RESUMO

Background: Stroke is a cerebrovascular disease with high prevalence and mortality, and upper limb hemiparesis is a major factor limiting functional recovery in stroke patients. Improvement of motor function in stroke patients through various forms of constraint-induced movement therapy (CITM) has been recognized as safe and effective in recent years. This research field lacks a comprehensive systematic and clear vein combing analysis, analyzing the literature research of CIMT in the field of rehabilitation in the past three decades, summarizing the research hotspots and cutting-edge trends in this field, in an effort to offer ideas and references for subsequent researchers. Methods: Relevant literature on CIMT in rehabilitation was collected from 1996 to 2024 within the Web of Science database's core dataset by using CiteSpace6.1, VOSviewer1.6.18, R-bibliometrix4.6.1, Pajek5.16, Scimago Graphica 1.0.26 software for visualization and analysis. Results: There were 970 papers in all United States was ranked first with 401 papers. Alabama Univ was ranked first for institutions with 53 papers. Neurorehabilitation and Neural Repair was ranked first for journals with 78 papers, and Taub E was ranked first for author publications with 64 papers. Research keywords were CIMT, stroke rehabilitation, upper extremity function, lower extremity gait balance, randomized controlled trials, physical therapy techniques (transcranial magnetic stimulation and sensory amplitude electrical stimulation), primary motor cortex plasticity, lateral dominance (spatial behaviors), cerebral vascular accidents, activities of daily living, hand function, disability, functional restoration, bimanual training, aphasia, acquired invalidity, type A Botulinum toxin and joystick riding toys. Conclusion: The current state of research shows that CIMT still has a vast potential for development in the field of rehabilitation research. The research hotspots are the clinical efficacy of CIMT combined with other therapies (botulinum toxin type A, transcranial direct current stimulation, virtual reality, mirror therapy, robotic-assisted) to enhance the functionality of upper limb hemiparesis in stroke patients, the mechanism of CIMT to improve the plasticity of the motor cortex through electrophysiological and imaging methods, and improvement of lower limb gait balance function in stroke patients and aphasia applications, the optimal intervention time and dose, and exploration of CIMT in new settings such as robot-assisted, telemedicine, and home rehabilitation.

Objective: To prove that the "sports rehabilitation bed" is a device aimed at improving the precision of stretching, which can help to reduce the difficulty of rehabilitation therapy, cut down the manpower input of rehabilitation therapy, and shorten the therapy duration as well. Methods: This was a clinical comparative study. Twenty patients who underwent stretching therapy in Sichuan Province Orthopedic Hospital from June 2020 to August 2020 were randomly selected to carry out a control study on both lower extremities. The experimental group was given sports rehabilitation bed to assist rehabilitation therapy, while the control group was given conventional bare-handed stretching rehabilitation therapy. The stretching angle, stretching value, and the effective rate of stretching therapy between the two groups to analyze the clinical value of the new sports rehabilitation therapy bed. Results: The stretching angle in the experimental group when using the sports rehabilitation therapy bed for stretching was lower than the conventional bare-handed stretching in the control group (T<0, P=0.05), with a statistically significant difference; the stretching values of the experimental group were lower than those of the control group(P<0.01), with a statistically significant difference. Moreover, the response rate of stretching therapy in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05), with a statistically significant difference. Conclusion: Sports rehabilitation therapy beds can results in the advantages of effectively preventing iatrogenic injury in the process of stretching, and providing a more accurate and convenient stretching therapy method than the current commonly used bare-handed stretching for sports rehabilitation and intervention.

