RESUMO
The main and more frequent problem in face lift is recurrence of neck bands. To improve face lift stability, a new aging analysis is proposed. The visible sign of face aging is skin excess. Superficial musculo aponeurotic system (SMAS) retraction is a much less visible sign. Nevertheless, botulinum toxin injections elongate muscles of the SMAS and rejuvenate the face. In the Face Recurve Concept, MRI studies prove the mimic muscles retraction that comes with aging. Face lift techniques include SMAS plication, traction or excision, which increases discrepancy between the envelope, the skin and the core, the SMAS. As skin excision is poorly efficient because performed posteriorly, far from the anterior skin excess located at the medial neck, the association to SMAS retraction exacerbates the gradient difference between envelop and core. This analysis shows that it is paramount to preserve the SMAS. (1) The sub-skin dissection has to be executed moving beyond the marionette fold and the paramedian neck bands; (2) no action is performed on the SMAS, only an horizontal section of the platysma at the hyoid height that will avoid platysma band recurrence. A botulinum toxin injection performed herein just after, blocks muscle regeneration; (3) the skin is pulled backward with a clear posterior transposition to the platysma. The skin at the cervico-mental angle and all along the cervico-mental crease is fixed to the deep cervical fascia, in the gap between the edges of the sectioned platysma, blocking muscle recreation. A resorbable barbed thread is used, with a first bite made at the cervico-mental angle through the deep cervical fascia then in the direction of the mastoid, with long bites through the deep cervical fascia versus short subcutaneous bites. Thanks to this strong shift, the cervico-mental crease is definitely recreated with no need of pre-auricular skin tension. Thirty-two patients have been operated with this technique on a one-year period. The results are a lot more stable and swelling is lowered down to the minimum.

BACKGROUND: To report a case of sutureless scleral-fixated hydrophilic intraocular lens (FIL SSF IOL, Soleko, Italy) opacification following pars plana vitrectomy surgery using sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) for traumatic lens luxation associated with retinal detachment. CASE PRESENTATION: A 77-year-old woman was referred to our emergency department after blunt trauma in her right eye. At the ophthalmic evaluation, visual acuity was hand movement, biomicroscopy showed pseudoexfoliation syndrome and a traumatic lens luxation in the vitreous chamber. The patient underwent pars plana vitrectomy, subluxated cataract explantation, and FIL SSF IOL implant. During surgery, an inferior retinal detachment was encountered, requiring 20% SF6 gas tamponade. No adverse events were encountered. One month postoperatively, visual acuity (BCVA) improved to 0,3 logMAR. At the 3-month follow-up, the patient presented with BCVA of 0,5 logMAR, and biomicroscopy showed a minimal IOL opacification. Six months postoperatively, BCVA decreased to 1.0 logMAR, and diffuse, IOL opacification was noted at slit lamp examination. The patient refused any other surgical intervention for IOL exchange. CONCLUSIONS: Although hydrophilic IOL opacification gas related is known, to the best of our knowledge, this is the first case reported in the literature of FIL SSF IOL opacification after pars plana vitrectomy with gas tamponade for retinal detachment.

PURPOSE: Comparing two different sutureless scleral fixation techniques. METHODS: A retrospective study of patients who underwent sutureless scleral fixation IOL from October 2013 to May 2018 at "Luigi Sacco Hospital", University of Milan. Comparison between two groups: Group 1 implanted with a 3-piece ALCON-MA60AC and group 2 implanted with a newly developed single-piece foldable IOL SOLEKO FIL-SSF. Patients underwent a complete preoperative ophthalmic assessment and post-operative evaluation at 1, 3, and 6 months. Vitrectomy was performed in all cases. The two groups were compared for age, axial length, and lens status at baseline. Visual acuity, refractive results, surgical time, and post-operative complications were recorded. RESULTS: Thirty-one eyes were included: group 1, 15 eyes of 15 patients, and group 2, 16 eyes of 14 patients. No difference was found in visual acuity. Mean refractive error was 1D in both groups (group 1 1.01D, group 2 1.09D), but spherical equivalent was more often moved toward negative values and induced astigmatism was greater in the 3-piece group (group 1 1.91D [SD ± 2.07], group 2 0.67D [SD ± 0.88] P = 0.04). Surgical procedure was faster in group 2 (mean time difference 21', P = 0.01*). New displacement occurred in 5 cases (33%) of group 1 and in no cases of group 2 (P = 0.01*). Post-operative bleeding was registered only in group 1 (20%), but the difference was not statistically significant. CONCLUSIONS: The group 2 IOL gives in our sample better results due to less post-operative astigmatism and reducing dislocation and bleeding during follow-up. Surgical technique appeared easier and faster: the specifically designed IOL seems to be a feasible solution for sutureless scleral fixation.

