ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the widespread of the liver cancer risk factors in Wuwei city,where low-incidence for liver cancer and offer the cause clue to first-level prevention. Methods Investigate the risk factor and family history of the Wuwei city resident who wlth liver cancer by using case-control study.Estimate the liver cancer heredity mode with the method of Penrose and simple segregation analysis,calculate the degree of heritability with the metllod of Falconer,s regression.Detect the content of the resulting and promoting cancer fungi,volatility N-second nitroso compound in the meal,nitrate and nitrite in the drinking water and the vitamin C in the health adults'serum by means of culturing appraisement,experiment examination etc.Results The risk factom of liver cancer in the Wuwei city were history of viral 'hepatitis type B,kinsfolk tumor,the eating salting or mildewed foods,cirrhosis,drinking surface water,well water,or wine.By using segregation analysis and estimation of heredity mode show that the morbidity of liver cancer discrepancy to the monogenic inheritance mode,maybe the polygenic inheritance mode in Wuwei city.The h~2 of index case first degree relative was 58.74%.Picking out 8 kinds of nitrosamine,14 kinds of resulting and promoting cancer fungi from resident meal.The content of nitrate and nitrite was (38.97±3.14) mg/L,(0.086±0.043) mg/L respectively in shallow well water,the vitamin C in the health adults'serum in summer was(5.74±2.79)mg/L.Conclusion It can be seen that the history of viral hepatitis type B,kinsfolk tumor,eating salting or mildewed foods,cirrhosis,addicted to drink;higher content of nitrate and nitrite in the drinking water and strong carcinogens such as volatility N-nitroso compound in the meal,and also lackingprotection factors such as vitamin C are the risk factors of the Wuwei city resident who with liver cancer,Theinherit susceptivity is the internal environment of resulting cancer change.

ABSTRACT

Objective The incidence of gastric carcinoma(GC) has significantly difference in different areas because it has different cancerogenic and stimulative factors in different areas. Through displaying the epidemic factors of popular GC in Wuwei city, it can supply etiological clue of the first-level prevention to GC. Methods The research methods about epidemiology of migrant were used to investigate the case fatality rate of GC about the people in Qitai county of Xinjiang province who immigrated from Wuwei. According to the information of GC-death registered, we fitted local cluster analyse with Possion-distribution model, and then the results were processed with case-control study of chi square test; Binomial distribution (p+q)n model was used to familial cluster analysis, and the statistical method of X2 was used to compare the difference between the actual incidence and theoretical incidence of GC. Adopting the history arrangement analysis, the canceration of four precancerous diseases were observed. Nitrogen content of nitrate and nitrite in drinking water were respectively measured by using ultraviolet spectrophotometric and hydrochloride naphthaline ethylenediamine methods. Results The death rates of GC of the first-generation and their descendants of emigrants were much lower than those contemporary beings in Wuwei, but were higher than those contemporary beings in Qitai country. The prevalence of GC had region and familial aggregation. The year canceration proportion of people who had precancerous diseases such as stomach polypus, atrophyic gastritis,gastric ulcer, and remnant stomach were 0.459 %, 0.431%, 0.381% and 0.178 % respectively. The percentage of crowd attributive risk were 41.26 %, 29.35 %, 4.68 % and 3.39 % respectively. Nitrogen contents of nitrate and nitrite either in surface water or in shallow water were significantly higher in Wuwei city than that in Lanzhou city (P<0.01). Conclusion Death rates of GC for the emigrants of the first-generation and their descendants are much lower than their ancestry, but higher than those of the generation in Qitai county. The prevalence of GC has region and familial aggregation. It is the immanent factor of popular GC in Wuwei City that there are higher contents of nitrogen content of nitrate and nitrite in residenter' s drinking water and four precancerous diseases including stomach polypus, atrophyic gastritis, gastric ulcer,and remnant stomach.

ABSTRACT

Objective To study the epidemic characteristics of gynecologic cancers,which may pro- vide clues for hypothesis of cause of disease,and for cancer prevention.Methods Through establishing the malignant tumor registering and reporting system,the incidence materials is obtained.According to the intro- ductive method of Instruction of registration of Chinese malignant tumor,we calculate the Statistics Index sign such as Chinese population adjusted rate,world population adjusted rate,standardized rate,cumulative rate of 0~74 years old,etc.Results The year average ineidenee rate approximately of gynecologic cancers in 2001~2005 years is 18.66/100000,Chinese population adjusted rate 15.46/100000,world population adjusted rate 18.93/100000,standardized rate 45.63/100000,cumulative rate 2.14%.The age incidence rate has a rising trend with the age increase,the former 4 in female is cervix uteri cancer,ovary cancer,corpus uteri cancer,and other not specified cancer.Conclusion Gynecologic cancer incidence of Wuwei City shows ris- ing trend.

ABSTRACT

AIM: To observe clinical effect of Fuzheng Guben Granules on mid-terminal esophagus cancer in combination with radiotherapy. METHODS: 232 patients of mid-terminal esophagus cancer were divided randomly into radiotherapy group and Fuzheng Guben Granules associated with radiotherapy. 1.8-2.0 Gy per day, total 50-70 Gy/5-8 weeks. During the course of treatment with Fuzheng Guben Granules and radiotherapy, Fuzheng Guben Granules was administrated, 15 g once, 50-55 days as a treatment course. RESULTS: The survival rates of the radiotherapy group in 1,3,5 years were 41.4%, 14.7%,7.6%. The survival rates of Fuzheng Guben Granules associated with radiotherapy group were 63.8%,29.3%,19.03% in contrast, the survival rates of Fuzheng Guben Granules associated with radiotherapy group were obviously superior to the radiotherapy group in 1.3.5 years (P