BACKGROUND: Knee osteoarthritis (KOA) is a chronic musculoskeletal disorder characterized by pain and functional impairment. Blood flow restriction (BFR) with low-load resistance training (LLRT) demonstrates a similar improvement in clinical outcomes to high-load resistance training (HLRT) in treating KOA. It has not been established whether intermittent blood flow restriction (iBFR) with LLRT can lead to clinical outcomes that are comparable to those produced by continuous blood flow restriction (cBFR) with LLRT and HLRT. The aim of the proposed study is to evaluate the efficacy of iBFR with LLRT on pain, Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index (WOMAC), muscle strength, muscle mass, physical function, perceptions of discomfort and effort, and adherence in KOA patients. METHODS: This is a three-arm, non-inferiority, randomized controlled trial utilizing blinded assessors. Two hundred thirteen participants will be randomly allocated to one of the following three groups: iBFR group-receiving 4 months of LLRT with iBFR, twice weekly (n = 71); cBFR group-receiving 4 months of LLRT with cBFR, twice weekly (n = 71); or HLRT group-receiving 4 months of HLRT without BFR, twice weekly (n = 71). The primary outcome is pain. The secondary outcomes include the WOMAC, muscle strength, muscle mass, physical function, perceptions of discomfort and effort, and adherence. Pain and WOMAC will be measured at the baseline and 4 and 12 months after randomizations. Muscle strength, muscle mass, and physical function will be measured at the baseline and 4 months after randomizations. The perceptions of discomfort and effort will be measured during the first and final sessions. DISCUSSION: BFR with LLRT has a similar improvement in clinical outcomes as HLRT. However, cBFR may cause elevated ratings of perceived exertion and local discomfort, compromising patient tolerability and treatment adherence. If iBFR with LLRT could produce improvement in clinical outcomes analogous to those of HLRT and iBFR with LLRT, it could be considered an alternative approach for treating patients with KOA. This paper presents a comprehensive study of the impact of quenching roll speed on enhancing the low-temperature toughness of a low-carbon copper-containing steel. The microstructure characteristics, such as the prior austenite grains, and the distribution and volume fraction of precipitates, are observed using optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, and small-angle scattering X-ray. The results show that a decrease in the quenching roller speed (2 m/min) contributes to the achievement of more excellent low-temperature toughness (the average value is 232 J), although the prior austenite grains exhibit a relatively larger size in this case. The tempering treatment results in the precipitation of a large amount of 9R-type Cu-rich particles, regardless of the quenching roller speed. Reducing the quenching roller speed contributes to the increase in the volume fraction of Cu-rich particles, which is considered to be the main factor contributing to the achievement of excellent low-temperature toughness.

Purpose: The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of a preoperative combined with postoperative moderate-intensity progressive resistance training (PRT) of the operative side in patients with hip osteoarthritis (HOA) who are undergoing total hip arthroplasty (THA). The study seeks to evaluate the impact of this combined intervention on muscle strength, gait, balance, and hip joint function in a controlled, measurable, and objective manner. Additionally, the study aims to compare the outcomes of this combined intervention with those of preoperative or postoperative muscle strength training conducted in isolation. Methods: A total of 90 patients with HOA scheduled for unilateral primary THA were randomly assigned to three groups: Pre group (preoperative PRT), Post group (postoperative PRT), and Pre& Post group (preoperative combined with postoperative PRT) focusing on hip flexion, extension, adduction, and abduction of operated side. Muscle strength, gait parameters, balance, and hip function were assessed at specific time points during a 12-month follow-up period. Results: All three groups showed significant improvements in muscle strength, with the Pre& Post group demonstrating the most pronounced and sustained gains. Gait velocity and cadence were significantly improved in the Pre& Post group at 1-month and 3-month postoperative follow-ups compared to the other groups. Similarly, the Pre& Post group exhibited superior balance performance at 3-month and 12-month postoperative follow-ups. The Harris Hip Score also showed better outcomes in the Pre& Post group at all follow-up intervals. Conclusion: Preoperative combined with postoperative moderate-intensity PRT in HOA patients undergoing THA led to superior improvements in muscle strength, gait, balance, and hip joint function compared to preoperative or postoperative PRT alone. This intervention shows significant promise in optimizing postoperative rehabilitation and enhancing patient outcomes following THA.

Background: Inconsistent results have been obtained regarding the association between return-to-sport (RTS) testing and the risk of subsequent re-injury following anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR). We therefore conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis to assess the potential association between passing of RTS and the risk of re-injury for patients after ACLR. Methods: This meta-analysis was registered in INPLASY with the registration number INPLASY202360027. The electronic databases MedLine, EmBase, and the Cochrane library were systematically searched to identify eligible studies from their inception up to September 2023. The investigated outcomes included knee injury, secondary ACL, contralateral ACL injury, and graft rupture. The pooled odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were calculated using the random-effects model. Results: A total number of nine studies involving 1410 individuals were selected for the final quantitative analysis. We noted that passing RTS test was not associated with the risk of subsequent knee injury (OR: 0.95; 95% CI: 0.28-3.21; P = 0.929), secondary ACL injury (OR: 0.98; 95% CI: 0.55-1.75; P = 0.945), and contralateral ACL injury (OR: 1.53; 95% CI: 0.63-3.71; P = 0.347). However, the risk of graft rupture was significantly reduced (OR: 0.49; 95% CI: 0.33-0.75; P = 0.001). Conclusions: This study found that passing RTS test was not associated with the risk of subsequent knee injury, secondary ACL injury, and contralateral ACL injury, while it was associated with a lower risk of graft rupture. Thus, it is recommended that patients after ACLR pass an RTS test in clinical settings.