Minimal residual disease (MRD) assessment is of high clinical relevance in patients with mantle cell lymphoma (MCL). In mature B-cell malignancies, the presence of somatic hypermutations (SHM) in Variable-Diversity-Joining Heavy chain (VDJH) rearrangements leads to frequent mismatches between primers, probes, and the target, thus impairing tumor cells quantification. Alternative targets, such as immunoglobulin kappa-deleting-element (IGK-Kde) rearrangements, might be suitable for MRD detection. We aimed at evaluating the applicability of IGK-Kde rearrangements for MRD quantification in MCL patients by real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RQ-PCR)/digital-droplet-PCR (ddPCR). IGK screening was performed on bone marrow samples from two cohorts: the first from Turin (22 patients enrolled in the FIL-MCL0208 trial, NCT02354313) and the second from Rome (15 patients). IGK-Kde rearrangements were found in 76% (28/37) of cases, representing the sole molecular marker in 73% (8/11) of IGH-BCL1/IGH negative cases. MRD RQ-PCR monitoring was possible in 57% (16/28) of cases, showing a 100% concordance with the conventional targets. However, the frequent background amplification affected the sensitivity of the assay, that was lower in MCL compared to acute lymphoblastic leukemia and in line with multiple myeloma published results. ddPCR had a good concordance with RQ-PCR and it might help to identify false positive/negative results. From a clinical perspective, we suggest that IGK-Kde can be a candidate target for MRD monitoring and deserves a validation of its predictive value in prospective MCL series.

Many studies show that lifespans of various model organisms can be extended by limiting the quantities of nutrients that are necessary for proliferation. In Schizosaccharomyces pombe, the Ecl1 family genes have been associated with lifespan control and are necessary for cell responses to nutrient depletion, but their functions and mechanisms of action remain uncharacterized. Herein, we show that leucine depletion extends the chronological lifespan (CLS) of leucine-auxotrophic cells. Furthermore, depletion of leucine extended CLS and caused cell miniaturization and cell cycle arrest at the G1 phase, and all of these processes depended on Ecl1 family genes. Although depletion of leucine raises the expression of ecl1+ by about 100-fold in leucine-auxotrophic cells, these conditions did not affect ecl1+ expression in leucine-auxotrophic fil1 mutants that were isolated in deletion set screens using 79 mutants disrupting a transcription factor. Fil1 is a GATA-type zinc finger transcription factor that reportedly binds directly to the upstream regions of ecl1+ and ecl2+. Accordingly, we suggest that Ecl1 family genes are induced in response to environmental stresses, such as oxidative stress and heat stress, or by nutritional depletion of nitrogen or sulfur sources or the amino acid leucine. We also propose that these genes play important roles in the maintenance of cell survival until conditions that favor proliferation are restored.

In 2009, the four laboratories of the Fondazione Italiana Linfomi (FIL) minimal residual disease (MRD) Network started a collaborative effort to harmonize and standardize their methodologies at the national level, performing quality control (QC) rounds for follicular lymphoma (FL) and mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) MRD assessment. In 16 QC rounds between 2010 and 2017, the four laboratories received 208 bone marrow (BM) samples (126 FL; 82 MCL); 187 were analyzed, according to the EuroMRD Consortium guidelines, by both nested (NEST) polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and real-time quantitative (RQ) PCR for BCL2/IGH MBR or IGHV rearrangements. Here, we aimed at analyzing the samples that challenged the interlaboratory reproducibility and data interpretation. Overall, 156/187 BM samples (83%) were concordantly classified as NEST+/RQ+ or NEST-/RQ- by all the four laboratories. The remaining 31 samples (17%) resulted alternatively positive and negative in the interlaboratory evaluations, independently of the method and the type of rearrangement, and were defined "borderline" (brd) samples: 12 proved NEST brd/RQ brd, 7 NEST-/RQ brd, 10 NEST brd/RQ positive not quantifiable (PNQ), and 2 NEST brd/RQ-. Results did not change even increasing the number of replicates/sample. In 6/31 brd samples, droplet digital PCR (ddPCR) was tested and showed no interlaboratory discordance. Despite the high interlaboratory reproducibility in the MRD analysis obtained and maintained by the QC round strategy, samples with the lowest MRD levels can still represent a challenge: 17% (31/187) of our samples showed discordant results in interlaboratory assessments, with 6.4% (12/187) remained brd even applying the two methods. Thus, although representing a minority, brd samples are still problematic, especially when a clinically oriented interpretation of MRD results is required. Alternative, novel methods such as ddPCR and next-generation sequencing have the potential to overcome the current limitations.

