Resumo
The aim of this study was to evaluate the thermal gradients of Anglo nubian goatling fed artificially and maintained under the same environmental conditions in semiarid. Were used 22 goatling aged 90 days and in this experiment a completely randomized design was used. The rectal temperature, respiratory rate and the surface temperature of the animals were measured. The thermal characterization of the environment was realized, through the Black Globe Temperature Humidity Index. The thermal gradients were evaluated by the difference between the rectal temperature and surface temperature (TRTS) and the difference between the surface temperature and the ambient temperature (TSTA). The values found for the Black Globe Temperature Humidity Index were 79.37 C and for the thermal gradients were 3.6 C and 5.3 C for TRTS and TSTA respectively. The Anglo-nubian goatling showed good adaptability to semi-arid region.(AU)O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar os gradientes térmicos de cabritos Anglo-nubianos alimentados artificialmente e mantidos sob as mesmas condições ambientais e de manejo criados no semiárido. Foram utilizados 22 cabritos com idade de 90 dias, distribuídas em um delineamento inteiramente casualizado, com 22 repetições. Avaliou-se a temperatura retal, frequência respiratória e temperatura superficial dos animais, além da caracterização térmica do ambiente, através do índice de temperatura de globo negro e umidade (ITGU). Os gradientes térmicos foram avaliados através da diferença entre a temperatura retal e a temperatura superficial (TRTS) e a diferença entre a temperatura superficial e a temperatura ambiente (TSTA). Os valores encontrados para os gradientes térmicos sob a condição de ITGU de 79,37°C foram 3,6°C e 5,3°C para o TRTS e TSTA respectivamente. Os cabritos da raça Anglo-nubiana demonstraram boa adaptabilidade à região semiárida.(AU)
