RESUMO

Four ergosterol derivatives, named tricholosterols A-D (1-4), have been isolated from the fruiting bodies of Tricholoma terreum. Their chemical structures have been determined using a combination of spectroscopic analysis as well as computational methods. Compound 1 possesses a rare D-ring opening ergosterol skeleton, while compounds 2-4 are rare degraded ergosterols. Compounds 1 and 4 exhibited moderate inhibitory activity against NO production with IC50 values of 27.6 and 31.8 µM, respectively. This is the first report of steroids from T. terreum.

RESUMO

Accurate fire warning is very important for people's life and property safety. The most commonly used fire alarm is based on the detection of a single factor of gases, smoke particles, or temperature, which easily causes false alarm due to complex environmental conditions. A facile multi-factor route for fabricating an accurate analog fire alarm using a Pb5 S2 I6 nanowire mesh based on its photoelectric and gas-sensing dual function is presented. The Pb5 S2 I6 nanowire mesh presents excellent photoelectric detection capabilities and is sensitive to ppm-level NO2 at room temperature. Under the "two-step verification" circuit of light and gas factors, the bimodal simulation fire alarm based on this Pb5 S2 I6 nanowire mesh can resist the interference of complex environmental factors and effectively reduce the false alarm rate.

RESUMO

Nine previously undescribed sesquiterpenoids, bipolarisorokins A-I (1-9); two new xanthones, bipolarithones A and B (10 and 11); two novel sativene-xanthone adducts, bipolarithones C and D (12 and 13); as well as five known compounds (14-18) were characterized from the kiwifruit-associated fungus Bipolaris sp. Their structures were elucidated by extensive spectroscopic methods, electronic circular dichroism (ECD), 13C NMR calculations, DP4+ probability analyses, and single crystal X-ray diffractions. Many compounds exhibited anti-pathogenic microorganism activity against the bacterium Pseudomonas syringae pv. actinidiae and four pathogenic microorganisms.

RESUMO

In recent years, organic-inorganic hybrid metal halides have emerged as a highly promising class of semiconducting light emitting diodes (LEDs) due to their fascinating photoluminescence properties. Here, by specifically selecting different organic cations as templates, a series of new hybrid cuprous halides have been solvothermally prepared, namely [Me-Py]CuI2 (1), [(Me)2-DABCO]Cu2I4 (2), [Me-MePy]Cu2I3 (3), and [H2DABCO]Cu3X5 (X = I (4) and Br (5)). These hybrid cuprous halides feature one-dimensional (1D) [CuI2]-, [Cu2I3]- and [Cu3X5]2- (X = Br, I) chains surrounded and charge-balanced by organic cations. Under UV photoexcitation, these hybrid cuprous halides exhibit strong tunable photoluminescence from cyan (480 nm) to red (675 nm) emissions with large Stokes shifts (345 nm). The intrinsic nature of PL emissions is also investigated based on temperature-dependent PL emission, lifetime, photoluminescence quantum efficiencies, etc.

RESUMO

Here, we prepared the first series of 3D hybrid iodoplumbates with novel porous frameworks of [Pb8I21]5- directed by transition metal complex (TMC) cationic dyes of [TM(2.2-bipy)3]2+. The microporous materials exhibit outstanding visible light-driven photoelectric properties due to the effective photosensitization of the TMC dyes. The coexistence of stronger face- and weaker corner-shared connecting manners affords the feasibility of tailoring the 3D framework into low-dimensional skeletons, which provide a new structural prototype to modify the semiconducting properties similar to those of classic perovskites.

RESUMO

The synthesis of central-ring halogenated pentiptycene phenols 12-14 and dihalogenated pentiptycenes 15-17 is reported. Their utilities as building blocks for preparing new pentiptycene-derived pi-conjugated systems through the Sonogashira, Heck, and Suzuki reactions are also demonstrated.

RESUMO

A novel method for the synthesis of cyclic peptide analogues has been developed. The general approach relies on the use of SET-promoted photocyclization reactions of peptides that contain N-terminal phthalimides as light absorbing electron acceptor moieties and C-terminal alpha-amidosilane or alpha-amidocarboxylate centers. Prototypical substrates are prepared by coupling preformed peptides with the acid chloride of N-phthalimidoglycine. Irradiation of these substrates results in the generation of cyclic peptide analogues in modest to good yields. The chemical efficiencies of these processes are not significantly affected by (1) the lengths of the peptide chains separating the phthalimide and alpha-amidosilane or alpha-amidocarboxylate centers and (2) the nature of the penultimate cation radical alpha-heterolytic fragmentation process (i.e., desilylation vs decarboxylation). An evaluation of the effects of N-alkyl substitution on the amide residues in the peptide chain showed that N-alkyl substitution does not have a major impact on the efficiencies of the photocyclization reactions but that it profoundly increases the stability of the cyclic peptide.