α-Thalassemia (α-thal) is one of the most common genetic diseases in Thailand. Homozygosity of α-thal-1 (- -/- -) and compound heterozygosity of α-thal-1/α-thal-2 (- -/-α) leads to Hb Bart's (γ4) hydrops fetalis and Hb H (ß4) disease, respectively. In order to better control and provide prevention of α-thal disease, the prevalence of α-thal-1 carriers and the types of genotypes in the Thai population should be known. A 7-year retrospective study, employing multiplex gap-polymerase chain reaction (gap-PCR) of 31,632 blood samples from Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, Bangkok, revealed an α-thal-1 carrier rate of 14.40% with the - -(SEA) (NG_000006.1: g.26264_45564del19301), - -(THAI) (NG_000006.1: g.10664_44164del33501) and - -(FIL) (NG_000006.1: g.11684_43534del31851) genotypes, constituting frequencies of 14.21, 0.18 and 0.01%, respectively. Although the - -(FIL) genotype is rare in the Thailand, its detection should be included in future α-thal screening programs.

Information on dietary composition is vitally important for elite athletes to optimise their performance and recovery, which requires valid tools. The aim of the present study was to investigate the validity of assessing protein intake using three web-based 24-h recalls and questionnaires, by comparing these with three urinary N excretions on the same day. A total of forty-seven Dutch elite top athletes, both disabled and non-disabled, aged between 18 and 35 years, with a BMI of 17·5-31 kg/m2, exercising >12 h/week were recruited. Estimated mean dietary protein intake was 109·6 (sd 33·0) g/d by recalls and questionnaires v. 141·3 (sd 38·2) g/d based on N excretions in urine; the difference was 25·5 (sd 21·3) % between the methods (P<0·05). We found a reasonably good association between methods for protein intake of 0·65 (95 % CI 0·45, 0·79). On an individual level, under-reporting was larger with higher protein intakes than with lower intakes. No significant differences were found in reporting absolute differences between subcategories (sex, under-reporting, BMI, collection of recalls within a certain amount of time and using protein supplements or not). In conclusion, combined, multiple, 24-h recalls and questionnaires underestimated protein intake in these young elite athletes more than that reported for non-athlete populations. The method proved to be suitable for ranking athletes according to their protein intake as needed in epidemiological studies. On an individual level, the magnitude of underestimation was about equal for all athletes except for those with very high protein intakes.

Families and genera assigned to Tremellomycetes have been mainly circumscribed by morphology and for the yeasts also by biochemical and physiological characteristics. This phenotype-based classification is largely in conflict with molecular phylogenetic analyses. Here a phylogenetic classification framework for the Tremellomycetes is proposed based on the results of phylogenetic analyses from a seven-genes dataset covering the majority of tremellomycetous yeasts and closely related filamentous taxa. Circumscriptions of the taxonomic units at the order, family and genus levels recognised were quantitatively assessed using the phylogenetic rank boundary optimisation (PRBO) and modified general mixed Yule coalescent (GMYC) tests. In addition, a comprehensive phylogenetic analysis on an expanded LSU rRNA (D1/D2 domains) gene sequence dataset covering as many as available teleomorphic and filamentous taxa within Tremellomycetes was performed to investigate the relationships between yeasts and filamentous taxa and to examine the stability of undersampled clades. Based on the results inferred from molecular data and morphological and physiochemical features, we propose an updated classification for the Tremellomycetes. We accept five orders, 17 families and 54 genera, including seven new families and 18 new genera. In addition, seven families and 17 genera are emended and one new species name and 185 new combinations are proposed. We propose to use the term pro tempore or pro tem. in abbreviation to indicate the species names that are temporarily maintained.
RESUMO
The Arabidopsis fruit forms a seedpod that develops from the fertilized gynoecium. It is mainly comprised of an ovary in which three distinct tissues can be differentiated: the valves, the valve margins and the replum. Separation of cells at the valve margin allows for the valves to detach from the replum and thus dispersal of the seeds. Valves and valve margins are located in lateral positions whereas the replum is positioned medially and retains meristematic properties resembling the shoot apical meristem (SAM). Members of the WUSCHEL-related homeobox family have been involved in stem cell maintenance in the SAM, and within this family, we found that WOX13 is expressed mainly in meristematic tissues including the replum. We also show that wox13 loss-of-function mutations reduce replum size and enhance the phenotypes of mutants affected in the replum identity gene RPL. Conversely, misexpression of WOX13 produces, independently from BP and RPL, an oversized replum and valve defects that closely resemble those of mutants in JAG/FIL activity genes. Our results suggest that WOX13 promotes replum development by likely preventing the activity of the JAG/FIL genes in medial tissues. This regulation seems to play a role in establishing the gradient of JAG/FIL activity along the medio-lateral axis of the fruit critical for proper patterning. Our data have allowed us to incorporate the role of WOX13 into the regulatory network that orchestrates fruit patterning.

