Resumo
The intensification of human activities, such as the increase of cities and the expansion of agricultural and livestock demands, have led to the destruction of the natural habitat of birds of prey. These actions demonstrate little or insufficient information on the part of the population about their importance in nature and the relevance of conserving them. The present work has the objective of reporting the case of reception of a hawk-carijó (Rupornis magnirostris) sent by the Fire Department of Magé to National Park of Organs Saw (PARNASO), with a purposeful court history through human action of all the specimen feather grafting procedure for its respective retrieval of the wing capacity and the length of time that the procedure has shortened its stay in captivity.(AU)
