Working memory, which is foundational to higher cognitive function, is the "sketchpad of volitional control." Successful working memory is the inevitable outcome of the individual's active control and manipulation of thoughts and turning them into internal goals during which the causal brain processes information in real time. However, little is known about the dynamic causality among distributed brain regions behind thought control that underpins successful working memory. In our present study, given that correct responses and incorrect ones did not differ in either contralateral delay activity or alpha suppression, further rooting on the high-temporal-resolution EEG time-varying directed network analysis, we revealed that successful working memory depended on both much stronger top-down connections from the frontal to the temporal lobe and bottom-up linkages from the occipital to the temporal lobe, during the early maintenance period, as well as top-down flows from the frontal lobe to the central areas as the delay behavior approached. Additionally, the correlation between behavioral performance and casual interactions increased over time, especially as memory-guided delayed behavior approached. Notably, when using the network metrics as features, time-resolved multiple linear regression of overall behavioral accuracy was exactly achieved as delayed behavior approached. These results indicate that accurate memory depends on dynamic switching of causal network connections and shifting to more task-related patterns during which the appropriate intervention may help enhance memory.

BACKGROUND: Liver cancer, a common malignancy within the digestive system, presents with a particularly grim prognosis. Within the immune microenvironment, the role of natural killer (NK) cells in liver cancer remains unclear. METHODS: We sourced data on clinical parameters and gene expressions for liver cancer patients from The Cancer Genome Atlas Program database and carried out all analyses using R software and its relevant codes. RESULTS: In our research, we delved into the genes intertwined with NK cells in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Leveraging the QUANTISEQ and MCPCOUNTER algorithms to quantify NK cells, we spotlighted genes vital to the recruitment of NK cells. Among these genes, GDE1, WDFY3, DNAJB14, PKD2, DGAT2, SGMS2 and MKNK2 showed a strong correlation with patient outcomes. We also mapped out the single-cell expression trajectories of these genes within the HCC milieu. From our findings, SGMS2 emerged as a key gene warranting further scrutiny. Our in-depth analysis of SGMS2 shed light on its influence over specific biological pathways, its contribution to the immune landscape and its role in genomic instability within HCC. Drawing from this, we formulated a predictive model rooted in SGMS2-associated genes. This model showcased remarkable precision across both training and validation cohorts. CONCLUSIONS: Overall, our investigation underscored the profound implications of SGMS2, a gene pivotal to NK cell infiltration, in the landscape of HCC, thereby positioning it as a potential linchpin in oncological strategies.

Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) is a new nomenclature proposed in 2023. We aimed to compare the diagnostic efficacy of noninvasive tests (NITs) for advanced fibrosis under different nomenclatures in patients with chronic hepatitis B (CHB). A total of 844 patients diagnosed with CHB and concurrent steatotic liver disease (SLD) by liver biopsy were retrospectively enrolled and divided into four groups. The performances of fibrosis-4 (FIB-4), gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase to platelet ratio index (GPRI), aspartate aminotransferase to platelet ratio index (APRI), and liver stiffness measurement (LSM) were compared among the four groups. The four NITs showed similar diagnostic efficacy for nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), MASLD, and metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) in patients with CHB with advanced fibrosis. LSM showed the most stable accuracy for NAFLD (AUC = 0.842), MASLD (AUC = 0.846), and MAFLD (AUC = 0.863) compared with other NITs (p < 0.05). Among the four NITs, APRI (AUC = 0.841) and GPRI (AUC = 0.844) performed best in patients with CHB & MetALD (p < 0.05). The cutoff value for GPRI in patients with CHB & MetALD was higher than that in the other three groups, while further comparisons of NITs at different fibrosis stages showed that the median GPRI of CHB & MetALD (1.113) at F3-4 was higher than that in the CHB & MASLD group (0.508) (p < 0.05). Current NITs perform adequately in patients with CHB and SLD; however, alterations in cutoff values for CHB & MetALD need to be noted.