Background: Patellofemoral pain syndrome (PFPS) is a prevalent condition in sports medicine, and as sports competitions become more popular, the incidence of sports injuries is on the rise. Despite the increasing research on PFPS, there remains a lack of bibliometric analyses on this topic. The aim of this study was to identify the research hotspots and trends in the field of PFPS by reviewing 23 years of literature in this field. Methods: By analyzing the literature on PFPS research from 2000 to 2023 in the core dataset of the Web of Science database and utilizing bibliometric tools like CiteSpace 6.1, VOSviewer 1.6.18, R-bibliometrix 4.6.1, Pajek 5.16, and Scimago Graphica 1.0.26, our aim was to gain insights into the current status and key areas of PFPS research. The study examined various aspects including the number of publications, countries, institutions, journals, authors, collaborative networks, keywords, and more. Through the visualization of relevant data, we also attempted to forecast future trends in the field. Results: There were 2,444 publications were included in this visualization study, published in 322 journals by 1,247 authors from 818 institutions in 67 countries. The Journal of Orthopaedic and Sports Physical Therapy had the highest number of publications, with the USA leading in article count. La Trobe University contributed the most articles, while Rathleff MS and Barton CJ emerged as the most prolific authors. Hip and knee strength and core strength, lower extremity kinematics and biomechanics, females (runners), muscle activation, risk factors, gait retraining, clinical practice guidelines, and rehabilitation were research hotspot keywords. Conclusion: Current research suggests that there is still significant potential for the development of PFPS research. Key areas of focus include the clinical effectiveness of combined hip and knee strengthening to address PFPS, characterization of lower limb kinematics and biomechanics, gait retraining, risk factors, and clinical practice guidelines. Future research could explore the effectiveness of innovative exercise therapies such as blood flow restricting training, gait retraining, and neuromuscular control training for PFPS improvement. Further investigation into gait retraining for runners, particularly females, and clinical efficacy study of a novel PRP formulation for the treatment of PFPS.

This study investigated the effects of reheating temperature on the microstructure and mechanical properties of Cu-containing 440 MPa grade non-tempered ship plate steel. The mechanical properties test, thermodynamic simulation, optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, and other tests were performed. The results revealed that with increasing reheating temperature, the ferrite grain size of Cu-containing 440 MPa non-tempered ship plate steel increased. Also, with increasing reheating temperature, the size of copper particles and niobium-titanium composite precipitates in the original austenite decreased. Consequently, this led to a weakening of the pinning effect on the original austenite and an increase in the size of the transformed ferrite grains. Moreover, with increasing reheating temperature, the number of Cu precipitates in the test steel after air cooling and rolling increased, while the size of the precipitates decreased, thereby weakening the solid solution strengthening effect of Cu, and precipitation was enhanced. Additionally, as the reheating temperature increased, the tensile strength and yield strength of the air-cooled test steel after rolling increased, while the impact toughness decreased.

In this work, two types of 590 MPa grade steels, composed of NiCrMo steel and Cu-bearing steel, were processed using traditional offline quenching and tempering and direct quenching (DQ) and tempering. The influence of DQ on microstructural evolution and strengthening mechanisms of these two types of steel was investigated. Grain refinement and dislocation density increase were determined by controlled rolling and following the DQ process in both two types of steel. In Cu-bearing steels, the refined grains and high-density dislocation further promoted the precipitation behavior of Cu-rich particles and alloyed carbides during the tempering treatment. Compared with traditionally quenched and tempered steels, NiCrMo steels after the direct quenching and tempering (DQT) process achieved 106 MPa higher yield strength through grain refinement strengthening and dislocation strengthening, while the Cu-bearing steels after the DQT process achieved 159 MPa higher yield strength through grain refinement strengthening, dislocation strengthening, and precipitation strengthening. The contribution degree of different strengthening mechanisms was quantitatively analyzed. Grain refinement also compensated for the toughness loss caused by the increase in dislocation, leading to an impact energy of 237 J and 248 J at -84 °C for NiCrMo and Cu-bearing steels after DQT, respectively.

