ABSTRACT

20 patients with cleft palate and secretory otitis media were subjected to cleft repair and myringotomy with Grommet insertion. After 6 months the Eustachian function was reevaluated. 55% of the sample showed improved function, whereas 45% remained with the same problem. This may be due to presence of other mechanisms of Eustachian dysfunction or due to hamulotomy
