RESUMEN

The organic salt chlorocholine perchlorate [ClCH2 CH2 N(CH3 )3 ⋅ClO4 ] (CCP) is found to be a molecular ferroelectric with a high theoretical spontaneous polarization (Ps) value up to 17.09 µC cm-2 . CCP exhibits two successive order-disorder phase transition at 332 and 365 K with space groups changing from Cc to Cmc21 and then P63 /mmc, accompanied by unusual two-step ladder-like dielectric, SHG signal with obvious "on/off" contrasts. These findingings provides a further instance of exploring successive thermal-stimuli multi-responsive switching materials applied as switches and sensors.

An alkyl radical-triggered dual C-F bond cleavage of α-CF3-ortho-hydroxystyrenes for the synthesis of 2-fluorobenzofurans was developed. The visible-light-induced defluorinative cross-coupling reactions of α-CF3-ortho-hydroxystyrenes with a variety of carboxylic acids produced gem-difluoroalkenes, which underwent SNV-type 5-endo-trig cyclization to give 2-fluorobenzofurans. Mechanistic studies indicated that the electron transfer between phenoxyl radicals and carboxylates was the major pathway for the generation of alkyl radicals.

Aim: To evaluate the clinical performance of PAX1 methylation (PAX1m) and cytology for patients with non-HPV16/18 high-risk HPV (hrHPV) infection. Methods: Cervical exfoliated cells from 387 outpatients with non-HPV16/18 hrHPV - positive were collected for cytology and PAX1m assays. Results: The PAX1m level increased with the severity of cytology and histopathology. For cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN)CIN2+/CIN3+, the areas under the curve were both 0.87. The specificity and positive predictive value (PPV) of PAX1m were greater than abnormal cytology (CIN2+ specificity: 75.5 vs 24.8%; PPV: 38.8 vs 18.7%; CIN3+ specificity: 69.3 vs 22.7%; PPV: 14.0 vs 6.7%). Conclusion: PAX1m increased specificity and PPV for CIN2+/CIN3+ compared with cytology for women with non-HPV16/18 hrHPV (+).

Anti-Alzheimer's disease (AD) drugs can only change the symptoms of cognitive impairment in a short time but cannot prevent or completely cure AD. Thus, a more effective drug is urgently needed. Cornuside is extracted from Corni Fructus, a traditional Chinese medicine that plays an important role in treating dementia and other age-related diseases. Thus, the study aimed to explore the effects and mechanisms of Cornuside on the D-galactose (D-Gal) induced aging mice accompanied by cognitive decline. Initially, we found that Cornuside improved the learning and memory abilities of D-Gal-treated mice in behavioral experiments. Pharmacological experiments indicated that Cornuside acted on anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. Cornuside also reversed acetylcholin esterase (AChE) activity. Meanwhile, pathology tests showed that Cornuside had a protective effect on neuron damage. Cornuside increased the expression of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), and down-regulated the expression of receptor for advanced glycosylation end products (RAGE), ionized calcium binding adapter molecule 1 (Iba1), and glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) respectively. Further studies claimed that Cornuside had important effects on the expression of IκBα and extracellular signal-regulated kinases 1/2 (ERK1/2). These effects might be achieved through regulating the AGEs-RAGE-IκBα-ERK1/2 signaling pathway, among which, ERK1/2 might be the key protein. The study provides direct preclinical evidence for the research of Cornuside, which may become an excellent candidate drug for the treatment of aging-related AD.

