Resumo

This trial was done with the main objetive of evaluating the productive behavior of four treatments termed systems of conduction for the melon crops cultivated inside polyethylene greenhouse. The four systems of conduction or treatments had the following composition: system 1, one stem with ramification without pruning; 2, one stem without ramifications with pruning; 3, two stems with pruning and 4, four stems with pruning. Results showed the conduction system 3 as the best for melon crop, followed by treatments 1 and 2. The highest melon productivity per square meter 9.4kg was given by the treatment 3. The adoption of the pruning technique improved median weight of the melon fruit. Treatment 4, reduced the number of fruits per plant and the medium size of the fruits. Also, the negative effect of the treatments 3 and 4 regard to delay in fruit mature and harvest were observed.

Foi conduzido um experimento com o objetivo de avaliar o comportamento produtivo de quatro sistemas de condução do meloeiro, cultivado em estufa de polietileno. Os quatro sistemas de condução ou tratamentos tinham a seguinte composição: sistema 1, uma haste com ramificações sem poda; sistema 2, uma haste sem ramificações, com poda; 3, duas hastes com poda e 4, quatro hastes com poda. Os resultados mostraram o sistema de condução 3 como o melhor para o cultivo do meloeiro em estufa, seguido pelos tratamentos 1 e 2. A maior produtividade média de 9,4kg de melão por metro quadrado, foi apresentada pelo sistema 3. A adoção da técnica da poda aumentou o peso médio do fruto. O sistema de condução 4 reduziu o número de frutos por planta e o tamanho médio do fruto. Também foi observado efeito negativo dos tratamentos 3 e 4 retardando a maturação e a colheita dos frutos.
