ABSTRACT

Objective To evaluate the value of rs61330082 and rs4730153 polymorphisms of Visfatin locus for the diagnosis of type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)in a high-risk population. Methods SNPscanTM high-throughput single nucleotide polymorphism typing technique was used to genotype Visfatin gene loci rs61330082 and rs4730153 in 346 T2DM patients(T2DM group)and 1426 normal controls(NC group).Logistic regression analysis was used to analyze T2DM risk factors.ROC curves were used to analyze the optimal cut-off values of Visfatin gene rs61330082 and rs4730153 for the diagnosis of T2DM.Results The proportion of women,age,obesity,smoking,hypertension,FPG,HbA1c and TG were higher in T2DM group than those in NC group(P<0.01)and HDL-C was lower than in NC group(P<0.01).The frequency of G allele and GG genotype was higher in T2DM group compared with NC group(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that age, female, obesity, hypertension,TG,and GG genotype at rs4730153 locus were risk factors for T2DM,HDL-C was a protective factor for T2DM.The area under the ROC curve of GG genotype at Visfatin rs4730153 mutation for diagnosis of T2DM was 0.668 and the optimal cut-off point for predicting T2DM was 20.04%,with sensitivity 60.1%and specificity 66.1%,respectively.Conclusion The GG genotype of Visfatin gene rs4730153 locus is associated with the risk of T2DM and can beused as a candidate gene for predicting phenotype of T2DM.

ABSTRACT

Abstract@#Allergic diseases can occur in all systems of the body, covering the whole life cycle, from children to adults and to old age, can be lifelong onset and even fatal in severe cases. Children account for the largest proportion of the victims of allergic disease, Children s allergies start from scratch, ranging from mild to severe, from less to more, from single to multiple systems and systemic performance, so the prevention and treatment of allergic diseases in children is of great importance, which can not only prevent high risk allergic conditions from developing into allergic diseases, but also further block the process of allergy. At present, there is no consensus on the management system of allergic children in kindergartens and primary schools. The "Consensus on Allergy Management and Prevention in Kindergartens and Primary Schools", which includes the organizational structure, system construction and management of allergic children, provides evidence informed recommendations for the long term comprehensive management of allergic children in kindergartens and primary schools, and provides a basis for the establishment of the prevention system for allergic children.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To objectively evaluate the therapeutic effect of Chinese cupping therapy.Method:Near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) was used to evaluate the concentration change in oxygenated hemoglobin ([HbO 2]), deoxy-hemoglobin ([Hb]) and blood volume ([tHb]) in 13 healthy volunteers during cupping therapy for the infraspinatus muscle. Results:During the cupping therapy and its pre- and post-treatment period, it was observed that [Hb] and [tHb] in the tissue surrounding the cupping site decreased significantly (both P<0.05), and [HbO 2] increased significantly ( P<0.05), which showed an increase in oxygen uptake. After the cupping was removed, the above hemodynamic changes could still continue for a period of time. Conclusions:Cupping therapy has potential positive therapeutic effects in promoting the hemodynamics for facilitating muscular functions. Functional NIRS surgery has great application potential in the field of physical rehabilitation therapy such as cupping.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVEThe aim of the present study was to assess the association between the polymorphisms of CD36 gene and acute coronary syndrome(ACS).

METHODSGenotypes of CD36 single nucleotide polymorphisms were detected under PCR-RFLP in 522 patients with ACS and 1 215 controls.

RESULTSFor people under Han and Uygur ethnicities, the distribution of genotypes and allele of rs1722505 was significantly different between ACS and the controls(all P < 0.05). For Han population, the frequency of A allele of rs17154181 was significantly lower in ACS group than that in the control group(P = 0.034). Results from logistic regression analysis showed that the AA+AG genotype of rs1722505 was significantly higher in ACS patients than that in controls both between the Hans and the Uygurs(OR = 1.436, 95%CI:1.047-1.970, P = 0.025;OR = 1.589, 95%CI:1.009-2.473, P = 0.046, respectively). For Han people,AA+AG genotype of rs17154181 was significantly lower in ACS patients than that in controls(OR = 0.667, 95% CI:0.494-0.900, P = 0.008).

CONCLUSIONData from the present study suggested that the CD36 gene might serve as a genetic marker of ACS in both Han and Uygur populations.