Background and Objectives: The aim was to explore the interventional effect of the traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) exercise of Tian Dan Shugan Tiaoxi on the emotions of patients with mild novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Materials and Methods: A total of 110 asymptomatic and mildly symptomatic COVID-19 patients from Hongkou Memorial Road Temporary Cabin Hospital and South Renji Hospital were selected between April 2022 and June 2022, and randomly divided into two groups: a control group and an intervention group. There were 55 participants in each group. The control group was treated with Lianhua Qingwen granules, and members of the intervention group were made to practice Tian Dan Shugan Tiaoxi (an exercise that soothes the liver and regulates emotions) every day for 5 days. The Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9), the Generalized Anxiety Disorder questionnaire (GAD-7), and the Symptom Checklist 90 (SCL-90) were used to evaluate the data collected before and after the trial. Results: The incidence of anxiety and depression was high in the patients included in this study, at 73.64% and 69.09%, respectively. After intervention, the scores of the Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9) and the Generalized Anxiety Disorder questionnaire (GAD-7) in the two groups had decreased in comparison with those recorded before intervention (p < 0.05). The PHQ-9 and GAD-7 scores in the intervention group were significantly better than those of the control group (p < 0.05). The factors of somatization, depression, anxiety, hostility, and fear in the SCL-90 in the intervention group were significantly improved after intervention, and generally, better than those in the control group (p < 0.05). Conclusions: Patients infected with novel coronavirus in shelter hospitals have different degrees of emotional abnormalities. Tian Dan Shugan Tiaoxi can reduce the anxiety and depression of people with mild novel coronavirus, and it can be practiced clinically to improve the recovery rate among infected people.

This research aims to explore the online English learning effects among preschoolers with different cognitive characteristics influenced by different learning methods and the interaction between cognitive characteristics and learning methods. Data are collected by using two 3 × 3 between-subject experiments. Wherein, 248 participants based on Embedded Figure Test are divided into Field Independence (FID), Field Mixed (FM), and Field Dependence (FM) in Study 1, while 247 participants based on the Go-No-Go task are divided into Higher self-control (HSC), Middle self-control (MSC), Lower self-control (LSC) in Study 2. Then, through random assignment, all participants enter three learning method groups, restudy (RS), restudy plus test (RST), and restudy plus test plus feedback (RSTF). In addition, all children were allowed to learn online on the iPad to test their learning outcomes by word recognition, picture-word matching, and picture book recognition tests. As seen from the results, FID children performed better than FM and FD children, but their learning outcomes were not affected by the learning methods. FM and FD children performed better when adopting the RSTF learning method. However, for children with different levels of self-control, no differences are found despite their learning methods. Given the above, the "fit/match" between children's cognitive style and online learning methods are effective in maximizing learning effects for preschoolers.

Arsenic is known as a well-established human carcinogen. Gap Junction Protein Alpha 1 (GJA1) is a multifunction protein that forms gap junction channels and is important for intercellular communication. Recently, its aberrant expression has been shown to associate with cancer recurrence and metastatic spread. However, whether GJA1 plays a role in arsenic carcinogenesis remains unknown. Here, we demonstrated that chronic exposure of human bronchial epithelial BEAS-2B cells to sodium arsenite promoted epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) via increasing the expression of EMT inducer S100A4 and activation of MAPK/ERK signaling. In vitro and in vivo experiments showed that chronic exposure to sodium arsenite reduced GJA1 expression. Forced expression of GJA1 inhibited sodium arsenite-induced EMT via suppressing MAPK/ERK signaling whereas GJA1 knockdown produced an opposite effect. Intriguingly, chronic exposure to sodium arsenite increased autophagy flux. Inhibition of autophagy by pharmacological intervention or genetic deletion of autophagy core gene Beclin-1 upregulated GJA1 expression. These results suggested that GJA1 restrained the carcinogenic effect of sodium arsenite by limiting MAPK/ERK signaling, and GJA1 expression was decreased by arsenic-activated autophagy. In addition, interventions directed at enhancing the level or functional activity of GJA1 could be of preventive and therapeutic interest.

Yeast is widely used in the fermentation industry, and the major challenges in fermentation production system are high capital cost and low reaction rate. High cell-density culture is an effective method to increase the volumetric productivity of the fermentation process, thus making the fermentation process faster and more robust. During fermentation, yeast is subjected to various environmental stresses, including osmotic, ethanol, oxidation, and heat stress. To cope with these stresses, yeast cells need appropriate adaptive responses to acquire stress tolerances to prevent stress-induced cell damage. Since a single stressor can trigger multiple effects, both specific and nonspecific effects, general and specific stress responses are required to achieve comprehensive protection of cells. Since all these stresses disrupt protein structure, the upregulation of heat shock proteins and trehalose genes is induced when yeast cells are exposed to stress. A better understanding of the research status of yeast HCDC and its underlying response mechanism to various stresses during fermentation is essential for designing effective culture control strategies and improving the fermentation efficiency and stress resistance of yeast.

