ABSTRACT

We experienced one case of epidermoid cyst. This tumor occurs usually in early adult life. So simple excision and testicular preservation are desirable when frozen section reveals the presence of an unequivocally benign lesion.

ABSTRACT

Urinary incontinence is one of the most distressing problems in urologic practice. However, recent advances in implantable devices have significantly improved the outlook for patients with incontinence due to sphincter weakness. Herein we report a case of urinary incontinence treated by artificial sphincter (model AMS 800) implantation. A 25-year-old man presented with continuous and total incontinence, which developed after pelvic bone fracture and urethral injury. cystometry was normal, uroflowmetry and urethrography showed no significant bladder outlet obstruction, and urethral closing pressure was significantly decreased. After artificial sphincter implantation to the bladder neck. the patient showed good results both clinically and urodynamically.

ABSTRACT

An extensive variety of methods has been used to detect antisperm antibodies in infertile individuals, and this reflects a concern about the immunological validity, interpretation and standardization of the tests. Comparisons of different methods using the same test materials have shown little correlation between results. The purpose of this Study is to compare the results of three methods. ELISA, gelatin agglutination test and sperm immobilization test-using the same test materials based on recommendations from WHO workshop. The results are as follows: 1. Ten normal controls showed negative reactions in all the 3 tests. Out of 34 patients, the positive sera were noted in 23 (67.6%) on ELISA test, 20 (58.8%) on gelatin agglutination test and 18 (52.9%) on sperm immobilization test. 2. Fifteen (44.1 %) out of 34 patients showed positive reactions in all the 3 tests, and 26 (76.5%) out of 34 patients showed positive reaction in one or more tests. 3. The titers of the antisperm antibodies were higher in the following orders; ELISA, gelatin agglutination test and sperm immobilization test. Therefore, it seems to be possible to increase the detectability of the antisperm antibodies, if more than one tests are impolyed.

ABSTRACT

The Mentor inflatable penile prosthesis was designed to decrease the incidence of mechanical failures associated with the Scott inflatable penile prosthesis. The penile cylinders of the Mentor prosthesis are manufactured from Bioflex polyurethane, which is more resistant to abrasion and relatively in elastic than silicone. the material of the Scott prosthesis. The Mentor prosthesis also has a connector system which employs plastic snap-lock ring clamps rather than suture ties to fix tubings to connector. We experienced a case of Mentor inflatable penile prosthesis for vasculogenic erectile impotence in a42 year old male.

ABSTRACT

Intracorporeal synthetic penile implants, inflatable and noninflatable, have proved effective surgical adjuvants to the treatment of impotence during the last 20 years. Jonas noninflatable silicone prosthesis in which silver wires are embedded allows voluntary downward bending of the penis for urination in resting position and upward straightening for intercourse, thus, combining the simplicity of a noninflatable prosthesis with a more normal appearing detumescent phase. We experienced a case of Jonas silicone-silver penile prosthesis for erectile impotence in a 39 years old male.

ABSTRACT

Mustarde single stage urethroplasty for distal shaft hypospadias combines a rolled ventral pedicle flap with a glandular tunnel between the glans and corpora. The meatus terminates at the tip of the glans, complete distal penile chordee release is achieved and the hooded prepuce is brought ventrally. Herein, we report an experience of Mustarde single stage urethroplasty for distal penile hypospadia in a 5 years old male, with a brief review of literatures.
