ABSTRACT

Objective@#To evaluate the immunogenicity of different strains of inactivated poliomyelitis vaccines (IPV) by sequential program.@*Methods@#This parallel-group controlled trial was conducted in immunization clinics in Shanghai from March 2016 to September 2017. Sabin strains inactivated poliomyelitis vaccines (sIPV), WPV strains inactivated poliomyelitis vaccines (wIPV) and live poliomyelitis Type Ⅰ Type Ⅲ vaccine (bOPV) as the investigational vaccine were used at 2, 3, 4 months old in 325 infants in Shanghai. Infants vaccinated by four sequential program were divided into 4 groups: sIPV+sIPV+bOPV, sIPV+wIPV+bOPV, wIPV+sIPV+bOPV and wIPV+wIPV+bOPV. A total of 230 investigators′ blood samples were collected before primary immunization and 163 investigators′ blood samples were collected after primary immunization. A total of 151 investigators (36, 44, 30 and 41 in each group) finished primary immunization and blood sampling before and after the primary immunization. The geometric mean titer (GMT) of poliovirus typesⅠ and Ⅲ neutralizing antibody was tested and calculated, and the positive results of antibody before and after primary immunization were analyzed.@*Results@#Among the 151 investigators, the age were (2.27±0.61) months and birth weight were (3.27±0.43) kg, and 70 were male. The positive rates of typeⅠwas 98.68% (149 cases), and type Ⅲ was 97.35% (147 cases); the number of investigators tested in each group was 36, 44, 30 and 41, respectively; the positive rates of typeⅠwas 97.22% (35 cases), 100.00% (44 cases), 96.67% (29 cases) and 100.00% (41 cases) (P=0.345); the positive rates of type Ⅲ were 97.22% (35 cases), 95.45% (42 cases), 96.67% (29 cases) and 100.00% (41 cases) (P=0.614).@*Conclusion@#Using sIPV and wIPV simultaneously or alternately for sequential immunization of poliomyelitis vaccines showed good immunogenicity for infants at appropriate age.

ABSTRACT

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of probiotics on chemotherapy-induced intestinal mucositis in rats. Methods The databases including PubMed,EMbase,Cochrane,CBM,CNKI,WanFang and VIP were retrieved from their establishment to April 2016.The related randomized controlled trials(RCT) on the effects of probiotics for treating chemotherapy-induced intestinal mocositis in rats were included. The relevant literatures were screened according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, then the data were extracted and analyzed. Results Total 6 RCT were included.Compared with the control group, the intestinal secretion and absorption function in the probiotics group was strengtnened[SMD=1.73,95 %CI(0.79,2.68),P<0.01],jejunal anti-oxidant capacity was increased [SMD=-2.12,95%CI(-3.56,-0.67),P<0.01],however low dose probiotics (<1 × 109 cfu/d)had no protective effect on small intestine[SMDjejunum =-0.06,95%CI(-0.51,0.40),SMDileum =0.02,95% CI(-0.71,0.75);P >0.05],while high dose probiotics(≥ 1 × 109 cfu/d) could reduce the intestinal pathological damage[SMDjejunum =-0.64,95 % CI (-1.20,-0.09),SMDileum=-0.85,95% CI(-1.59,-0.12);P<0.05].Conclusion High dose probiotics can reduce chemotherapy-induced intestinal mucositis in rats.Because of less included literatures and the influence of publication bias, the effect of probiotics on chemotherapy induced mucositis could be overestimated.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the differences of bacterial culture results and time consumption between the two methods of holding the syringes to draw physic liquors,so as to find the objective and scientific evidences to raise the efficiency of the clinical nursing work and to ensure the medication safety at the same time. Methods Making bacterial cultures for the physic liquors respectively drawn by grasping the piston of syringes (30 cases in the experimental group) and grasping the piston holder of syringes(30cases in the control group).Recorded the time consumption by grasping the piston of syringes to draw the physic liquors (the experimental group) and grasping the piston holder of syringes to draw the physic liquors (the control group). The testing results were compared between the two groups. Results Bacterial cultures:There was no bacteria growth in both groups.Timing:The time spent by grasping the piston of syringes to draw physic liquors was obviously shorter than that by grasping the piston holder of syninges to draw physic liquors. Conclusions Grasping the piston of syringes to draw physic liquors can ensure the medication safety and raise the work efficiency.