OBJECTIVE: Double-pigtail stent intolerance reduces the quality of life of patients. By decreasing the amount of material within the bladder, it should be possible to attenuate the symptoms linked to the stent. We evaluated the tolerance of a new stent with a dedicated questionnaire. PATIENTS ET METHODS: The major innovation of the pigtail suture stent (PSS and MiniPSS) was in the replacement of the lower part of the double-pigtail stent with a 0.3 F suture. One hundred and eight patients agreed to be fitted with a PSS. The double-pigtail stents of 24 patients complaining strongly of symptoms were replaced with PSS (group 1) and sixty-eight other patients were fitted directly with the PSS after an endoscopic intervention on the ureter (groups 2 and 3). Sixteen patients with non-obstructive kidney stone received MiniPSS (group 4). RESULTS: Completed questionnaires were obtained from 94 patients. In group 1, the replacement of the double-pigtail stent with a PSS significantly decreased urinary symptom scores (34.4±9.0 vs 20.3±7.4, P<0.0000007), and pain scores (10.1±5.1 vs 4.8±3.2, P=0.0001). The scores of the two first groups fitted with a PSS were similar. Following PSS or MiniPSS implantation, a clear dilation of the ureteral meatus was probably induced by the sutures, facilitating the introduction of an ureteroscope or a flexible ureteroscope sheath (12 F). Following extracorporeal shockwave lithotripsy, the stone fragments gradually slid down the PSS sutures, without renal colic. CONCLUSION: The PSS seems to improve the tolerance of ureteral stent. Unexpectedly, following PSS implantation, we observe a clear dilation of the ureter. We believe that use of a double-pigtail stent should no longer be considered the only way to drain the ureter. Instead, the form of the stent should depend on the patient's disease. LEVEL OF EVIDENCE: 5.

Efficient and economical separation of C2H6/C2H4 is an imperative and extremely challenging process in the petrochemical industry. The C2H6-selective adsorbents with high working capacity and high selectivity are highly desirable from a practical application standpoint. In this study, we constructed a database of fluorinated ionic liquid@covalent organic frameworks (FIL@COFs) and screened out the high-performing FIL@COFs for C2H6-selective separation. Utilizing the optimal machine learning (ML) algorithm (XGBoost) and hyperparameters, we further revealed the key factors influencing the separation performance. The multiscale simulation not only validated the prediction accuracy of ML but also demonstrated that adjusting the largest cavity diameter of COFs with FILs could yield FIL@COFs with high performance for C2H6-selective separation. Our work provides essential guidance for designing new FIL@COF adsorbents for value-added gas purification.
RESUMO
PURPOSE: To report three cases of postoperative opacification of sutureless scleral-fixed hydrophilic intraocular lens (FIL SSF IOL, Soleko, Italy) after gas tamponade. Two cases occurred after pars plana vitrectomy and one case after Descemet membrane endothelial keratoplasty. CASE REPORT: Two diabetic patients underwent a FIL SSF IOL implantation after posterior capsular rupture during cataract surgery. Rhegmatogenous retinal detachment (RRD) was observed in one patient during the initial surgery. A second patient developed a RRD five months after surgery. Both RRDs were treated with pars plana vitrectomy and perfluoroethane (C2F6) gas tamponade. A few days after the surgery, C2F6 was observed in the anterior chamber of both patients. Two months after gas tamponade, opacification of the anterior surface of the IOL was observed. The third patient was a 74-year-old woman, who underwent a combined Descemet membrane endothelial keratoplasty (DMEK) and FIL SSF IOL implantation. Two rebubblings with sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) retreatments were required due to corneal graft detachment. One month later, an opacification of the anterior surface of the IOL was observed. Explantation with implantation of iris-claw IOL was decided, which resulted in an improvement of BVCA. Analysis of the IOL showed a positive Von Kossa staining, indicating calcification of the IOL. We performed a review of all the cases of FIL SSF IOL implantation in our centers. The overall rate of FIL SSF IOL opacification was 2.1% (3/140). Amongst patients treated with gas tamponade, the rate of opacification was 27.3% (3/11). Although FIL SSF IOL implantation appears to be an effective option for the treatment of aphakia, caution should be exercised regarding the risk of opacification following gas tamponade, especially since these patients are at risk of retinal detachment.