The influence of varying the manganese (Mn) contents of high-strength copper-containing hull steel on its microstructural evolution and mechanical properties was investigated. With increasing Mn content from 2 to 5%, the tensile strength of the steel increased by ~100 MPa, while the elongation of steel remained at ~23.5%, indicating good plasticity. However, the 2Mn sample had 128 J higher low-temperature (-84 °C) impact work than the 5Mn sample. The microstructures of different Mn steels were composed of fresh martensite (FM), ferrite/tempered martensite (F/TM), and reversed austenite (RA). The increase in Mn content markedly increased the presence of RA and intensified the work hardening caused by the transformation-induced plasticity (TRIP) effect during the tensile process. However, as the phase transformation in different Mn steels occurred in the early stage of strain and did not extend throughout the entire plastic deformation process, increasing plasticity via phase transformation was difficult. In addition, although the volume fraction of RA increased significantly in 4Mn and 5Mn steels, the stability of RA significantly decreased. The presence of numerous metastable blocks and coarse lath-like RA contributed little to low-temperature impact work and was even detrimental to toughness. The substantial fresh martensite resulting from phase transformation facilitated microcrack generation, owing to rapid volume expansion and mutual impacts, thus reducing the work required for crack formation. Additionally, the abundance of deformation twins significantly reduced the work needed for crack propagation. These combined actions significantly reduced the low-temperature toughness of 4Mn and 5Mn steels.

Wavelength-selective thermal emitters (WS-TEs) have been frequently designed to achieve desired target emissivity spectra, as a typical emissivity engineering, for broad applications such as thermal camouflage, radiative cooling, and gas sensing, etc. However, previous designs require prior knowledge of materials or structures for different applications and the designed WS-TEs usually vary from applications to applications in terms of materials and structures, thus lacking of a general design framework for emissivity engineering across different applications. Moreover, previous designs fail to tackle the simultaneous design of both materials and structures, as they either fix materials to design structures or fix structures to select suitable materials. Herein, we employ the deep Q-learning network algorithm, a reinforcement learning method based on deep learning framework, to design multilayer WS-TEs. To demonstrate the general validity, three WS-TEs are designed for various applications, including thermal camouflage, radiative cooling and gas sensing, which are then fabricated and measured. The merits of the deep Q-learning algorithm include that it can (1) offer a general design framework for WS-TEs beyond one-dimensional multilayer structures; (2) autonomously select suitable materials from a self-built material library and (3) autonomously optimize structural parameters for the target emissivity spectra. The present framework is demonstrated to be feasible and efficient in designing WS-TEs across different applications, and the design parameters are highly scalable in materials, structures, dimensions, and the target functions, offering a general framework for emissivity engineering and paving the way for efficient design of nonlinear optimization problems beyond thermal metamaterials.

BACKGROUND: To clarify the differences in biomechanical characteristics present in adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS) patients during walking. METHODS: Cross-sectional studies related to the biomechanical characteristics of AIS were included by searching 7 major databases and analyzed using RevMan 5.4 software. RESULTS: There were a total of 15 trials involving 377 AIS patients. The results showed that during walking, AIS had increased pelvic coronal tilt (effect size [ES] = -1.34, 95% confidence intervals [CI] = -2.41 to -0.27, P = .01), knee and ankle sagittal mobility were reduced (ES = -5.22, 95% CI = -7.51 to -2.94, P < .001; ES = -3.58, 95% CI = -5.93 to -1.22, P = .003). The duration of electromyogram activity was prolonged in the gluteus medius (ES = 7.65, 95% CI = 5.33-9.96, P < .001), lumbar square (ES = 10.73, 95% CI = 6.97-14.49, P < .001), and erector spinae (ES = 14.35, 95% CI = 6.94-21.76, P < .001) muscles. The results of subgroup analysis showed that the step length of the concave side of the spine was reduced (ES = -0.36, 95% CI = -0.71 to -0.01, P = .04). CONCLUSION: AIS has characteristic biomechanical changes in spatiotemporal, phase kinematics, motor mechanics, and electromyographic signatures. Further comprehensive studies are required in the future to analyze the biomechanical and electromyographic differences among different degrees and types of scoliosis, as well as the differences between the concave and convex sides of scoliosis during walking.

