Aim: The study is based on the self-determination theory and aims to investigate the mediating role of green intrinsic motivation and the moderating role of green shared vision in the association between frontline managers' green mindfulness and green creative behavior to leverage their capacity to think creatively and act sustainably. Methods: The study employs a time-lagged, multi-source research methodology to collect data from frontline managers of service businesses in the tourism and hospitality industry. Data are analyzed using SmartPLS Structural Equation Model to evaluate the structural and measurement models. The authors evaluated the measurement model by employing the criteria of internal consistency: reliability and Cronbach's alpha, validity: convergent and discriminant validity; and the structural model using the path coefficient, coefficient of determination, predictive relevance, and goodness-of-fit metrics. Results: Our findings indicate that green mindfulness significantly improves frontline managers' green creative behavior. Additionally, green intrinsic motivation mediates the connection between green mindfulness and green creative behavior. In addition, the direct effect of green mindfulness on green intrinsic motivation as well as the indirect effect of green mindfulness on green creative behavior through green intrinsic motivation, are both significantly moderated by green shared vision. Discussion: To the best of the authors' knowledge, this is one of the few efforts that outstretch the boundary conditions of green mindfulness and green creative behavior through the mediating role of green intrinsic motivation and the moderating role of green shared vision.

This research aims to examine how green extrinsic and intrinsic motivations individually and jointly affect green purchase intention and actual behavior, drawing on the integration of self-determination theory and the theory of planned behavior. Based upon a sample of 4062 consumers in Vietnam, we methodologically adopted a polynomial regression with response surface analysis to shed the light on how a higher degree of eco-friendly consumption intention and behavior is synthesized from the balance between high green extrinsic and intrinsic motivations. Conversely, a large imbalance between green extrinsic and intrinsic motivations will lower the level of environmentally friendly consumption. Additionally, this study indicates that green purchase intention is the most important predictor of green purchase behavior, and that green purchase intention significantly mediates the insolated and joint effects of green extrinsic and intrinsic motivations on eco-friendly consumption behavior.

Tourism and hospitality are at a crossroads. The growth and developmental potential of these industries indicate the economic benefits for an associated nation at one end. However, the environmental issues related to tourism and hospitality create challenges for the administration at another end. In most cases, a sheer amount of carbon emission in hospitality lies with energy consumption, especially electrical energy. However, past studies on environmental management have mainly focused on the supply side of energy (production) and left the terrain of the demand side (consumption by individuals) unattended. Recently, behavioral scientists have indicated that corporate social responsibility (CSR) actions of a firm can promote sustainable behavior among individuals, including employees. We tend to spark this discussion from an energy consumption perspective by investigating the relationship between CSR and energy-related pro-environmental behavior of employees (EPB) in the hospitality sector of a developing country (Pakistan). To understand the underlying mechanism of this relationship, this study proposes the mediating role of green intrinsic motivation (GIM) and the moderating role of human emotions, e.g., employee admiration (ADM). We developed a theoretical model for which the data were gathered from different hotel employees with the help of a questionnaire. We used structural equation modeling for hypotheses testing. The empirical evidence indicated that CSR significantly predicts EPB, and there is a mediating role of GIM. The study also confirmed that ADM moderates this relationship. The findings of this study will be helpful for hotel administration to understand the profound importance of CSR-based actions to promote energy-related sustainable behavior among employees, e.g., EPB. Other implications for theory and practice have been highlighted in the main text of this draft.

Despite accumulated evidence from previous studies that green creativity is highly emphasized in various industries, limited research has been conducted in the context of public sectors. Drawing on the dynamic componential model of creativity and innovation in organizations, this paper aims to propose and sequentially test the relationship between green training and employees' green creativity through green values and green intrinsic motivation. Based on the data collected in Chinese public sectors (N = 464) at two different time points, the results indicate that green training is positively related to green creativity. Moreover, this relationship is sequentially mediated by green values and green intrinsic motivation. The results in our study advance the emergent literature on green human resource management in the public sector for the practical applications of training and creativity in terms of green management.
