KLF2 and/or CXCR1/2 expression levels may represent an indicator of asthma severity.

RESUMO

A copper(II) metal-organic framework {[Cu(ttpa)(pim)]·H2O}n (1) was synthesized and characterized by EA, IR, X-ray powder diffraction, optical band gaps, VB XPS spectra and luminescence (ttpa = tris(4-(1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)phenyl)amine, pim = pimelate). 1 exhibits the 3D pcu topology containing the [Cu2(COO)4] dimer building block. Eg, Ev and Ec of 1 were 2.37, 1.64 and -0.73 eV, respectively. MOF 1 exhibits a highly photocatalytic efficiency for the degradation of methylene blue and rhodamine B by visible light irradiation. The photocatalyst 1 is very stable after photocatalytic experiment and can be reused for at least five times. The photocatalytic mechanism was detailedly assumed and confirmed by the photocatalytic reaction in the presence of the hydroxyl radical scavenger mannitol and trapping agent 1,4-benzenedicarbolic acid.

RESUMO

Four nanostructural nickel(II) coordination polymers {[Ni(ttpa)(1,4-ndc)(H2O)2]·2H2O}n (1), {[Ni(ttpa)(1,3-bda)]·2H2O·DMF}n (2·2H2O·DMF), {[Ni(ttpa)(1,4-bdc)]·H2O}n (3) and {[Ni(ttpa)(aip)(H2O)]·3H2O}n (4·3H2O) were synthesized using hydrothermal and sonochemical methods (ttpa = tris(4-(1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)phenyl)amine, 1,4-ndc = 1,4-naphthalenedicarboxylate, 1,3-bda = 1,3-benzenediacetate, 1,4-bdc = 1,4-benzenedicarboxylate, aip = 5-aminoisophthalate), and characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectra, scanning electron microscopy, single-crystal and powder X-ray diffraction analysis, optical band gaps, VB XPS spectra and luminescence. The effects of sonication power, time and frequency on the size and morphology of nano-sized 1-4 have been studied. 1 exhibits an unusual 2D + 2D → 3D inclined polycatenated motif based on the (3,3)-coordinated 63-hcb topology. 2 shows a (3,4)-coordinated 2D network of the bey topology. 3 presents a rare example of the 4-fold interpenetrating array of (3,5)-coordinated 3D network belonging to the 35T1 topology type. 4 displays an unusual 2D → 3D polythreaded network based on 2D sql networks. 1-4 exhibit luminescent emissions at 409, 399, 413 and 402 nm, respectively. 1-4 are semiconducting in nature, with Eg of 2.12 eV (1), 2.34 eV (2), 2.32 eV (3), and 2.47 eV (4). 1-4 are good catalysts for the degradation of MB under visible light irradiation. The effects of the size and morphology of nano-sized 1-4 on the photocatalytic efficiencies were studied. The higher sonication frequency obtains uniform and smaller nano-sized coordination polymers which have higher catalytic efficiencies.

RESUMO

In August 2016, 59 sites of 13 streams in Xianju National Park were surveyed to explore the community structure of Chironomid larvae and their indicative significance for water quality. Water quality of the streams was evaluated based on Hilsenhoff biological index. The results showed that there were 37 clean sites, 19 mild polluted sites and three moderated polluted sites in Xianju National Park. We identified a total of 86 species of Chironomid larvae, belonging to 51 genera and four subfamilies, including 37 species in 19 genera of Chironominae; 35 species in 21 genera of Orthcladiinae; 12 species in 9 genera of Tanypodinae, two species in two genera of Diamesinae. Chironominae accounted for 40.3% of Chironomid larval density. Tanypodinae and Orthcladiinae were almost similar in Chironomid larval density, respectively accounted for 30% and 29.4% of the total. Diamesinae accounted for 0.3% of total Chironomid larval density. Conchapelopia sp. was the overwhelming dominant species and Polypedilum flavum, Rheocricotopus sp., Cricotupus vierriensis, Rheotanytarsus muscicola and Corynoneura carriana were the dominant species of Chironomid larvae. The result of indicator species analysis showed that Cricotupus vierriensis, Nanocladius dichromus, Tanytarsus formosanus, Tanytarsus mendex were indicator species of moderated pollution water, and that Rheocricotopus sp. was the indicator species of clean state water.
