Main a preliminary study of the toxicology of the volcanic fallout from the 1980 eruption of Mt. St. Helens. The results indicate that the volcanic ash has very litte capacity for producing acute toxicity following ingestion by domesticated animals. Most of which will recover from exposure to the ash. A few exeptions exist: Milk Production is down due to loss of apetite of dairy cows and honey production is expected to be severely reduced since a high percentage of bee colonies were wiped out
