Prevention ought to begin the whole life and its main aims are achieve maximal peak bone mass, stabilize bone mass in adults and slow bone loss in elderly. The most important are long-term high diet calcium consumption, physical activity avoiding secondary reasons of osteoporosis and wide use of hormone replacement therapy.
