Diante da dificuldade clínica em conseguir uma transferência perfeita do posicionamento dos implantes, o objetivo desse artigo foi mostrar uma nova técnica para transferência de implantes múltiplos. A realização da união com resina acrílica dos componentes protéticos calcináveis, previamente preparados, diretamente na boca, permite a confecção de prótese sobreimplantes com assentamento passivo, sem soldas na estrutura metálica e realizada em tempo clínico reduzido

Given the clinical difficulty in achieving perfect implant positioning on impression procedures, the aim of this study was to demonstrate a new technique for multiple implant transfer. Plastic burnout components were prepared with acrylic resin and joined directly in the oral cavity. This step allows for adequate prosthesis fit with no soldered joints and reduced chairside time

O objetivo deste artigo foi apresentar uma técnica alternativa mais efetiva de aplicação de material reembasador resiliente em próteses totais, onde os efeitos adversos e desvantagens inerentes a estes materiais são eliminadas.

The aim of this article is to introduce a new and effective method for using a resilient denture liner, where the adverse effects and disadvantages of these materials are eliminated.

Tratamento simplificado de lesão periapical de implantes / A simplified treatment for periapical lesion on implants

Atualmente, os implantes bucais são parte importante na reabilitação oral, sendo que cada vez mais pacientes e profissionais optam por essa modalidade de tratamento. Algumas complicações vêm sendo observadas por alguns profissionais, sendo a lesão periapical de implante uma delas. O presente trabalho relata um caso clínico no qual foi realizada curetagem da lesão, desinfecção química da área e colocação de membrana reabsorvível bovina sobre o coágulo sanguíneo formado ao redor dos implantes. Após seis meses da intervenção cirúrgica, foi perfeitamente possível reabilitar proteticamente os implantes.

Nowadays, dental implants are an important component on oral rehabilitation treatment. The number of patients and professionals choosing this kind of treatment has considerably increased. However, some complications have been observed being periapical lesion one of them. This work describes a clinical case on which curettage, chemical disinfection, and the placement of a bovine membrane over the blood clot was performed around the implants 6 months after surgery. Thus, it was totally possible to make the prosthetic rehabilitation onto the implants.

Hemorragia durante cirurgia de levantamento do seio maxilar / Bleeding complication on sinus lifting surgery: case report

Relata-se um caso clínico de hemorragia durante cirurgia de levantamento do seio maxilar provocada por uma lesão de ramos intraósseos da artéria alveolar superior posterior. O controle de recursos técnicos e cirúrgicos e o conhecimento anatômico local são imprescindíveis na conduta de casos de hemorragia em seio maxilar.

A description of a case report showing bleeding complication on sinus lifting surgery due to rupture of the intraosseous branches of the superior posterior alveolar artery is reported. The vascular anatomy of the lateral wall of maxillary sinus and the relationship of anatomic structures to this kind of accident is described. The surgeon must be aware of this condition to avoid surgical complications.