Although the electrophysiological event-related potential in face processing (e.g. N170) is widely accepted as a face-sensitivity biomarker that is deficient in children with autism spectrum disorders, the time-varying brain networks during face recognition are still awaiting further investigation. To explore the social deficits in autism spectrum disorder, especially the time-varying brain networks during face recognition, the current study analyzed the N170, cortical activity, and time-varying networks under 3 tasks (face-upright, face-inverted, and house-upright) in autism spectrum disorder and typically developing children. The results revealed a smaller N170 amplitude in autism spectrum disorder compared with typically developing, along with decreased cortical activity mainly in occipitotemporal areas. Concerning the time-varying networks, the atypically stronger information flow and brain network connections across frontal, parietal, and temporal regions in autism spectrum disorder were reported, which reveals greater effort was exerted by autism spectrum disorder to obtain comparable performance to the typically developing children, although the amplitude of N170 was still smaller than that of the typically developing children. Different brain activation states and interaction patterns of brain regions during face processing were discovered between autism spectrum disorder and typically developing. These findings shed light on the face-processing mechanisms in children with autism spectrum disorder and provide new insight for understanding the social dysfunction of autism spectrum disorder.

Human language units are hierarchical, and reading acquisition involves integrating multisensory information (typically from auditory and visual modalities) to access meaning. However, it is unclear how the brain processes and integrates language information at different linguistic units (words, phrases, and sentences) provided simultaneously in auditory and visual modalities. To address the issue, we presented participants with sequences of short Chinese sentences through auditory, visual, or combined audio-visual modalities while electroencephalographic responses were recorded. With a frequency tagging approach, we analyzed the neural representations of basic linguistic units (i.e. characters/monosyllabic words) and higher-level linguistic structures (i.e. phrases and sentences) across the 3 modalities separately. We found that audio-visual integration occurs in all linguistic units, and the brain areas involved in the integration varied across different linguistic levels. In particular, the integration of sentences activated the local left prefrontal area. Therefore, we used continuous theta-burst stimulation to verify that the left prefrontal cortex plays a vital role in the audio-visual integration of sentence information. Our findings suggest the advantage of bimodal language comprehension at hierarchical stages in language-related information processing and provide evidence for the causal role of the left prefrontal regions in processing information of audio-visual sentences.

Leaf rolling is regarded as an important morphological trait in wheat breeding. Moderate leaf rolling is helpful to keep leaves upright and improve the photosynthesis of plants, leading to increased yield. However, studies on the identification of genomic regions/genes associated with rolling leaf have been reported less frequently in wheat. In this study, a rolling leaf mutant, T73, which has paired spikelets, dwarfism, and delayed heading traits, was obtained from a common wheat landrace through ethyl methanesulfonate mutagenesis. The rlT73 mutation caused an increase in the number of epidermal cells on the abaxial side and the shrinkage of bulliform cells on the adaxial side, leading to an adaxially rolling leaf phenotype. Genetic analysis showed that the rolling leaf phenotype was controlled by a single recessive gene. Further Wheat55K single nucleotide polymorphism array-based bulked segregant analysis and molecular marker mapping delimited rlT73 to a physical interval of 300.29-318.33 Mb on the chromosome arm 1BL in the Chinese Spring genome. We show that a point mutation at the miRNA165/166 binding site of the HD zipper class III transcription factor on 1BL altered its transcriptional level, which may be responsible for the rolling leaf phenotype. Our results suggest the important role of rlT73 in regulating wheat leaf development and the potential of miRNA-based gene regulation for crop trait improvement.

OBJECTIVES: To investigate the efficacy and safety of subcutaneous immunotherapy (SCIT) using dust mites in children with allergic asthma. METHODS: In a prospective randomized controlled study, 98 children with dust mite-induced allergic asthma were randomly divided into a control group (n=49) and an SCIT group (n=49). The control group received inhaled corticosteroid treatment, while the SCIT group additionally received a standardized three-year SCIT regimen. The two groups were compared based on peripheral blood eosinophil percentage, visual analogue score (VAS), total medication score, Asthma Control Test/Childhood Asthma Control Test scores, fractional exhaled nitric oxide (FeNO), and lung function before treatment, and at 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, and 3 years after treatment. Adverse reactions were recorded post-injection to evaluate the safety of SCIT. RESULTS: Compared with pre-treatment levels, the SCIT group showed a significant reduction in the percentage of peripheral blood eosinophils, VAS, total medication score, and FeNO, while lung function significantly improved, and asthma control levels were better 3 years after treatment (P<0.05). Compared with the control group, the SCIT group showed more significant improvement in all evaluated indicators 3 years after treatment (P<0.05). A total of 2 744 injections were administered, resulting in 157 cases (5.72%) of local adverse reactions and 4 cases (0.15%) of systemic adverse reactions, with no severe systemic adverse events. CONCLUSIONS: SCIT is an effective and safe treatment for allergic asthma in children.