BACKGROUND: This study aimed to investigate the prevalence of preoperative deep venous thrombosis (DVT) following intertrochanteric fractures in the elderly and identify the associated factors, based on which a risk prediction model was developed. METHOD: This was a retrospective single-center study of elderly patients presenting with intertrochanteric fractures between our institution between January 2017 and December 2020. Patients' duplex ultrasound (DUS) or venography results were retrieved to evaluate whether they had a preoperative deep venous thrombosis (DVT) of bilateral extremities, whereby patients were dichotomized. Various variables of interest on demographics, comorbidities, injury and biomarkers were extracted and their relationship between DVT were investigated. Statistically significant variables tested in multivariate logistics regression analyses were used to develop a risk prediction model. RESULTS: There were 855 patients eligible to be included in this study, and 105 were found to have preoperative DVT, with a prevalence rate of 12.3%. Ten factors were tested as significantly different and 2 marginally significant between DVT and non-DVT groups in the univariate analyses, but only 6 demonstrated the independent effect on DVT occurrence, including history of a VTE event (OR, 4.43; 95%CI, 2.04 to 9.62), time from injury to DVT screening (OR, 1.19; 95%CI, 1.13 to 1.25), BMI (OR, 1.11; 95%CI, 1.04-1.18), peripheral vascular disease (OR, 2.66; 95%CI, 1.10 to 6.40), reduced albumin (2.35; 95%CI, 1.48 to 3.71) and D-Dimer > 1.0 mg/L(OR, 1.90; 95%CI, 1.13 to 3.20). The DVT risk model showed an AUC of 0.780 (95%CI, 0.731 to 0.829), with a sensitivity of 0.667 and a specificity of 0.777. CONCLUSION: Despite without a so high prevalence rate of DVT in a general population with intertrochanteric fracture, particular attention should be paid to those involved in the associated risk factors above. The risk prediction model exhibited the improved specificity, but its validity required further studies to verify.

Nano-copper has been increasingly employed in various products. In previous studies, we showed that nano-copper caused damage in the rat testis, but it remains unclear whether the toxic reaction can affect the reproductive function. In this study, following 28 d of exposure to nano-copper at a dose of 44, 88, and 175 mg/kg/day, there was a decrease in sperm quality, fructose content, and the secretion of sex hormones. Nano-copper also increased the level of oxidative stress, sperm malformation rate, and induced abnormal structural changes in testicular tissue. Moreover, Nano-copper upregulated the expression of apoptosis-related protein Bax and autophagy-related protein Beclin, and downregulated the expression of Bcl2 and p62. Furthermore, nano-copper (175 mg/kg) downregulated the protein expression of AMPK, p-AKT, mTOR, p-mTOR, p-4E-BP1, p70S6K, and p-p70S6K, and upregulated the protein expression of p-AMPK. Therefore, nano-copper induced damage in testicular tissues and spermatogenesis is highly related to cell apoptosis and autophagy by regulating the Akt/mTOR signaling pathway. In summary, excess exposure to nano-copper may induce testicular apoptosis and autophagy through AKT/mTOR signaling pathways, and damage the reproductive system in adult males, which is associated with oxidative stress in the testes.

Tumor differentiation is a therapeutic strategy aimed at reactivating the endogenous differentiation program of cancer cells and inducing cancer cells to mature and differentiate into other types of cells. It has been found that a variety of natural small-molecule drugs can induce tumor cell differentiation both in vitro and in vivo. Relevant molecules involved in the differentiation process may be potential therapeutic targets for tumor cells. Compared with synthetic drugs, natural small-molecule antitumor compounds have the characteristics of wide sources, structural diversity and low toxicity. In addition, natural drugs with structural modification and transformation have relatively concentrated targets and enhanced efficacy. Therefore, using natural small-molecule compounds to induce malignant cell differentiation represents a more targeted and potential low-toxicity means of tumor treatment. In this review, we focus on natural small-molecule compounds that induce differentiation of myeloid leukemia cells, osteoblasts and other malignant cells into functional cells by regulating signaling pathways and the expression of specific genes. We provide a reference for the subsequent development of natural small molecules for antitumor applications and promote the development of differentiation therapy.

