Resumo
The comparing study of gross and microscopic lesions described here and those reported by Rubarth and others reveals two identical pictures, so as to allow the diagnosis of H.c.c., although no experimental innoculation has been made. The anatomo-pathological aspect of three cases examined, was dominated by perihepatitis, edema of the gallbladder and haemorrhagic lesions of the ganglions. The leading histological aspect was found in the liver, being characterized by a sero-haeinorrhagic hepatitis with strong regressive changes, and by intranuclear inclusion bodies. The inclusion bodies were seen in the hepatic cells, Kupffer cells, reticular cells of the spleen, in the renal glomeruli, and in one case also in the endotclial cells of the c.n.s. In the Brazilian literature there is no reference to this virosis, it beeing admitted thus that the present article is the first report on the disease in this country.O estudo comparativo das lesões macro e microscópicas aqui descritas e daquelas referidas por Rubarth e outros autores, mostra quadros superponíveis, permitindo assim o diagnóstico de Hepatitis contagiosa canis, embora não tenha sido feita a inoculação experimental. Nos três casos observados, o quadro anátomo-patológico se caracterizou por peri-hepatite fibrinosa, edema da vesícula biliar e lesões hemorrágicas nos gânglios. O quadro microscópico dominante foi observado no fígado, caracterizando-se por uma hepatite sero-hemorrágica com graves alterações regressivas e inclusões intranuclcares. As inclusões intranucleares foram observadas nas células hepáticas, de Kupffer, reticulares do baço, nas células dos glomérulos de Malpighi e cm um caso nas células endoteliais do sistema nervoso central. Não foram encontradas referências a esta virose na literatura nacional, o que permite admitir ser esta a primeira vez que esta doença é assinalada no Brasil.