The brain functions as an accurate circuit that regulates information to be sequentially propagated and processed in a hierarchical manner. However, it is still unknown how the brain is hierarchically organized and how information is dynamically propagated during high-level cognition. In this study, we developed a new scheme for quantifying the information transmission velocity (ITV) by combining electroencephalogram (EEG) and diffusion tensor imaging (DTI), and then mapped the cortical ITV network (ITVN) to explore the information transmission mechanism of the human brain. The application in MRI-EEG data of P300 revealed bottom-up and top-down ITVN interactions subserving P300 generation, which was comprised of four hierarchical modules. Among these four modules, information exchange between visual- and attention-activated regions occurred at a high velocity, related cognitive processes could thus be efficiently accomplished due to the heavy myelination of these regions. Moreover, inter-individual variability in P300 was probed to be attributed to the difference in information transmission efficiency of the brain, which may provide new insight into the cognitive degenerations in clinical neurodegenerative disorders, such as Alzheimer's disease, from the transmission velocity perspective. Together, these findings confirm the capacity of ITV to effectively determine the efficiency of information propagation in the brain.

KEY MESSAGE: A novel major adult-plant stripe rust resistance QTL derived from cultivated emmer wheat was mapped to a 123.6-kb region on wheat chromosome 2BL. Stripe rust, caused by the fungal pathogen Puccinia striiformis f. sp. tritici (Pst), is one of the most devastating diseases of wheat. Identification of new sources of resistance and their utilization in breeding programs is the effectively control strategy. The objective of this study was to identify and genetically characterize the stripe rust resistance derived from the cultivated emmer accession AS286. A recombinant inbred line population, developed from a cross between the susceptible durum wheat line langdon and AS286, was genotyped using the Wheat55K single nucleotide polymorphism array and evaluated in field conditions with a mixture of the prevalent Chinese Pst races (CYR32, CYR33, CYR34, Zhong4, and HY46) and in growth chamber with race CYR34. Three QTLs conferring resistance were mapped on chromosomes 1BS, 2BL, and 5BL, respectively. The QYrAS286-1BS and QYrAS286-2BL were stable with major effects, explaining 12.91% to 18.82% and 11.31% to 31.43% of phenotypic variation, respectively. QYrAS286-5BL was only detected based on growth chamber seedling data. RILs harboring both QYrAS286-1BS and QYrAS286-2BL showed high levels of stripe rust resistance equal to the parent AS286. The QYrAS286-2BL was only detected at the adult-plant stage, which is different from previously named Yr genes and inherited as a single gene. It was further mapped to a 123.6-kb region using KASP markers derived from SNPs identified by bulked segregant RNA sequencing (BSR-Seq). The identified loci enrich our stripe rust resistance gene pool, and the flanking markers developed here could be useful in marker-assisted selection for incorporating QYrAS286-2BL into wheat cultivars.

BACKGROUND: The anesthetic states are accompanied by functional alterations. However, the dose-related adaptive alterations in the higher-order network under anesthesia, e. g. default mode network (DMN), are poorly revealed. METHODS: We implanted electrodes in brain regions of the rat DMN to acquire local field potentials to investigate the perturbations produced by anesthesia. Relative power spectral density, static functional connectivity (FC), fuzzy entropy of dynamic FC, and topological features were computed from the data. RESULTS: The results showed that adaptive reconstruction was induced by isoflurane, exhibiting reduced static and stable long-range FC, and altered topological features. These reconstruction patterns were in a dose-related fashion. CONCLUSION: These results might impart insights into the neural network mechanisms underlying anesthesia and suggest the potential of monitoring the depth of anesthesia based on the parameters of DMN.