BACKGROUND: Patellofemoral pain (PFP) is one of the most common disorders of the knee joint. Home-based exercise is an effective intervention to achieve self-management for chronic diseases. This study evaluated the effects of home-based exercise and health education in patients with PFP. METHODS: Patients who had PFP were randomly allocated to an intervention group (IG) or control group (CG). Patients in the IG received a 6-week tailored home-based exercise program with health education via remote support, while patients in the CG group only received health education. Clinical outcomes were compared using the Anterior Knee Pain Scale (AKPS) to measure function and the Visual Analog Scale (VAS) to measure "worst pain" and "pain with daily activity". Muscle strength was measured according to the peak torque of the knee muscles using an isokinetic system. RESULTS: Among a total of 112 participants screened for eligibility, 38 were randomized and analyzed, including 19 participants in the intervention group and 19 participants in the control group. There were no significant differences in baseline characteristics between the groups. At 6-week follow-up, the intervention group showed a greater worst pain reduction (between-group difference, -19.3 [95%CI, -23.2 to -15.5]; P < 0.01) and pain with daily activity (between-group difference, -22.9 [95%CI, -28.3 to -17.4]; P < 0.01) than the control group. Similarly, the intervention group had better improvements in AKPS (between-group difference, 9.0 [95%CI, 4.1 to 13.9]; P < 0.01) and knee extensor strength (between-group difference, 20.1 [95%CI, 14.5 to 25.8]; P < 0.01), compared to the control group. No adverse events were reported. CONCLUSION: Home-based exercise and health education resulted in less pain, better function, and higher knee muscle strength compared with no exercise in patients with PFP. A large randomized controlled trial with long-term follow-up is required to confirm these findings. RESUMO

Deuterium-deuterium (D-D) neutron spectrum diagnostics in tokamaks are a challenging task with current technologies. To address this issue, we designed and tested a fast and compact helium-3 proportional counter with a diameter of 2.5 cm and an effective length of 15 cm and using Kr as a stopping gas. The detector achieved a resolution of 96 keV for 2.406 MeV neutrons with a pulse shaping of 2 µs. Test results indicate that this detector has the potential to form a D-D neutron spectrometer for tokamaks, composed of detector arrays.

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a prolonged multifactorial autoimmune disease of unknown etiology. With the global population aging, the incidence of RA is increasing, highlighting the need for more effective treatments. Exercise interventions have been recognized as safe and effective for managing pain, improving function, and reducing fatigue in RA patients. However, the existing literature in this field lacks a thorough, organized, and clear line of analysis. In this study, we conducted a comprehensive analysis of the 20-year literature on exercise interventions for RA, aiming to identify hotspots and cutting-edge trends. Our objective is to provide subsequent researchers with valuable ideas and references. Using Cite Space, VOS viewer, and R-bibliometrix software for visualization and analysis, we compiled the main dataset from the web of science database, consisting of 1790 articles on exercise interventions in RA published between 2000 and 2023. Among these articles, the United States contributed the highest number of papers (433), while Karolinska Institutet ranked first institutionally with 90 papers. The study focused on the keyword's quality of life, cardiovascular disease, aerobic exercise, social support, psychology, and multidisciplinary care. The research highlighted the importance of clinical efficacy studies that investigate different types of exercise modalities (cardiorespiratory aerobic, resistance, aquatic, and neurological) either alone or in combination, to improve pain and function and reduce cardiovascular disease risk in patients with RA. Additionally, sedentary behavior, fatigue, and multidisciplinary care were identified as potential areas for further research. Overall, this study provides a scientific perspective on exercise interventions for RA and offers valuable insights for academics, funding organizations, and policymakers.

Passivation makes 2D hexagonal structure more stable than the planar variant. Surface fluorinated monolayer of GaN have been found to have ultra-wide band gap and have promising applications in optoelectronic conversion devices. In this work, using theoretical method, we have explored the thermal conductivity as well as the electronic structure of F-GaN. It has a low thermal conductivity of 7.67 W (mK)-1due to the low group velocity and short phonon lifetime. The calculated direct band gap value is 4.63 eV, which could be modulated by strain and biaxial strain is found to more effective. Attractively, direct band gap can be maintained under tensile strain. Breakdown of symmetry by uniaxial strain lifts the band degeneracy of the VBM, which will lead to polarized light emission. The in-depth analysis shows that Ga-F as well as N-F bonds are strongly ionic, which is responsible for its low thermal conductivity and ultra-wide band gap.

