ABSTRACT

Objective To analyze the prevalence trend of chronic hepatitis C and liver function impairment in Taixi area from 2018 to 2021, and to provide theoretical basis for preventing liver function impairment in hepatitis C patients in Taixi area. Methods The data of hepatitis C cases reported in Taixi were downloaded from the infectious disease reporting Information management system of Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and the epidemiological characteristics of hepatitis C were analyzed by descriptive epidemiological methods. The clinical data including gender, age, place of residence, smoking history, drinking history, therapeutic drugs, genotyping and other clinical data were collected from HIS system of the hospital. Patients were divided into liver function injury group and control group according to whether they had liver function injury. Univariate analysis and logistic regression were used to analyze the factors of liver function injury in hepatitis C patients in Taixi area. Results Among the 550 cases reported from 2018 to 2021, there were no deaths, including 292 males and 258 females. The male cases were more than the female cases, and the average age was (53.47±5.74) years old. There was no significant difference in the composition of male and female cases among different age groups (χ2=1.472,P>0.05). From 2018 to 2021, the proportion of patients aged 40 to 59 was significantly higher than that of patients aged 20 to 39 and ≥60. The occupation composition was mainly farmers, accounting for 44.36% (244/550), and 287 cases (52.18%) lived mainly in rural areas. From 2018 to 2021, 129 (23.45%) of 550 patients with hepatitis C had liver function injury. ALT, AST and GGT values in the liver function injury group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P5%, genotype 1b and high load of HCV-RNA were independent risk factors for liver function impairment in hepatitis C patients in Taixi area (P<0.05). Conclusion The incidence of hepatitis C was high in Taixi area from 2018 to 2021, and patients with CD4+CD25+Treg<5%, genotype 1b and high load of HCV-RNA had a high risk of liver function impairment. Therefore, active treatment should be carried out to reduce the occurrence of liver function injury.

ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND@#TRIM proteins are important members of E3 ubiquitin ligases, and many studies have confirmed that TRIM family members play an important role in the development of various tumors. We found that TRIM59 expression level in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) was significantly increased through second-generation sequencing. The purpose of this study was to investigate the expression of TRIM59 in NSCLC and its relationship with the clinicopathological parameters as well as the prognosis of patients.@*METHODS@#The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) datasets were excavated to analyze the expression of TRIM59 mRNA in NSCLC and its relationship with the prognosis of patients; The expression of TRIM59 protein in 90 tumor tissues and adjacent tissues was detected by immunohistochemical staining, and the relationship between the expression of TRIM59 protein and clinicopathological parameters and prognosis was analyzed.@*RESULTS@#Overexpression of TRIM59 mRNA in tumor tissues predicted poor prognosis. The expression level of TRIM59 protein was significantly higher in tumor tissues than in adjacent tissues, and TRIM59 protein expression was correlated with tumor size (P=0.007), tumor differentiation (P=0.009), tumor-node-metastasis (TNM) stage (P=0.003) and lymph node metastasis (P=0.003). Multivariate Cox regression analyses showed that along with TNM stage, overexpression of TRIM59 could be considered an independent prognostic factor for NSCLC patients.@*CONCLUSIONS@#The expression of TRIM59 is closely related to the prognosis of NSCLC patients, and it is an independent risk factor for NSCLC patients.

ABSTRACT

Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of ultrasound-guided radiofrequency ablation (RFA) in the treatment of thyroid microcarcinoma. Methods Totally 18 patients with 22 thyroid nodules received RFA were enrolled.Routine ultrasound,CEUS and thyroid function test were performed in all patients to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy immediately after RFA,1 month,3 months,6 months,12 months and 24 months after RFA.Results The nodular complete ablation rate was 100%,and no recurrent laryngeal nerve injury, bleeding nor other serious complications occurred. Before RFA,the mean volume of thyroid microcarcinoma was (0.08 ± 0.07)ml.The average follow-up period after radiofrequency ablation was (14.21 ±8.72) months, and the mean volume of microcarcinoma at the last follow-up was (0.004±0.020)ml.Compared with that immediately after ablation, the mean volume of lesions reduced to (1.52±0.64)ml.During the follow-up period,a total of 20 nodules almost disappeared, and no suspicious cervical metastatic lymph nodes were found. Before and after RFA,all patients had normal reference range of thyroid function. Conclusion Ultrasound-guided RFA is a safe method for thyroid microcarcinoma with good curative effect, contributing to effectively preserve thyroid function.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate how patients′ suicide events affects the nurses psychologically ,and seeking for the proper intervention when it happens .Methods Using the Zung self‐evaluating forms (SAS)and self‐made questionnaire to investi‐gate 41 oncology nurse and analyze the data .Results Three days after the patients′ suicide events ,the nurses′ SAS score was (63 .30 ± 9 .21) ,which was prominently different from the average score of nurses who did not face incidents like this (P< 0 .05) ;during the following four weeks ,the nurses′ working state and personal life experience was hugely influenced ,experience of mental stress were severe .Conclusion The management should realize that the impact ,which was caused by these incidents that the pa‐tients committed suicide ,would render psychological damage to the nurses .Therefore ,it is necessary to build up an intervention sys‐tem to prevent the nurses from suffering psychological problems .