Depression is among the most frequent psychiatric comorbid conditions in Alzheimer disease (AD). However, pharmacotherapy for depressive disorders in AD is still a big challenge, and the data on the efffcacy of current antidepressants used clinically for depressive symptoms in patients with AD remain inconclusive. Here we investigated the mechanism of the interactions between depression and AD, which we believe would aid in the development of pharmacological therapeutics for the comorbidity of depression and AD. Female APP/PS1/Tau triple transgenic (3×Tg-AD) mice at 24 months of age and age- and sex-matched wild-type (WT) mice were used. The shuttle-box passive avoidance test (PAT) were implemented to assess the abilities of learning and memory, and the open field test (OFT) and the tail suspension test (TST) were used to assess depression-like behavior. High-performance liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS/MS) was used to detect the level of neurotransmitters related to depression in the hippocampus of mice. The data was identified by orthogonal projections to latent structures discriminant analysis (OPLS-DA). Most neurotransmitters exert their effects by binding to the corresponding receptor, so the expression of relative receptors in the hippocampus of mice was detected using Western blot. Compared to WT mice, 3×Tg-AD mice displayed significant cognitive impairment in the PAT and depression-like behavior in the OFT and TST. They also showed significant decreases in the levels of L-tyrosine, norepinephrine, vanillylmandelic acid, 5-hydroxytryptamine, and acetylcholine, in contrast to significant increases in 5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid, L-histidine, L-glutamine, and L-arginine in the hippocampus. Moreover, the expression of the alpha 1a adrenergic receptor (ADRA1A), serotonin 1 A receptor (5HT1A), and γ-aminobutyric acid A receptor subunit alpha-2 (GABRA2) was significantly downregulated in the hippocampus of 3×Tg-AD mice, while histamine H3 receptor (H3R) expression was significantly upregulated. In addition, the ratio of phosphorylated cAMP-response element-binding protein (pCREB) and CREB was significantly decreased in the hippocampus of 3×Tg-AD mice than WT mice. We demonstrated in the present study that aged female 3×Tg-AD mice showed depression-like behavior accompanied with cognitive dysfunction. The complex and diverse mechanism appears not only relevant to the imbalance of multiple neurotransmitter pathways, including the transmitters and receptors of the monoaminergic, GABAergic, histaminergic, and cholinergic systems, but also related to the changes in L-arginine and CREB signaling molecules.

A novel Re (I) complex of [Re(CO)3Cl(L)], {L = 2-([2,2'-bithiophen]-5-yl)-1-phenyl-1H-imidazo [4,5-f][1,10]phenanthroline}, was synthesized, and its optical (UV-Visible absorption and emission spectroscopy), cyclovoltammetric and photoelectrochemical oxygen reduction properties were studied. The geometric and electronic properties were also investigated by density functional theory calculations. It was found that the ITO electrode coated with drop-casted [Re(CO)3Cl(L)] film exhibited cathodic photocurrent generation characteristics. The illuminated film exhibited a maximum cathodic photocurrent up to 30.4 µA/cm2 with an illumination intensity of 100 mW/cm2 white light at a bias potential of -0.4 V vs. SCE in O2-saturated electrolyte solution, which was reduced by 5.1-fold when thoroughly deoxygenated electrolyte solution was used, signaling that the electrode performed well on the photoelectrochemical oxygen reduction. The photo-electrocatalytic hydrogen peroxide production was proved with a maximum H2O2 concentration of 6.39 µM during 5 h of the photoelectrocatalytic process. This work would guide the construction of more efficient rhenium-based photo(electro)catalytic molecular systems for O2 sensing, hydrogen peroxide production and other types of photoelectrochemical energy conversion and storage.

The efficient removal of persistent organic pollutants (POPs) in natural waters is vital for human survival and sustainable development. Photocatalytic degradation is a feasible and cost-effective strategy to completely disintegrate POPs at room temperature. Herein, we develop a series of direct Z-scheme BiOIO3/AgIO3 hybrid photocatalysts via a facile deposition-precipitation method. Under natural sunlight irradiation, the light intensity of which is ∼40 mW/cm2, a considerable rate constant of 0.185 min-1 for photodecomposing 40 mg/L MO is obtained over 0.5 g/L Bi@Ag-5 composite photocatalyst powder, about 92.5 and 5.3 times higher than those of pristine AgIO3 and BiOIO3. The photoactivity of Bi@Ag-5 for photodecomposing MO under natural sunlight illumination surpasses most of the reported photocatalysts under Xe lamp illumination. After natural sunlight irradiation for 20 min, 95% of MO, 82% of phenol, 78% of 2,4-DCP, 54% of ofloxacin, and 88% of tetracycline hydrochloride can be photodecomposed over Bi@Ag-5. Relative to the commercial photocatalyst TiO2 (P25), Bi@Ag-5 exhibits greatly higher photoactivity for the treatment of MO-phenol-tetracycline hydrochloride mixture pollutants in the scale-up experiment of 500 mL of solution, decreasing COD, TOC, and chromaticity value by 52, 19, and 76%, respectively, after natural sunlight irradiation for 40 min. The photodegradation process and mechanism of MO have been systematically investigated and proposed. This work provides an archetype for designing efficient photocatalysts to remove POPs.