Isotope engineering has been shown to be an effective means of regulating thermal conductivity. In this work, we studied the isotope engineering of thermal conductivity in bulk and 2D GaN, and diametrically opposite atom isotope dependence is found. That is, Ga isotope has a large effect (77%) on bulk GaN, while the effect of N isotope on the thermal conductivity is negligible. In 2D GaN, however, N isotope effect (20%) is more significant than that of Ga. Understanding of the different isotope dependence is achieved by deeper insight. Due to the relative magnitude of scattering rate, isotopic scattering influences the thermal conductivity of bulk and 2D GaN in different frequency regions, leading to the opposite atom dependence.

BACKGROUND Lateral epicondylitis is a common clinical disease characterized by lateral elbow pain, seriously affecting patients' daily life and work. There is a lack of comprehensive and systematic visual analysis of the literature in this field. Therefore, we analyzed the literature on lateral epicondylitis in the past 30 years and summarized the hot spots and frontiers of research in this field to provide ideas and references for subsequent researchers. MATERIAL AND METHODS CiteSpace, VOSviewer, and R-Bibliometrix tools were primarily used to collect, visualize, and analyze data from the literature on lateral epicondylitis in the Web of Science database's core dataset from 1990 to 2022. RESULTS There were altogether 1556 items in the literature. Recent years have seen a noticeable development trend in the volume of pertinent literature that is published annually. The United States took first place with 447 papers. Univ Queensland ranked first with 42 papers. Vicenzino B, an academic at the University of Queensland, Australia, ranked first, with 48 papers. CONCLUSIONS Yearly volumes and forecasts suggest the USA will continue to lead the world in publications on lateral epicondylitis, with extensive collaboration among authors. More collaboration is still needed in various nations and organizations, according to an analysis of the research literature from the previous 30 years. The mechanism of action of different injectable preparations, such as corticosteroids for the treatment of LE is still unclear, as well as the cellular transduction pathways through which PRP affects LE.

In this study, microstructural evolution and its effects on mechanical properties across the thickness of a 120 mm Ni-Cr-Mo industrial ultra-heavy steel plate were quantitatively investigated by means of optical microscope (OM), scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission electron microscope (TEM) and electron back-scatter diffraction (EBSD). The results show that the martensite fraction is 65% at 10 mm and disappears at 40 mm, while granular bainite appears at 35 mm and climbs up to as high as 32% at 60 mm, with M-A constituents significantly coarsened. The strength drops with the gradual coarsening of the laths as well as decreased martensite fraction from the surface to the centre. The toughness is mainly affected by the block size and the morphology and quantity of M-A constituents. This study established a multivariate function between the microstructure and toughness (50% fibre area transition temperature, FATT50) with careful consideration of the influence of effective grain size (EGS) and M-A constituent size distribution.

Background: In sports medicine, tendon and ligament injuries are the most prevalent conditions, and with the booming of sports competition, the incidence of sports injuries is gradually increasing, investigating more potent therapeutic options is therefore becoming increasingly crucial. Platelet-rich plasma therapy has gained popularity as an effective and secure treatment in recent years. Currently, a faceted systematic and clear visual analysis is lacking in this research area. Methods: The literature related to using platelet-rich plasma to treat ligament and tendon injuries from 2003 to 2022 in the core dataset of the Web of Science database was collected and analyzed visually using Citespace 6.1 software. Research hotspots and development trends were analyzed in terms of high-impact countries or regions, authors, research institutions, keywords, and cited literature. Results: The literature comprised a total of 1,827 articles. The annual publication volume of relevant literature has demonstrated a significant development tendency as the field of platelet-rich plasma research for tendon and ligament injuries has heated up in recent years. With 678 papers, the United States came in top place, followed by China with 187 papers. Hosp Special Surg ranked first with 56 papers. The hot research topics analyzed by keywords were tennis elbow, anterior cruciate ligament, rotator cuff repair, achilles tendon, mesenchymal stem cells, guided tissue regeneration, network meta analysis, chronic patellar tendinopathy, and follow up. Conclusion: Analysis of the research literature over the past 20 years shows that the United States and China will continue to dominate in terms of volume of publications based on annual volume and trends, with some collaboration among high-impact authors and further collaboration still needed in different countries and institutions. Platelet-rich plasma is widely used in the treatment of tendon ligament injuries. Its clinical efficacy is influenced by a number of factors, the main ones being the inconsistency in the preparation and composition of platelet-rich plasma and its related preparations, and the differences in efficacy due to different activation methods of platelet-rich plasma, as well as factors such as injection time, injection site, administration method, number of administrations, acidity and evaluation methods, In addition, the applicability to different injury diseases remains controversial. In recent years, the molecular biology of platelet-rich plasma for tendon ligament therapy has received increasing attention.
