ABSTRACT
During running work on ectoparasites of the Red Sea fish, and by examination of 60 Acanthopagrus bifasciatus [locally called Rabaag], collected from Sharm El-Sheikh, it was found that 17 fishes [28.3%] were infested with a copepod ectoparasite, Clavella uncinata [Lernaepodidae]. As this ectoparasite is recorded for the first time in Egypt and also in the Red Sea fish, Acanthopagrus bifasciatus, the morphological characters of this parasite as well as its pathological effect were studied and discussed in the present work