Light-driven micromotors have stimulated considerate interests due to their potentials in biomedicine, environmental remediation, or serving as the model system for non-equilibrium physics of active matter. Simultaneous control over the motion direction and speed of micro/nanomotors is crucial for their functionality but still difficult since Brownian motion always randomizes the orientations. Here, a highly efficient light-driven ZnO/Pt Janus micromotor capable of aligning itself to illumination direction and exhibiting negative phototaxis at high speeds (up to 32 µm s-1 ) without the addition of any chemical fuels is developed. A light-triggered self-built electric field parallel to the light illumination exists due to asymmetrical surface chemical reactions induced by the limited penetration depth of light along the illumination. The phototactic motion of the motor is achieved through electrophoretic rotation induced by the asymmetrical distribution of zeta potential on the two hemispheres of the Janus micromotor, into alignment with the electric field. Notably, similar phototactic propulsion is also achieved on TiO2 /Pt and CdS/Pt micromotors, which presents explicit proof of extending the mechanism of dipole-moment induced phototactic propulsion in other light-driven Janus micromotors. Finally, active transportation of yeast cells are achieved by the motor, proving its capability in performing complex tasks.

BACKGROUND: To investigate the efficacy and safety of interval debulking surgery (IDS) combined with dense hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) with cisplatin in Chinese patients with FIGO stage III serous epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC). METHODS: This retrospective single-center study reviewed the demographic and clinical data of 197 patients with primary FIGO stage III serous EOC who were treated with IDS with (n = 121) or without (n = 76, control group) dense HIPEC between January 2012 and April 2017. The co-primary endpoints were progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS), and the secondary endpoint was the occurrence of adverse events. RESULTS: The median PFS was 24 months in the IDS plus dense HIPEC group, whereas it was 19 months in the IDS alone group (hazard ratio [HR] 0.46, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.33-0.65, p = 0.000). The median OS in patients treated with IDS plus dense HIPEC (51 months) was significantly longer than that in patients treated with IDS alone (40 months, HR 0.52, 95% CI: 0.35-0.78, p = 0.001). The demographic and preoperative clinical characteristics of these two groups were comparable (p > 0.05). In the IDS alone group, no adverse events were recorded in 42 (55.3%) of the 76 patients, and 14 (18.4%) patients were reported to have grade III/IV adverse events. In the IDS plus dense HIPEC group, no adverse events were recorded in 55 (45.5%) of the 121 patients, and 23 (19.0%) patients were reported to have grade III/IV adverse events. No postoperative deaths occurred within 30 days in either group and neither did severe fatal complications in the IDS plus dense HIPEC group. CONCLUSIONS: IDS plus dense HIPEC with cisplatin in Chinese patients with FIGO stage III serous EOC is associated with improved survival and is reasonably well tolerated by patients.

OBJECTIVE: The involvement of lysosomal integral membrane protein 2 (LIMP2) in cholesterol transport and formation of foam cells under the infection of Porphyromonas gingivalis (P. gingivalis) is yet to be elucidated. The current study verified the role and explored the mechanism of LIMP2 in promoting foam cell formation by P. gingivalis. BACKGROUND: An association between periodontitis and atherosclerosis (AS) has been established. P. gingivalis is a key pathogen of periodontitis that promotes foam cell formation by regulating activities of CD36 scavenger receptors expressed on the macrophages. LIMP2, a member of CD36 superfamily, is involved in cholesterol efflux. However, whether LIMP2 is involved in the formation of foam cells promoted by P. gingivalis remains unclear. METHODS: The formation of foam cells was examined by Oil Red O staining. The knockdown of limp2 was identified by qRT-PCR. The accumulation of cholesterol was monitored by Cholesterol Assay Kit. The location of P. gingivalis was visualized by confocal microscopy. Cathepsin L activity was monitored with Magic Red Cathepsin L Assay Kit. The key genes and pathways in P. gingivalis-infected macrophages were explored by RNA sequencing. The protein level was investigated by Western blotting. RESULTS: Porphyromonas gingivalis increases foam cells formation and upregulates the expression of LIMP2 in foam cells. The knockdown of limp2 decreases the number of foam cells and increases cholesterol export, which is related to lysosomal functions. In addition, the interaction between LIMP2 and caveolin-1(CAV1) might contribute to this process, and NF-κB and JNK activity is required for increased expression of P. gingivalis-induced LIMP2. CONCLUSIONS: This study suggested that LIMP2 is involved in the foam cells formation facilitated by P. gingivalis, which favors a close connection between periodontitis and atherosclerosis (AS).

