ABSTRACT

Objective: To analyze the diversity differences of gut microbiota between school-aged obese children and normal-weight children and identify the characteristic flora in obese children to provide some evidence for the subsequent study of the following study-related mechanisms and the prevention and treatment of obesity in school-aged children. Methods: This study was based on a cohort established in a primary school in Jiading district, Shanghai, 2016. Sixty-three children, including 43 boys and 20 girls, who were obese during the three years from 2016 to 2018, were enrolled in the obesity group. Among children who were average weight for three years, a total of 63 were selected as the control group, with matching with the obese ones in a 1 to 1 way according to age, sex and class. The primary characteristics, diet status, breastfeeding, and other information of children were collected by questionnaire. Fecal samples of participants in both groups were collected, and 16S rDNA sequencing was performed. Operable taxon units clustering according to 97% similarity and species annotation were based on the quality-optimized sequences. The difference in the diversity and genius of gut microbiota among children in the obesity and control groups were analyzed. The α diversity indices, including Ace, Chao1, Shannon, and Simpson index, were calculated. The β diversity was presented based on unweighted Unifrac distance and weighted Unifrac space by principal coordinate analysis. The differences in β diversity between the two groups were compared by similarity analysis (ANOSIM).The differences in genus distribution between the two groups were selected by STAMP software. The association of obesity with the α diversity and genus with significant differences were analyzed by the generalized linear model (GLM). Results: The Ace and Chao1 index in the obesity group was significantly lower than those in the control group (The P values were 0.026 and 0.039, respectively). There was no significant difference in Shannon and Simpson index between the two groups (The P values were 0.879 and 0.922, respectively). The results of ANOSIM showed differences in gut microbiota between the two groups (R>0), but the group contribution was not significant (unweighted Unifrac distance: R=0.006, P=0.223; weighted Unifrac distance: R=0.010, P=0.134). Among the obese group, the relative abundance of Prevotella and Sarcina was highest in the endemic genus. The STAMP results showed that the relative lots of 15 genera were significantly different between the two groups (P<0.05). The results of GLM showed that, compared with the control group, the obesity group had a lower level of the relative abundance in Akkermansia muciniphila, while a higher level in Coprococcus_3, Ruminococcus, Agathobacter and Collinsella. After stratification by sex, the Chao1 index was also lower in the obese boys than that in the normal-weight boys. However, the obese girls only had a higher level in Coprococcus_3 than the ordinary weight girls. Conclusions: Compared with children with average weight, obese children had lower α diversity of gut microbiota and lower relative abundance of dominant probiotics but had a higher relative lot of genus associated with metabolic disorders, inflammation promotion, and metabolism rate reduction.

ABSTRACT

Malocclusion is one of the three most common oral diseases reported by World Health Organization(WHO). In China, its incidence rate is rising. Malocclusion seriously affects the dental and maxillofacial function, facial appearance and growth development of nearly 260 million children in China, and what is more, it affects their physical and mental health development. Malocclusion occurrence is related to genetic and environmental factors. Early treatment of malocclusion can create a good dental and maxillofacial development environment, correct abnormal growth and control the adverse effects of abnormal genetic factors. It can effectively reduce the prevalence of children's malocclusion and enhance their physical and mental health. This is an urgent need from the economic perspective of our society, so it has great practical and social significance. Experts from the project group "standard diagnose and treatment protocols for early orthodontic intervention of malocclusions of children" which initiated by China National Health Institute of Hospital Administration wrote the "China Experts' Consensus on Preventive and Interceptive Orthodontic Treatments of Malocclusions of Children", which aims to guide and popularize the clinical practice, improve the clinical theory and practice level, and accelerate the disciplinary development of early treatment of children's malocclusion in China. The consensus elaborates the harmfulness of malocclusion and the necessity of early treatment, and brings up the principles and fundamental contents. Based on the law of dental and maxillofacial development, this paper puts forward the guiding suggestions of preventive and interceptive treatments in different stages of dental development ranging from fetus to early permanent dentition. It is a systematic project to promote and standardize the early treatment of malocclusion. Through scientific and comprehensive stratified clinical practice and professional training, the clinical system of early treatment of malocclusion in China will eventually be perfected, so as to comprehensively care for children's dental and maxillofacial health, and improve their oral and physical health in China.

ABSTRACT

There are close economic and trade exchanges between China and the Netherlands. At present, the development of Chinese medicine service trade in Holland is centered on the association of traditional Chinese medicine. The drug access policy is relatively loose, but there is no clear legislation, the relevant laws and regulations are not perfect, the drug access route needs to be widened, the construction of medical institutions still needs to be developed, and there is a gap in the service trade of traditional Chinese medicine. Based on this, we should pay attention to the legislation of traditional Chinese medicine in the Netherlands, promote the establishment of overseas centers and other large-scale institutions, pay attention to Chinese medicine insurance and pharmaceutical investment, and comprehensively promote the sustainable development of Chinese medicine service trade in the Netherlands.

ABSTRACT

There is a long exchanges history between China and Spain. The acceptance of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and acupuncture therapy in Spain is increasing in recent years. However, the legal status of TCM has not yet been recognized by the Spanish government, who has a wait-and-see attitude towards acupuncture. The prospects of TCM and acupuncture are still unclear. We could try to gradually permeate TCM and Acupunction into Spain Health System by taking Chinese medicine insurance as a breakthrough, building Chinese medicine knowledge platform and optimizing overseas mergers and acquisitions so as to promote traditional Chinese medicine into the mainstream of Spain.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To explore the expression of IL-22 in the patients with rheumatoid arthritis, and to define the clinical sig-nificance of IL-22 cells for RA. Methods: A total of 50 RA patients, 15 OA patients and 15 healthy controls were enrolled. The proportion of Th22 cells in peripheral blood and synovial fluid( SF) of RA patients was detected by flow cytometry;the levels of IL-22 in serum and synovial fluid of RA patients were detected by ELISA. The clinical parameters of disease activity were assessed including ESR,RF,CRP,DAS28,anti CCP and the degree of bone erosions determined by X-rays. Pearson correlation analysis,t test and Kruskal-Wallis H test were used for statistical analysis. Results:The proportion of Th22 cells in RA patients was higher than that of OA patients (t=2. 290 ,P=0. 021) and healthy controls(t=2. 524,P=0. 015). IL-22 levels in RA patients were higher than that of OA patients (t=2. 560,P=0. 014) and healthy controls(t=2. 768,P=0. 009). IL-22 in the RF positive group were higher than that of RF negative group(t=2. 322,P=0. 035). IL-22 in the anti-CCP antibody positive group were higher than that of anti-CCP antibody negative group (t=2. 504,P=0. 015). The levels of IL-22 were correlated positively with ESR,RF,DAS28(r=0. 312,0. 314,0. 332,P χ20.05(3),P<0. 05). Serum IL-22 levels in the RA patients with joint effusion were higher than that of without(t=2. 587,P=0. 012). The levels of IL-22 in SF were higher than that in serum(t=2. 668,P=0. 011),and had no correlation with the proportion of Th22 cells in SF. Conclusion: The expression of IL-22 in serum and joint effusion of RA patients increase. The level of IL-22 may be useful marker for assessment of disease activity and finding of bone erosions. Therapeutic targeting of IL-22 may be valuable for the intervention of RA.
