RESUMO

This paper investigates and counts the ethnic medicines of the Ewenki,Daur and Oroqen ethnic groups, which are known as the " Three Minorities" in Inner Mongolia. Through the methods of literature collection, interview investigation, and resource investigation, different ethnic medicines were collected on the main diseases, drug varieties,drug-injection sites, and drug administration methods. Through data statistics and SPSS analysis, the similarities and individual differences between the three ethnic groups were clarified. The results indicated the predicament of the current national medicine, which is helpful for the protection and inheritance of ethnic medicine.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVES: To study the genetic polymorphisms of 30 insertion/deletion (InDel) loci and evaluate their forensic application in Ewenki ethnic group from Inner Mongolia. METHODS: Peripheral blood samples were collected from 87 unrelated healthy individuals in Ewenki ethnic group. Genomic DNA were extracted, and 30 InDel loci of the samples were multiplex amplified and genotyped. Hardy-Weinberg balance tests were preformed for all loci and genetic parameters were calculated by modified PowerStats v1.2 software. The linkage disequilibrium between loci were tested by SNPAnalyzer v2.0 software. Based on the allele frequencies of 30 InDel loci, the genetic relationships between Ewenki ethnic group and other populations were evaluated by analysis of molecular variance, principal component analysis and phylogenetic reconstruction. RESULTS: After correction, 30 InDel loci conformed to Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium. It was found that the pairwise InDel loci were in linkage equilibrium after Bonferroni correction. The results of population genetics indicated that Ewenki ethnic group had close genetic relationships with Henan Han and Beijing Han populations; whereas it was significantly different from several populations in Europe and Mexico. CONCLUSIONS: There are relatively high genetic polymorphisms on 30 InDel loci of Ewenki ethnic group from Inner Mongolia, which can be used as a helpful supplement application for STR detection system.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: InDel polymorphisms show great potential for use with challenging DNA samples in forensic practice due to having similar advantages to STRs and SNPs. Large-scale InDel genotype data are becoming available world wide populations, thus providing an alternative for investigating genetic architectures in rarely studied populations from a genome perspective. METHODS: Here, we genotyped 47 highly polymorphic InDel variations in 157 Mongolian and 100 Ewenki individuals from the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of China in order to evaluate their utility for forensic purposes. RESULTS: The CDPs of the 47 InDels for these groups were calculated to be 0.999999999999999999874 and 0.999999999999999999677, respectively, while the CPEs were 0.99981 and 0.99975, respectively. The 47 InDel variations were therefore an efficient tool for forensic personal identification in the Mongolian and Ewenki ethnic groups. Comparison of results from the present study with datasets from previously published literatures and from the 1000 Genomes Project revealed a prominent East Asian ancestry component in the gene pool of both ethnic groups, hinting at the close genetic relationships between Mongolian, Ewenki and most East Asian populations. Furthermore, Han populations from northern China showed even closer genetic affinities with the Mongolian and Ewenki groups. CONCLUSIONS: The data presented here would facilitate the forensic application of InDels for Mongolian and Ewenki ethnic minorities and expand our knowledge regarding the genetic diversities of these populations.
