ABSTRACT

El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo evaluar la relación entre la calidad de vida relacionada con la salud y el apoyo social funcional en 50 pacientes de ambos géneros con diagnóstico de VIH/SIDA de la ciudad de Medellín, Colombia. Se utilizaron los cuestionarios: MOS-SF-30 que mide Calidad de Vida y el DUKE-UNK que evalúa Apoyo Social Funcional. Los resultados evidenciaron una calidad de vida favorable en todas las subescalas del MOS-SF-30 con excepción de la subescala de Malestar respecto a la salud. De otro lado se encontraron niveles altos de apoyo social. Por último, todo el estudio tuvo alta consistencia interna con un Alfa de Cronbach superior a 0.7.


The aim of this study was to evaluate the relationship between health-related quality of life and the social functional support in 50 patients of both genders with diagnosis of FflV/AIDS of the city of Medellin, Colombia. The questionnaires were in use: MOS-SF-30 that measures Quality of Life and the DUKE-UNK that it evaluates Social Functional Support. The results evidenced a quality of life good in all the subscale of MOS-SF-30 except for the subscale of Uneasiness regarding the health. Of another side it was high levels of social support. Finally, all the study had internal high consistency, with superior Crobach's alpha to 0.7.