The stamen produces pollen grains for pollination in higher plants. Coordinated development of four microsporangia in the stamen is essential for normal fertility. The roles of miR165/166-directed pathways in the establishment of adaxial-abaxial polarity have been well defined in leaves. However, the molecular mechanism underlying the adaxial-abaxial polarity of the stamen is elusive. Here it is reported that HYPONASTIC LEAVES1 (HYL1), a general regulator of microRNA (miRNA) biogenesis, plays an essential role in establishing the stamen architecture of the four microsporangia in Arabidopsis thaliana. In stamens, HYL1 and miR165/6 expression are progressively restricted to the lateral region, microsporangia, microspore mother cells, and microspores, whereas HD-ZIP III genes are preferentially expressed in the middle region, vascular bundle, and stomium. Loss of HYL1 leads to the formation of two rather than four microsporangia in each stamen. In the stamen of the hyl1 mutant, miR165/6 accumulation is reduced, whereas miR165/6-targeted HD-ZIP III genes are up-regulated and FILAMENTOUS FLOWER (FIL) is down-regulated; and, specifically, REVOLUTA (REV) is overexpressed in the adaxial region and FIL is underexpressed in the abaxial regions, concomitant with the aberrance of the two inner microsporangia and partial adaxialization of the connectives. Genetic analysis reveals that FIL works downstream of HYL1, and the defects in hyl1 stamens are partially rescued by rev-9 or phv-5 phb-6 alleles. These results suggest that HYL1 modulates inner microsporangia and stamen architecture by repression of HD-ZIP III genes and promotion of the FIL gene through miR165/6. Thus, the role of HYL1 in establishment of stamen architecture provides insight into the molecular mechanism of male fertility.

RESUMO
PURPOSE: Brow ptosis can interfere with blepharoplasty results and can be corrected using several techniques. The present study was performed to compare two techniques for brow suspension, both with concomitant upper eyelid blepharoplasty. METHOD: A prospective, interventional, randomized study involving 27 female patients was performed to compare the effects of two different techniques of brow suspension: eyebrow suspension with nylon thread (ESN) and internal browpexy fixation (IBF), both combined with upper lid blepharoplasty. Qualitative assessment was carried out using a questionnaire, and quantitative angular measurement analysis of the brow position was performed using digital photographs taken with a Vectra H1 camera before, 60, and 120 days after surgery. The data were transferred to an Excel table and statistically analyzed. RESULTS: ESN was performed in 14 patients and IBF in 13 patients. Both groups were homogeneous in terms of age. The main preoperative complaints were excess skin on the upper eyelid (81.4%) and reduced visual field (59.2%) in both groups. Most of the patients expected aesthetic improvement, and the surgical results were considered satisfactory for all of them. There was no significant difference between ESN and IBF in the quantitative evaluation of eyebrow position. CONCLUSION: Both ESN and IBF resulted in a high degree of patient satisfaction. Both techniques provided similar brow suspension, emphasizing that IBF is technically easier to perform and produces less scarring.

