The present study has demonstrated that the treatment of patients with erosive-ulcerative lesions in the gastroduodenal system at the stages of after-treatment and rehabilitation based on the combined application of natural curative factors and essential phospholipids makes to possible to increase the efficiency of therapy by 18-20% compared with control.

The authors presented the results of a follow-up of 2 groups of patients with gastroduodenal pathology diagnosed in childhood: the patients (96 persons) in the 1st group had received staged rehabilitation treatment, no staged rehabilitation measures had been used in the 2nd group (86 patients). A differentiated step-by-step complex of therapeutic and preventive measures at the onset of disease brought about positive results in 94.1% of the patients in the 1st group, whereas routine therapy without therapeutic and preventive measures at the time of remission resulted in recurrence in 72.1% (62 patients) in the 2nd group. The authors arrived at a conclusion that early detection and therapy of exacerbations of peptic ulcer and chronic ulcer-like gastroduodenitis in childhood prevented the progression of disease in young patients that was of great social importance.

Methods of endogenous stimulation of the exocrinous pancreatic function in chronic primary gastroduodenitis were used. It was expressed in parallel gastric hyperchlorhydria, hyperproduction of pancreatic hydrocarbonates at initial stages of chronic primary gastroduodenitis and reduction of their excretion with diverse changes of the activity of pancreatic enzymes in prolonged and persistent course of the disease.

Changes were studied in intragastric pH with the aid of micromethods of topo-pH-metry in 46 patients presenting with hypo- and hyperacidic syndrome exposed to artificial mountain air (AMA) therapy. The gas mixture containing 14% oxygen was formed by using molecular sieves. AMA was found out to have a significant sanogenic effect: it makes for acid production in patients with hypoacidic syndrome and reduces the above production in those patients presenting with hyperacidic syndrome AMA therapy administered along with the judicious employment of blockers, Hs-histamine receptors will, we believe, help in alleviating and dispelling the withdrawal syndrome.

90 patients with chronic gastroduodenitis (41, 45 and 14 cases with primary, secondary and erosive disease, respectively) were exposed to SMC + ultrasound. The effect was assessed in relation to clinical and endoscopic pictures, gastric acid production, functions of the liver and pancreas, immune status. Two control groups received SMC and ultrasound separately. The response was observed in 92.6% in the study group against 70% and 75% of the patients in the control groups on SMC and ultrasound, respectively.

100 children with chronic gastroduodenitis and ulcer received laser treatment and dalargin electrophoresis. The controls received conventional chemotherapy. The treatments demonstrated similar effectivity as shown by clinical, endoscopic and special examinations, against Helicobacter pylori, in particular.

[The effect of nitrogen silicide thermal mineral water on stomach function in gastroduodenal pathology]. / Vliianie azotno-kremnistoi ternmal'noi mineral'noi vody na funktsional'noe sostoianie zheludka pri gastroduodenal'noi patologii.

Patients with ulcer, hyperacid and normal acid gastritis were given nitrogen silicate mineral water from Annensk thermal springs. The water was found to inhibit acid-pepsin-forming function and to improve gastric motility and evacuation. Acceptable fluoride concentration and not a single case of the disease aggravation make the above mineral water suitable for rehabilitation of patients with ulcer and gastritis.

Clinical and special tests have found that sinusoidal modulated currents in childhood chronic gastroduodenitis produce positive changes in clinical symptoms, secretory and motor functions of the gastroduodenal zones, endoscopic picture, gastroduodenal mucosa morphology, immunologic indices, associated diseases. The authors have developed differential indications for treatment of children with gastroduodenitis using sinusoidal modulated currents.

[The combined action of sinusoidal modulated currents and ultrasound in the treatment of chronic gastroduodenitis in children]. / Sochetannoe vozdeistvie sinusoidal'nymi modulirovannymi tokami i ul'trazvukom v lechenii khronicheskikh gastroduodenitov u detei.

The paper summarizes the results of clinical observations and special examinations conducted in 45 children with chronic gastroduodenitis by using combined exposure to sinusoidal modulated currents and ultrasound. The dynamics of clinical symptoms, functional status of the stomach and its adjacent gastroduodenal organs, endoscopic findings, morphological status of the gastroduodenal mucosa, gastric mucosal dissemination of Helicobacter pylori, systemic and regional humoral immunological parameters, abdominal echography indicate high therapeutical efficiency of the combined therapy as compared to that performed in controls (without physiotherapy). Mechanisms of formation of therapeutical action are clarified, differentiated indications are defined.
