ABSTRACT
Objective To analyze the relationship between virulence genes and traditional Kanagawa phenomena,based on the virulence genes carried by Vibrio parahaemolyticus isolates from different sources of serovar O3,to provide basic data for further studies on the pathogenicity of Vibrio parahaemolyticus.Methods Multiplex polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and Kanagawa phenomenon assay were performed to detect the existence of virulence associated genes tdh and trh as well as haematolysis of Vibrio parahaemolyticus serovar O3 strains with different origin.The correlation between tdh and trh genes and Kanagawa phenomenon were verified based on test.Results Among 183 Vibrio parahaemolyticus serovar O3:K6 strains,tdh gene was detected in 182 strains and trh gene exists in the remaining strain,detection rate of the two genes were 99.45% (182/183) and 0.55% (1/183),respectively.The positive rate of Kanagawa phenomenon was 100.00% (183/183).Among 57 Vibrio parahaemolyticus serovar O3 non-K6 strains,detection rate of tdh gene was 3.51% (2/57),trh gene was not detected.Furthermore,the positive rate of Kanagawa phenomenon was 10.53% (6/57).Significant correlation between tdh gene and Kanagawa phenomenon was verified (x2=1.78,P > 0.05),meanwhile,similar between trh gene and Kanagawa phenomenon was not detected (x2 =186.01,P <0.05).Conclusion Significant correlation between tdh gene and Kanagawa phenomenon was verified in Vibrio parahaemolyticus serovar O3:K6 strains,and pathogenicity of Vibrio parahaemolyticus can be detected by using PCR method rapidly.
ABSTRACT
Objective To investigate the effect of Panax notoginsenosides monomers ginsenoside Rg 1 in inhibiting hepatic fibro-sis .Methods The rat model of hepatic fibrosis was established by using 50% Ccl4 ,total 35 d .The different doses of Rg1was ad-ministered by hypodermical injection .At the end of the treatment ,the pathological changes of hepatic tissue were observed by light and transmission electron microscope .The stereological method was adopted to measure the volume density (Vvm) ,area density (Svm) ,specific surface(Qm) and surface number density (Nam) of liver cell mitochondria in various groups .Results The stereo-logical data of liver cell mitochondria showed that the statistical differences existed among various groups .Vvm in the Panax Notog-insenosides ,low dose Rg1 and isotonic saline groups were significantly increased compared with the normal control group with sta-tistical difference(P0 .05);Vvm in the high ,middle and low dose Rg1 ,Panax No-toginsenosides and colchicine groups showed the decreasing trend compared with the isotonic saline group without statistical differ-ence(P>0 .05) .Svm in the low dose Rg1 ,Panax Notoginsenosides ,colchicine and isotonic saline groups were significantly increased compared with the normal group with statistical difference (P0 .05) .Conclu-sion Rg1 has antifibrosis effects of Panax notoginsenosides ,even exceeds Panax notoginsenosides in some aspects ,and the above-mentioned effect is positively correlated with dose .Rg1 is an ideal drug for preventing and treating liver fibrosis .

ObjectiveTo observe the effects of chemotherapy on mitochondria ultrarnicrostructure and stereological characteristic of mucinous cystadenocarcinoma (MC) and serous cystadenocarcinoma (SC) and to investigate clinical significance and possible mechanism of chemotherapy on two cystadenocarcinoma.MethodsThe ultramicrostructure changes of mitochondrion were observed with electronic microscope and the stereological changes and its interrelation of volume density (Vv), surface density (Sv) and ratio of surface density(Rsv,μm-1)of mitochondria of the cells in ovarian carcinoma were studied and compared with the normal control. ResultsElectron microscope reveals that the mitochondria swelling and cristae disorganizing were seen in ovarian carcinoma.The Vv(0.072±0.059)and Sv(0.057±0.040)of MC mitochondria were decreased markedly(P =0.004 and P =0.029, respectively), while its Rsv (0.891 ±0.400) μm-1 increased obviously (P =0.015); but the Vv and Sv of mitochondria of the SC cells were increased markedly (0.267±0.12,P =0.001 and 0.122±0.057,P =0.003,respectively).After chemotherapy,cancer cells mitochondrion Sv elevated significantly (0.060±0.037, P = 0.053), showing a similar MC mitochondria of variability. Conclusion Therearedifferentcharacteristicsintheultramicrostructureandstereologicalcharacteristicinthe mitochondria of two types ovarian carcinoma. Effects of chemotherapy may be associated with the ameliorate of construction and function of ovary cells.
