ABSTRACT
Objective:To construct a nursing quality evaluation index system for knee ligament injury to provide a basis for standardizing the nursing practice and improving the nursing quality of knee ligament injury. Methods:Based on the three-dimensional quality structure model of "structure-process-outcome" proposed by Donabedian, the quality evaluation index system for knee ligament injury specialties was constructed through literature review, brainstorming, and Delphi expert consultation from April to June 2023.Results:Sixteen experts were included in the inquiry. The effective recovery rate of the two rounds of expert correspondence questionnaires was 16/16, the expert authority coefficient was 0.95, and the Kendell harmony coefficients of the expert correspondence were 0.116 and 0.122, respectively (both P<0.05). The final constructed knee ligament injury specialty care quality evaluation index system contained 3 primary indicators (structural quality, process quality and outcome quality), 16 secondary indicators, and 69 tertiary indicators. Conclusions:The specialized nursing quality evaluation index system for knee ligament injury constructed in this study is scientific and reliable, which can provide a basis for the evaluation and assessment of the nursing quality of knee ligament injury specialties and promote the continuous improvement of their nursing quality.
ABSTRACT
Objective@#To investigate clinical application of self-designed organ traction bag in male genital immobilization during radiotherapy.@*Methods@#The male patients in the Department of Radiation Oncology, Suzhou Municipal Hospital from August 2018 to June 2019 were immobilized by using organ traction bag. Clinical effect was evaluated by subjective and objective ways which were the location relationship between contents and reference field under visual observation and fluoroscopy, and setup errors by CBCT images.@*Results@#A total of 11 patients were selected, including 3 seminoma, 2 low rectal carcinoma, 2 prostatic carcinoma, 4 pelvic lymph nodes and bone metastases, with mean age 57.18 years old. Patients received 273 times of treatment and 55 times of CBCT verifications in all. Analysis results that the setup errors of the whole group in upper and lower (Vrt), head and foot (Lng), left and right (Lat) directions are less than 0.5 cm, within acceptable clinical threshold. The contents under visual observation and fluoroscopy were not in reference field and were fixed well.@*Conclusions@#Organ traction bag provides stable effect on male genital immobilization while taking patients’ privacy and clinical operability into account. It has high clinical application value in radiotherapy involving male genital protection.
ABSTRACT
Objective To test the drug susceptibility of 16 Mycobactena tuberculosis isolates from patients with cutaneous tuberculosis, and to provide a basis for the treatment of this entity. Methods Sixteen strains of mycobacterium were isolated from patients with cutaneous tuberculosis.and they were consistently identified as M.tuberculosis by biochemistry and molecular biology.Absolute concentration method was used to test the susceptibility of these isolates to isoniazid.streptomycin.rifampicin and ethambutol. For two strains resistant to streptomycin,PCR and sequencing were performed to analyse the mutation of rpsL gene. Results Out ofthe 16 strains of M tuberculosis.2 were resistant to streptomycin but sensitive to isoniazid, rifampicin and ethambutol, and 14 were sensitive to isoniazid, streptomycin, rifampicin and ethambutol.Sequencing of the rpsL gene revealed a mutation of AAG to AGG at codon 43 in one streptomycinresistant strain and a substitution of CGC bv CAC at codon 54 in another resistant strain. Conclusions In past five years, the resistance ratio of M tuberculosis was low in patients with cutaneous tuberculosis, and streptomycin resistance predominated in these strains.
ABSTRACT
Aim To investigate the feasibility of using arnnion allograftcombined with nerve growth factor to bridge peripheral nerve deficit. Methods 48 SD rats as models of sciatic nerve deficit were randomlyassigned into one of the following groups: autograft (Group A), allograftwith Cyclosporine A (CSA) 5 mg/(kg @ d) for 5 weeks (Group B), deficitbridged by amnion allograft combined with nerve growth factor (Group C) ,and allograft with no immune treatment (Group D) . 6 Wistar rats weresacrificed as the donors of the sciatic nerve allograft. Observation wascarried under light microscope and electron microscope examination at 12weeks post-operatively for morphological studying; The latency, ampli-tude, conduct velocity and negative area under the curve were recordedas electrophysiologic index; Maximum contractility of gastrocnemiusmuscle and thickness of myelin of the regenenative nerve were measured;Axons counting were also performed to evaluate the quality of regenera-tion. Results At 12 weeks, group A, B and C recovered better (Indexessuch as latency, amplitude, conduct velocity , negative area under thecurve, maximum contractility of gastrocnemius muscle, thickness of myelinand axons counting were compared by ANOVA test, F= 12.87, P <0.05; F=19.54, P <0.05; F=35.21, P <0.01; F=56.33, P <0.01. F=75.26, P <0.05; F=14.83, P <0.05; F=96.11, P <0.01), and no significant difference was found among these groups ( P >0.05). Conclusion For long distance peripheral nerve deficit, usingamnion allograft combined with nerve growth factor to bridge the deficit canfacilitate the regeneration of nerve and the recovery of function.
ABSTRACT
Objective: To investigate the characteristics of brain laterality in patients with childhood onset schizophrenia. Methods: The study employed a dichotic Chinese word listening test(DL) as a chief measure and WISC-R as an assistant measure to examine 16 patients and 20 normal children as controls. Results: DL indicated that the patients differed from the controls in ear advantages and their performances were significantly poorer than the controls in left ear. The performances of the patients on WISC-R showed that their PIQ was significantly lower than VIQ. Conclusion:The patients with childhood onset schizophrenia differed from the controls in brain laterality. They might be involved with right hemisphere impairment.