Metagenomic next-generation sequencing (mNGS) has changed the diagnosis landscape of lower respiratory tract infections (LRIs). With the development of newer sequencing assays, it is now possible to assess all microorganisms in a sample using a single mNGS analysis. The applications of mNGS for LRIs span a wide range of areas including LRI diagnosis, airway microbiome analyses, human host response analyses, and prediction of drug resistance. mNGS is currently in an exciting transitional period; however, before implementation in a clinical setting, there are several barriers to overcome, such as the depletion of human nucleic acid, discrimination between colonization and infection, high costs, and so on. Aim of Review: In this review, we summarize the potential applications and challenges of mNGS in the diagnosis of LRIs to promote the integration of mNGS into the management of patients with respiratory tract infections in a clinical setting. Key Scientific Concepts of Review: Once its analytical validation, clinical validation and clinical utility been demonstrated, mNGS will become an important tool in the field of infectious disease diagnosis.

Leaves start to develop at the peripheral zone of the shoot apical meristem. Thereafter, symmetric and flattened leaf laminae are formed. These events are simultaneously regulated by auxin, transcription factors, and epigenetic regulatory factors. However, the relationships among these factors are not well known. In this study, we conducted protein-protein interaction assays to show that our previously reported Leaf and Flower Related (LFR) physically interacted with SWI3B, a component of the ATP-dependent chromatin remodeling SWI/SNF complex in Arabidopsis. The results of truncated analysis and transgenic complementation showed that the N-terminal domain (25-60 amino acids) of LFR was necessary for its interaction with SWI3B and was crucial for LFR functions in Arabidopsis leaf development. Genetic results showed that the artificial microRNA knockdown lines of SWI3B (SWI3B-amic) had a similar upward-curling leaf phenotype with that of LFR loss-of-function mutants. ChIP-qPCR assay was conducted to show that LFR and SWI3B co-targeted the promoters of YABBY1/FILAMENTOUS FLOWER (YAB1/FIL) and IAA carboxyl methyltransferase 1 (IAMT1), which were misexpressed in lfr and SWI3B-amic mutants. In addition, the association between LFR and the FIL and IAMT1 loci was partly hampered by the knockdown of SWI3B. These data suggest that LFR interacts with the chromatin-remodeling complex component, SWI3B, and influences the transcriptional expression of the important transcription factor, FIL, and the auxin metabolism enzyme, IAMT1, in flattened leaf lamina development.
RESUMO
CONTEXT: Microleakage is the major cause for the failure of dental restorations, especially in Class V cavities, as margins of such restorations are generally located in dentin or cementum. Microleakage evaluation is necessary as a means of evaluation of the marginal integrity of restorative materials. This would assist in developing techniques and materials that would reduce damage caused by the failure of the restorative marginal seal. AIM: The aim of this study is to analyze and compare the marginal integrity among three esthetic restorative materials, namely GC Fuji II LC, GC G-Aenial anterior composite resin, and GC Equia forte fil. SETTING AND DESIGN: Sixty orthodontically extracted caries-free premolar teeth with Class V restorations were divided into three groups. Microleakage was measured using an ordinal scale of 0-4, as given by Khera and Chan, in increasing order of dye penetration, which was observed under a microscope. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Study was conducted in sound human extracted premolars in which Standardized Class V cavities were prepared. Teeth were randomly and equally assigned to three groups (GC Fuji II LC, GC G-Aenial anterior composite resin, and GC Equia forte fil). Teeth were sectioned longitudinally into two halves using diamond discs and the sectioned halves of the teeth were evaluated for dye penetration under stereomicroscope. STATISTICAL ANALYSIS USED: Intergroup comparison of mean dye penetration scores were compared using the Kruskal-Wallis test along with post hoc pairwise comparison by Mann Whitney U test. The level of statistical significance was set at 0.05. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: All the three groups (GC Fuji II LC, GC G-Aenial anterior composite resin, and GC Equia forte fil) tested showed microleakage at the tooth restoration interface. It was evident that microleakage was found to be highest with the Fuji II LC, both at occlusal and cervical levels. GC Equia forte exhibited the best performance in limiting microleakage around the restoration margins.
RESUMO
The reported use of 3D printing in hand and wrist rehabilitation has been mostly limited to feasibility studies and case series so far. Some of the reasons are the lack of purpose-built scanning applications, complicated digital design software, and lengthy and error-prone printing processes. We propose a multidisciplinary workflow for in-hospital mass production of patient-specific 3D-printed devices for hand and wrist rehabilitation.