Developing highly efficient photocatalysts toward synchronously removing heavy metals and organic pollutants is still a serious challenge. Herein, we depict hierarchical S-scheme heterostructured photocatalysts prepared via in situ anchoring UiO-66-NH2 nanoparticles onto the CdIn2S4 porous microsphere structures assembled with numerous nanosheets. In the mixed system of Cr(VI) and tetracycline (TC), the optimal photocatalyst (CIS@U66N-30) shows remarkable photocatalytic activities toward the synchronous removal of Cr(VI) (97.26%) and TC (close to 100% of) under visible-light irradiation for 60 min, being the best removal rates among those of the reported photocatalysts, and sustains the outstanding stability and reusability. Its reaction rate constants of Cr(VI) reduction and TC degradation are about 2.06 and 1.58 folds that in the single Cr(VI) and TC systems, respectively. The enhanced photocatalytic activities of CIS@U66N-30 mainly result from the following synergism: (1) its hierarchical structure offers abundant active sites, and the S-scheme migration mechanism of charge carriers in the heterostructure accelerates the separation and migration of the useful photoinduced electrons and holes with the high redox capability; (2) Cr(VI) and TC can serve as the electron scavenger for TC oxidation degradation and the hole and •OH scavenger for Cr(VI) reduction, respectively, further enhancing the separation and utilization efficiency of photoinduced electrons and holes. Besides, the possible TC degradation pathway and plausible S-scheme photocatalytic mechanism over CIS@U66N-30 for the concurrent elimination of Cr(VI) and TC are proposed.

To achieve rapid and precise non-contact measurements of coating emissivity at room temperature, a measurement method based on infrared thermal imager was proposed. By applying two irradiations with different energies to the target and reference surfaces, the influences of atmospheric transmittance, radiation of the target itself, environmental radiation, and atmospheric path radiation were eliminated, thereby enabling accurate emissivity measurement. Experiments were designed for validation with a mid-wave infrared thermal imager and a surface blackbody as the radiation source. Several combinations of irradiation energy were set to investigate the effects of average energy and energy difference between the two irradiations on the measured results. The normal emissivity of the coated sample plate in the mid-wave band was measured to generate the image of coating surface emissivity. Then, the emissivity measurement results of the proposed method were compared with those of the energy method and the point emissivity measuring instrument under the same conditions, and the comparison indicated that the proposed method can effectively measure the emissivity of coating. Some factors causing measurement errors were analyzed. Finally, an experiment was designed to compare the measurement speed between the proposed method and the currently used methods, and the experimental results were analyzed.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES: To describe the current situation and analyse influencing factors of resource utilisation in maintenance haemodialysis patients. BACKGROUND: The self-management level of patients undergoing maintenance haemodialysis in China is low. The applicability of the Chronic Illness Resources Survey in Chinese maintenance haemodialysis patients has been validated, and this survey can be used to assess the utilisation of self-management support resources among haemodialysis patients. Determining the influencing factors of resource utilisation can help improve the self-management behaviour of haemodialysis patients and control the progression of the disease. DESIGN: A descriptive study design was chosen. METHODS: A convenience sample of 314 patients undergoing haemodialysis was recruited from dialysis centres in three hospitals in western Xinjiang from June 2018-April 2019. SPSS19.0 software was used to describe the current situation of resource utilisation. Moreover, t test, analysis of variance and multivariate linear regression were applied to explore the influencing factors of patients' resource utilisation. Standards for observational studies STROBE Statement checklist-v4 were chosen on reporting the study process. RESULTS: The average score of the total resource utilisation was 2.95 ± 0.51. The average item score of seven dimensions from high to low was 3.46 for medical staff, 3.32 for personal, 3.22 for family and friends, 3.16 for work-related, 3.12 for media policy, 2.55 for neighbourhood/community and 2.23 for organisation. Multiple linear regression showed that there have six main factors, which explained 65.4% of the variance of haemodialysis patients' resource utilisation. CONCLUSIONS: The personal, family and friends, work and media and policy subscales were rated the highest, with support from neighbourhood/community and organisation rated the lowest. In general, participants perceived moderate levels of support. Government and healthcare team should pay more attention on haemodialysis patients who had low level of education, poor economic conditions and poor mental condition. RELEVANCE TO CLINICAL PRACTICE: ESRD has caused a burden on healthcare expenditure and has become a critical public health problem worldwide. Self-management is particularly important for dialysis patients which have attracted extensive interest. In the future research, we can use this questionnaire to evaluate the related resources of disease management of dialysis patients, encourage patients to make full use of the resources around them and focus on those patients with low education and monthly income level and bad mental state.

