ABSTRACT

Introduction: Before discovering phospho-diesterase5-blocker erectile dysfunction was considered to treat by psychologists only. Early diagnosing and treating the erectile dysfunction is preventing myocardial infraction and brain stroke. There is not enough evidence based study related to erectile dysfunction with prostate symptoms, aging and testosterone deficiency syndrome.Purpose of our study is investigating the erectile dysfunction men over 40 years comparing to control group.And we studied the relation of erectile dysfunction to prostate symptoms, aging male symptoms and testosterone deficiency syndrome. To determine to late onset hypogonadism by serum level of total testosterone less sensitive than free testosterone. Result:1. Mean IIEF score was in control group 22.38±3.06, respectively in case group 11.36±3.47 (p<0.001).2.There was not statistically significant association with risk factors alcohol, smoking with erectile dysfunction. But IPSS was in control group 10.53±7.22 and in case group 5.79±5.86 (р<0.001).3.Aging male symptoms scale and erectile dysfunction correlated(p<0.002). We detected24.27% (75) of men in this studysuffering from erectile dysfunction with late onset hypogonadismvia using free testosterone.
