ABSTRACT

Abstract The lack of precision and exhaustiveness in the results obtained when searching for information is a phenomenon that occurs very frequently. The development of more effective services encourages the achievement of better results in information searches. One of the possibilities offered by Web 3.0 are ontologies and with them the emergence of services based on domain ontologies. Services based on domain ontologies include a standardization of their contents, as well as their direct interrelation with other information contained on the Web. The objective of this work is the design of AGROS: an information search service based on an ontology of the agricultural domain. The development of this service includes the modeling of an ontology in Prótegé, so that it facilitates the search and retrieval of information of semantic relevance in this domain of knowledge. The service uses SPARQL queries to display relevant information and automatically generate recommendations. The scope of the service could be expanded, for which other information resources and additional agricultural data sources could be integrated.

ABSTRACT

China and Asean countries all have a history of usingtraditional medicine. With the establishment and development of asean economic zone, traditional medicine has been included in the key areas of economic and social cooperation between China and Asean Countries. We designed and constructed the China-Asean traditional medicine database for understanding and taking advantages of traditional medicine in Asean countries. Based on the principle of software engineering design, referred to the construction ideas, functional modules and construction methods of traditional Chinese medicine database, this paper designed and constructed China-Asean traditional Chinese medicine database, which has provided the basic information system for the exchange, cooperation and development. The database of and asean traditional medicine based on Internet is established, which provides basic data information service for the mutual exchange, cooperation and development of traditional medicine research. The "China-Asean traditional medicine database" has been token as the basic data platform for information centralization and sharing, and it lays a foundation for the construction of higher level knowledge base and intelligent application system to accumulate data in the field of traditional medicine.

ABSTRACT

Background: India has an exploding drug market in generic and brand name products with variable cost. Many doctors tend to rely on pharmaceutical representatives for their prescribing information. Now it is agreed that the major objectives of DISC are to provide a rational basis for choosing and using drugs skilfully to relieve patient’s ailments. This is becoming more and more important as the practicing doctors is now confronted with so called “newer drugs” at such a great pace that even a full- time pharmacologist sometimes finds it difficult to keep abreast of their merits and demerits. The DISC provides the knowledge of number of drugs for practical application while prescribing. To provide healthcare professionals and patients with immediate access to accurate, concise and unbiased information on drug therapy problems. Methods: This is randomized study is to be conducted to determine the opinions of doctors, medical students, nurses, patients, other non-medical staff and general public as a patient representation from our institute campus regarding necessity of drug information. They are provided written feedback forms to be filled. The drug information service center (DISC) routinely responds to queries/inquiries regarding various drug related information. A structured eleven points questionnaire containing both open and close ended questions is prepared for opinion poll in feed-back form. Results: Large majority of the health and non-health professionals of opinion poll are in favour of reforms &innovations. They also suggested their own suggestions regarding the refreshing the subjects. Conclusions: It is essential to create awareness of the services provided by the DISC among physician’s pharmacists, nurses and consumers so that they should come forward to utilize these services.

ABSTRACT

Objective: To carry out telemedicine, remote teaching and conference, training and other activity by using remote medical information service platform based on Internet of Things so as to help primary hospital and clinic to achieve trans-regionally medical rescue and medically professional communication. Methods: Through relied on the modern communication technique and information technique to construct remote medical information service network platform that based on Internet of Things, and to link medical organization and patients of different regions so as to carry out relevant telemedicine activity. Results: Based on the remote medical information service platform, the project has realized the remote medical information system of high definition video conferencing. And its effect could really and naturally presented clearly and dynamically medical data. Therefore, it could quickly and efficiently enhanced the quality and effect of remote medical treatment, teaching and academic conferences. Conclusion: Telemedicine can overcome obstacles leaded by time and space in getting medical service, and telemedicine information service platform is a efficient way in modulating unbalance of medical resource distribution, expediting the construction of primary medical service system, promoting equalization of urban and rural medical service and alleviating problems when people get medical service.

ABSTRACT

Objective To learn the application effects of selective appointment by items of medical care at the endoscope center. Methods Data of the patients receiving gastroscopy examination scheduled by appointment with designated doctors in October through December of 2016 (the control group), and that in January through March scheduled by selective appointment by medical care items ( the improvement group) were selected for comparison. The appointment time, waiting time, workload, secondary waiting time, and patient/doctor satisfaction of the two appointment methods were documented, and compared using independent sample t test, and non-parameter Mann-Whitney U sum of ranks test. Results Compared with the control group, the appointment waiting time of the improvement group [(15.4 ± 2.0)days vs.(24.4 ± 2.2) days], waiting time[(40.0 ± 12.6) min vs.(54.8 ± 15.3) min] were shortened significantly( P<0.05), with much less secondary waiting patients in the improvement groups as well (24.5 ± 7.1 vs. 37.8 ± 9.0, P <0.05 ). Conclusions Design and application of this selective appointment IT system has shortened both appointment and waiting time of patients, securing better medical environment, higher patient satisfaction by means of IT-based and AI-based endoscope appointments.
