Resumo
The objective was to characterize the dairy farms in the municipality of Quixeramobim-CE. They were conducted 18 interviews with randomly selected properties. The most of production is destined for the local market (55%), for the regional market (33%) and 11.2% of own consumption. At the time of milking 94.35% adopt hygienic habits, such as washing hands and udders, and only 5.65% do not adopt hygienic practices in milking. The milk is marketed in natura (44.4%), cold milk (44.4%) and 11.2% otherwise. The milk is transported in plastic bottles (44.4%), in the tanker (33.3%) and in cans (22.4%). The most properties adopted cleaning wounds (83.25%) and 16.65% had adopted other measures. It concluded that the properties adopt hygiene practices during milking important to improve the quality of milk produced and marketed in the city of Quixeramobim.

This study aimed to evaluate the pregnancy rate in cyclic lactating dairy cows inseminated at fixed timeusing eCG in the withdrawal of progesterone implant. The experimental design was a randomized blocks, twotreatments with 32 repetitions for G1 and 31 repetitions for G2. The G1 control group: cows with hormonalprotocol with the use of eCG; G2: cows with hormonal protocol without using eCG. The study presented to theGroup eCG with pregnancy rate of 28.13%, while no eCG group had a 16.13% pregnancy rate. The statisticaldifference between the groups was not significant (p = 0.2522). In conclusion, the use of eCG had no influenceon the pregnancy rate.(AU)

We evaluated the biostimulation and temporary weaning aiming follicular dynamics, conception rateand pregnancy rate in Nellore cows. Are used two groups of 75 cows. NESD: control without biostimulation andcalf at foot and BEDT56: biostimulation and temporary weaning for 56 hours. The interval between thebeginning of the treatment and emergency surge in days was 3.37 ± 0.50 for NESD and 3,40 ± 0,27 for BEDT56.The gap between the implant removal and ovulation in time was 60,85 ± 3,10 (NESD) and 66,75 ± 1,35(BEDT56). The larger diameter of the ovulatory follicle of the new follicular wave, cows with a diameter >8,0mm, was 12,1 ± 1,0 mm in NESD and BEDT56 15,2 ± 0,7 mm. The conception rate and pregnancy 37,3%(28/75) in NESD and 69,3% (52/75) in BEDT56. The association of biostimulation and temporary weaningincreases follicular development, conception rate and pregnancy rate in Nellore cows.(AU)
