Antecedentes históricos de la enseñanza-aprendizaje de la construcción textual escrita en inglés con fines médicos / Historical background of the teaching- learning of written textual construction in English for medical purposes

RESUMEN La enseñanza-aprendizaje del inglés en las universidades médicas ha experimentado cambios de planes de estudios para responder a las demandas de la sociedad relacionada con la formación integral de profesionales de la salud con un determinado nivel de competencia comunicativa en los subcódigos oral y escrito. El presente estudio tiene como objetivo analizar los antecedentes históricos de la construcción textual escrita en la enseñanza aprendizaje del inglés con fines médicos en Cuba. Los métodos del nivel teórico histórico-lógico y análisis-síntesis permitieron el conocimiento de los principales antecedentes y tendencias en el desarrollo de esta temática y la determinación de su historicidad. La revisión de documentos normativos de la carrera Medicina y la bibliografía consultada permitieron la recopilación de información y el establecimiento de las principales tendencias que han caracterizado la construcción textual escrita en inglés con fines médicos.

ABSTRACT The teaching-learning process of English in medical universities has undergone study plan changes to match the demands of the society related to the integral formation of health professionals with communicative competence in English, in the oral and in the written sub-code as well. The objective of the present paper is to analyze the historical background of the written text construction in the teaching-learning process of English for medical purposes in Cuba. The methods of theoretical historical-logical level and analysis-synthesis allowed the knowledge of the main tendencies in the development of this theme and the determination of its historicity. The review of normative documents of the Medicine career and the consulted bibliography on the topic, allowed the compilation of information presented and the establishment of the main trends that have characterized the textual construction written in English for medical purposes.

Los valores ético-morales en las clases prácticas de idioma inglés / The ethical-moral values in the practical classes of the English language

La disciplina Inglés tiene la posibilidad de impartir su docencia de forma práctica, la cual se desarrolla básicamente utilizando el trabajo en parejas y en grupos, esto permite realizar actividades de elaboración conjunta aplicando nuevos métodos en la educación que desarrollan en los estudiantes valores como: la laboriosidad, el colectivismo, la responsabilidad, etc . El objetivo fundamental es enseñar a los estudiantes a pensar y actuar acorde a su tiempo, fortaleciendo los valores que ya ellos poseen. El tratamiento de los valores en las clases de Inglés se puede llevar a cabo en distintos momentos de la clase (motivación, presentación, práctica, producción guiada y/o libre) Y de distintas formas atendiendo a las funciones que se quieren practicar y a la habilidad que se quiera desarrollar: habla, escritura, audición y lectura así como los valores que sean más evidentes en los objetivos de cada clase. En el presente trabajo se sugieren una serie de ejercicios que pueden ser utilizados en las clases de Inglés general o de Inglés con propósitos específicos en el Instituto Superior de Ciencias Médicas de Camagüey y otras enseñanzas con el fin de tratar y/o continuar el arduo trabajo de enseñar y fortalecer valores éticos- morales en el desarrollo del proceso docente- educativo. El fortalecimiento de los valores no constituye una materia del plan de estudio, sino una concepción que debe estar presente y materializarse en todo el sistema de trabajo y actividades de la escuela.

The English discipline has the possibility to impart its teaching in a practical way, wich is basically developed using pair and group work, this allows to carry out activities of combined elaboration applying new methods in the education that they develop in the students values as: the laborious value, the colletivism, the responsability, etc. The fundamental objective is to teach the students to think and to act according to their time, strengthening the values that they already possess. The treatment of the values in English classes you can carry out in different moment of the class (motivation, presentation, practice, guided production and or liberate)and in different ways taking into account the functions you want to practice with the students and the skill you want to develop with them: speaking, writing, listening and reading as well as the values that are more evident in the objectives of each class. Presently work is suggested a series of exercises that can be used in general English classes or in English with specific purposes in the Superior Institute of Medical Sciences of Camaguiey and other levels of teaching of English to the arduos work of teaching and strengthening of the ethical moral values in the development of the values do not constitute a subject of the study plan, but a conception that should be present and should be materialized in the whole work system and activities of the school.