Constructing direct Z-scheme system is a promising strategy to boost the photocatalytic performance for pollution waters restoration, but it is of great challenge because of the requirement of appropriately staggered energy band alignment and intimate interfacial interaction between semiconductors. Herein, a class of core-shell structured Ag2S-AgIO3 Z-scheme heterostructure photocatalysts are designed and developed. Ag2S is generated by the in-situ ion exchange reaction and anchored on the surface of AgIO3, so the intimate interface between AgIO3 and Ag2S is realized. Integration of AgIO3 and Ag2S extends the ultraviolet absorption of AgIO3 to Vis-NIR region, and also promote the charge separation and migration efficiency, contributing to the enhanced photocatalysis activity for composite catalysts. The optimal Ag2S-AgIO4-4 catalyst exhibits a MO photo-degradation rate constant of 0.298 h-1, which reaches 5.77 and 11.4-folds higher than that of AgIO3 (0.044 h-1) and Ag2S (0.024 h-1). The as-obtained composite catalyst exhibits universally photocatalytic activity in disintegrating diverse industrial pollutants and pharmaceuticals. Particularly, driven by natural sunlight, the Ag2S-AgIO4-4 can effectively decompose MO. A plausible Z-scheme photocatalytic mechanism and reaction pathways of MO degradation over composite catalyst are systemically investigated and proposed.

Rare earth europium(II) complexes based on d-f transition luminescence have characteristics of broad emission spectra, tunable emission colors and short excited state lifetimes, showing great potential in display, lighting and other fields. In this work, four complexes of Eu(II) and bis(pyrazolyl)borate ligands, where pyrazolyl stands for pyrazolyl, 3-methylpyrazolyl, 3,5-dimethylpyrazolyl or 3-trifluoromethylpyrazole, were designed and synthesized. Due to the varied steric hindrance of the ligands, different numbers of solvent molecules (tetrahydrofuran) are participated to saturate the coordination structure. These complexes showed blue-green to yellow emissions with maximum wavelength in the range of 490-560 nm, and short excited state lifetimes of 30-540 ns. Among them, the highest photoluminescence quantum yield can reach 100%. In addition, when the complexes were heated under vacuum or nitrogen atmosphere, they finally transformed into the complexes of Eu(II) and corresponding tri(pyrazolyl)borate ligands and sublimated away.

Prostate cancer is the most common malignant tumor in male urinary system, and the morbidity and mortality rate are increasing year by year. Traditional imaging examinations have some limitations in the diagnosis of prostate cancer, and the advent of molecular imaging probes and imaging technology have provided new ideas for the integration of diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer. In recent years, prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) has attracted much attention as a target for imaging and treatment of prostate cancer. PSMA ligand positron emission tomography (PET) has important reference value in the diagnosis, initial staging, detection of biochemical recurrence and metastasis, clinical decision-making guidance and efficacy evaluation of prostate cancer. This article briefly reviews the clinical research and application progress on PSMA ligand PET imaging in prostate cancer in recent years, so as to raise the efficiency of clinical applications.

Aero-engine blades are an integral part of the aero-engine, and the integrity of these blades affects the flight performance and safety performance of an aircraft. The traditional manual detection method is time-consuming, labor-intensive, and inefficient. Hence, it is particularly important to use intelligent detection methods to detect and identify damage. In order to quickly and accurately identify the damage of the aero-engine blades, the present study proposes a network based on the Improved Cascade Mask R-CNN network-to establish the damage related to the aero-engine blades and detection models. The model can identify the damage type and locate and segment the area of damage. Furthermore, the accuracy rate can reach up to 98.81%, the Bbox-mAP is 78.7%, and the Segm-mAP is 77.4%. In comparing the Improved Cascade Mask R-CNN network with the YOLOv4, Cascade R-CNN, Res2Net, and Cascade Mask R-CNN networks, the results revealed that the network used in the present is excellent and effective.