Cornusdiridoid A-F (1-6), six unusual cornuside-morroniside secoiridoid dimers, and their possible new biogenetic precursor, 3″,5″-dehydroxycornuside (7), together with four known secoiridoids (8-11), were obtained from the fruits of Cornus officinalis. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of various spectroscopic and chemical methods. A plausible biosynthetic pathway of compounds 1-11 was proposed. The α-glucosidase inhibitory, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities of these isolates were evaluated. Some of them emerged out as potent antidiabetic, anti-inflammatory and free radical scavenging agents. Molecular docking was also carried out for antidiabetic target α-glucosidase to investigate the possible binding modes of the most potent α-glucosidase inhibitor, vincosamide (9). These results revealed that the secoiridoids from C. officinalis fruits may be served as new potential antidiabetic agents to prevent and treat type 2 diabetes.

Late blight, caused by Phytophthora infestans, is severely damaging to the global tomato industry. Micro-RNAs (miRNAs) have been widely demonstrated to play vital roles in plant resistance by repressing their target genes. Recently, the clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats (CRISPR)/CRISPR-associated protein 9 (Cas9) method has been continuously improved and extensively applied to edit plant genomes. However, editing multiplex miRNAs by CRISPR/Cas9 in tomato has not been studied yet. We knocked out miR482b and miR482c simultaneously in tomato through the multiplex CRISPR/Cas9 system. Two transgenic plants with silenced miR482b and miR482c simultaneously and one transgenic line with silenced miR482b alone were obtained. Compared with wild-type plants, the disease symptoms of three transgenic plants upon infection were reduced, accompanied by increased expression of their common target nucleotide binding site-leucine-rich repeat genes and decreased levels of reactive oxygen species. Furthermore, silencing miR482b and miR482c simultaneously was more resistant than silencing miR482b alone in tomato. More importantly, we found that knocking out miR482b and miR482c can elicit expression perturbation of other miRNAs, suggesting cross-regulation between miRNAs. Our study demonstrated that editing miR482b and miR482c simultaneously with CRISPR/Cas9 is an efficient strategy for generating pathogen-resistant tomatoes, and cross-regulation between miRNAs may reveal the novel mechanism in tomato-P. infestans interactions.

Nano-copper (nano-Cu) is widely used in the pharmaceutical field as well as a feed additive for animals owing to its unique physicochemical characteristics and bioactivities. In our previous study, nano-Cu was found to hamper fetal development; however, the toxicity of nano-Cu and its effects in placental function have not been elucidated. Therefore, we investigated the toxic effects of nano-Cu using rat placenta. Pregnant Sprague-Dawley rats were orally exposed to different copper sources from the third day of gestation (GD 3) to GD 18. We found that nano-Cu (180 mg/kg) and CuCl2.2 H2O increased the accumulation of copper. Besides, nano-Cu and CuCl2.2 H2O disrupted the placental morphology and induced oxidative stress. Micro-copper (micro-Cu) caused similar toxicity in the placenta, but its effects were weaker than that of nano-Cu and CuCl2.2 H2O. In addition, exposure to nano-Cu (180 mg/kg) and CuCl2.2 H2O induced inflammation in the rat placenta. Furthermore, nano-Cu, micro-Cu, and CuCl2.2 H2O upregulated the expression of the autophagy-related proteins, Beclin-1 and LC3 II/ LC3 I, and downregulated that of p62. Moreover, nano-Cu, micro-Cu, and CuCl2.2 H2O downregulated the protein expression of PI3K, p-AKT/AKT, and p-mTOR/mTOR in rat placentas, whereas the protein expression of p-AMPK/AMPK was upregulated. Taken together, our data indicated that prenatal exposure to nano-Cu induced autophagy via the PI3K/AKT/mTOR and AMPK/mTOR pathways, which associated with oxidative stress and inflammation in rat placenta.

