Resumo
The chemical composition of "manjuba", Anchoviella lepidentostole (Fowler, 1911), was analyzed, including moisture, protein, fat and ash, from October, 1978 to September, 1979. Data statistically analyzed showed that the chemical composition is influenced by the stage of gonadal maturity. The mean percentages found were: 75.22% moisture, 17.73% protein, 5.06% fat and 2.62% ash.Foram realizadas análises da composição química da manjuba, Anchoviella lepidentostole (Fowler, 1911), abrangendo umidade, proteína, gordura e cinzas, durante o período de outubro de 1978 a setembro de 1979. Os dados foram analisados estatisticamente e observamos que a composição química variou em função da maturidade gonadal. As porcentagens médias encontradas foram: umidade = 75,22%, proteína = 17,73%, gordura=5,06%, e cinzas = 2,62%.
