Resumo
A influência do ambiente sobre a produção animal é de grande importância. Com essa preocupação desenvolveu-se este experimento, procurando avaliar os efeitos do clima (temperatura ambiente e umidade relativa do ar) sobre o comportamento dos animais mantidos em confinamento. Foram utilizados 16 animais mestiços ½ Nelore x ½ Charolês, divididos em dois tratamentos sendo um com e outro sem acesso à sombra. Constatou-se que o ambiente influenciou o consumo de alimento e repouso, sendo este maior no período da tarde.