Three-way concept analysis (3WCA) is extended research of formal concept analysis (FCA) by combining three-way decision. The three-way object oriented concept lattice (OEOL) is one of the important data structures which integrates rough set, concept lattice and three-way decision in 3WCA. In the paper, we investigate the characteristics of formal context based on the isomorphic relationship among the kinds of concept lattices with OEOL. Firstly, II-dual intersectable attributes and II-dual intersectable context are proposed and the relationship between the type I-dual intersectable context(dual intersectable context) and the type II-dual intersectable context are studied. In addition, the relationship among the kinds of concept lattices with OEOL are studied when the formal context is both I-dual intersectable context and II-dual intersectable context. Finally, the inverse problems of the above conclusions are discussed and the following two conclusions are obtained: (1) the formal context is the type II-dual intersectable context, when the object oriented concept lattice and OEOL are isomorphic. (2) In addition, the formal context is the type I-dual intersectable context, when the concept lattice and OEOL are anti-isomorphic.

BACKGROUND: Because of the COVID-19 epidemic, people are mostly isolated at home and must seek medical advice over the internet. In addition, government authorities are currently investing greater efforts in developing internet hospitals. PURPOSE: The purpose of this essay was to assess how outpatients feel about online outpatient clinics and to analyze the factors that affect their satisfaction and willingness to return to these clinics. The results provide advice regarding how to more effectively encourage patients to use online outpatient clinics. METHODS: A self-developed questionnaire was used to survey 191 patients who had visited the online outpatient clinic of a tertiary hospital in Sichuan Province from January to July 2019. A descriptive analysis was conducted on the collected data, and factors influencing satisfaction were identified. RESULTS: The majority of the surveyed patients were young or middle-aged (92.7%) and 42.9% held a college degree or higher. Nearly three-quarters (72.2%) expressed feeling satisfied or better with the online outpatient clinic, with 31.4% of these expressing feeling very satisfied. Nearly all (91.1%) expressed the opinion that the online outpatient clinic had improved their awareness of health self-management . Furthermore, 176 (92.1%) were willing to use the online outpatient clinic again. The results of univariate analysis showed that the main factors negatively influencing re-use of the online outpatient clinic were: failure to solve the problem in a timely manner (χ2 = 8.603, p = .045), the complicated process of online registration (χ2 = 8.322, p = .016), the failure of the online physical examination (χ2 = 8.958, p = .015), and unreliable quality (χ2 = 15.373, p = .004). CONCLUSIONS: The participants surveyed in this study reported a lower satisfaction for their online outpatient clinic experience than reported in similar surveys of traditional outpatient services. However, many reported that their health-related self-management awareness had improved after use, indicating that they feel better about the online outpatient clinic. The factors that affected willingness to reuse to the online outpatient clinic related mainly to imperfections related to the clinic and its inability to adequately meet patient needs. Online outpatient clinics should simplify the process of registration, improve functions, and increase service functions such as online examination appointments and follow-up visits to improve patient satisfaction.

BACKGROUND: The purpose of this study was to assess the efficacy and safety of cisplatin-based chemotherapy with or without bevacizumab (BEV) in Chinese women with advanced cervical cancer (ACC). METHODS: For this observational study, we analysed the data of 316 Chinese women with ACC who were treated at the Henan provincial people's hospital between Jan 1, 2014, and Dec 31, 2018, with cisplatin-based chemotherapy plus BEV (CB) or cisplatin-based chemotherapy alone (CA) until disease progression, unacceptable toxicity, or death. The co-primary endpoints were overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival (PFS); the secondary endpoint was the occurrence of adverse events (AEs). RESULTS: A total of 264 patients with ACC were included in the assessment (CB, n = 130 and CA, n = 134). At a median follow-up of 38 months (IQR 36-40), the median OS in the CB cohort was significantly longer than that in the CA cohort (hazard ratio [HR] 1.21, 95% confidence interval[CI] 1.14-1.73; p = 0.002); additionally, the median PFS was 345 days (95% CI, 318-372) for CB and 261 days (95% CI, 165-357) for CA(HR 1.61, 95% CI 1.12-2.17; p = 0.000). Significant differences were noted between groups in terms of thrombosis/embolism, neutropenia, and febrile neutropenia. CONCLUSIONS: In Chinese women with ACC, cisplatin-based chemotherapy plus BEV is associated with improved survival compared to cisplatin-based chemotherapy alone. This finding suggests a positive survival benefit of anti-angiogenesis therapy in this population.
